On September 29th, 2023, the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office gang unit was conducting surveillance in the area of Toledo Road and Powers Avenue, which is a known gang area for the Gang 3. Three is a documented criminal organization within Jacksonville. Detectives were in unmarked police vehicles. While at the gas station, an undercover detective observed a great Dodge Durango parked at the gas pumps, but the driver did not pump gas during the entire surveillance. A short time later, a gray Dodge Ram arrived with three occupants inside. The officer observed what he believed to be a drug transaction in progress. Turn the truck off.
