Do it now. Slowly walk back to me. >> You must all be wondering how things got this way. Well, minutes earlier, a 911 call was made to report a strong-arm robbery. A woman said an unknown man had snatched cash from her purse, threatened her, and fled the scene. However, things turned out to be very different once the officers learned more about the situation. >> Spin around. >> All right. >> Everybody else, keep your hands up. Don't move. >> Yep. >> We're doing an investigation. How many How many more people in the car? Just two? I got you, man. Front seat passenger, step out. Go that way. Go that way. >> Yeah, I'm on the ground. >> I got you, man. Just take one step to your right. On the ground. >> Come on, man. God damn, we ain't doing nothing. >> Do me a favor, just don't move, all right? Appreciate you, man. Can you 10-12 this one? Come out here real quick. Step out, you're good. >> What we got, 10-12? >> I got you, man. We're just going to put you in cuffs for a minute, all right? >> Yes, sir. >> Stay right there for me. Turn off this car, thanks. Yeah. All right. Just go back to the front of this car right there. >> Car is clear, free to detain, code four, 10-20. >> Boss, boss, give us 1 second. We'll get it all figured out. Okay. Relax, just relax. >> You know these people are the ones who are supposedly the suspects in the armed robbery. Once all of them are detained, the officer comes to talk to this supposed victim. >> Purse snatched? >> Uh he stole my money out of my hand and in the uh >> M42, 10-4. Uh you've been requested for that fight on Nova. >> Yeah, we got him. >> Oh my Oh, he said he had a gun and he was going to shoot me in my face. >> Okay. >> That's why I backed up. I don't know him. He He took Thank you so much for your >> you when he took the money? >> Yes. >> Did he say that? >> He He said, "You're not getting cuz the the lady in there, she was older, she seen them talking to me. He told me that he wanted He needed help with some money. I said, "Okay, um well, I'll probably have, you know, some change in my purse." And so He was by himself. He was by himself, so when I put my head down to reach in my purse, he was like, "You might as well just give me all of that." I said, "No, what are you doing?" Then six dudes came up like surrounding me. And I was like, "You guys are all together?" And then once the lady said, "Get out of here with that." We walked this way, and then it was two cars and two And so I was like I was like, "You know what? I I really can't believe this." I was like, "You don't know what type of protection I have on me." And he was like, "Oh, uh you better back THE [ __ ] UP BEFORE I SLAP the [ __ ] out of you." And I was like, "Well, I'm already the police and I went to record it and it was He already had a driver waiting in the car. >> Got you. Do you have your ID on you? So, that he asked you initially asked you for money? >> Yes, he asked me to help him with some money. >> Okay. >> He said he needed $100. And I said I don't have 100, but I can give you something of what I have. I just got off work. He was like, you don't have a cash app or a card? I said, no, I'm not going to go that far. By the time I put my head down, he snatched it out of my hand. I was like, where are you going? >> Uh-huh. >> And he was like, oh, don't worry about it. Don't worry about it. And I was like, how are you going to steal money from me? You just asked me to help you with something. And I followed them out of here. >> Okay. What does he look like? >> He's a tall guy has on a white shirt, has on a hat, face is faded, black male. >> Tall black male with a white shirt? >> Yeah, his face is faded. >> I I don't remember the hat, but it's a probably one that has to be out of lids or something. And the guy had hit the the other guy he was with had a had a purse around him, had on shorts and a t-shirt. I think I want to say it was white. >> And what kind of car did they >> It was a black Dodge Charger. >> All right. Will you go do a show up? After doing a show up, the captain brought her back to the store to identify the witness. What about this lady right here? >> No, that's not her. >> All right. This male initially approached her back behind the scanning goes. He asked her for some cash. He asked her for $100. She said, I'm not going to give you $100, but she said she was willing to give him a little bit of money. She said as she was getting ready to reach in her purse to give him money, he reached in her purse, snatched a wad of cash out, and started walking away. >> Were they playing a game, a card game, or something like that? >> He said or I'm sorry, she did say something that he mentioned like like play the game. Like, you got to play the game or something when he walked away. She didn't say she was playing a game. She said he mentioned playing a game. >> Okay. We'll confirm with the video. >> Okay. When you When you say he said something about playing a game, how did he word that? >> Um he was like, "Um I'll give you all your money back if you play a game." >> If you play a game? >> That was my my plan of game. >> Got you. >> And then that's when I started getting loud and the lady that was working there told us to get out of here with all that loud. >> She was the one that was standing there. >> Yeah, I say that like let's go to the store. He stole. >> Okay, cuz it Okay, so you were over here cuz she I just when I just asked her she said she worked down there. >> No, but I work here. >> She was standing there. She was standing there. I got loud and that's when she was like, "Okay, y'all get out of here with all that loud." >> but it was over here? >> Yes, it was right like right there. Like this. >> Yes, I'm working but in my 15-minute break one customer tell me, "Look at this guy. He's playing games." >> Mhm. >> Three times. >> Yeah. >> And I said that she no, go go. >> Yeah. >> Like I say I got let's go to the store right now. And then three people only one playing the other two wait for him and >> Yeah. Okay. >> Only say let's go to the store right now. >> Okay, did you actually see him take anything? >> No. And he got it a lot of uh money in a half bills in a half in the hands. >> What? >> And I got to catch him taking out the money on him. >> How does she How does she get her money back? >> Um >> other guy >> Well, yeah, it just I mean it depends. It I mean if how much was it? >> $400. Jesus. >> I told her money she didn't have it. >> That's all I had. So you know what I'm saying? >> Was What kind of bills were were they in? >> $400 bills and the rest were $20 bills. >> Okay. >> I know he has hundreds on him cuz when By the time he I said I'm going to call the police >> There's definitely something wrong about this case and the manager who watched the security footage will bring everything to light. >> playing the game >> Mhm. >> call the police And I guess >> Was it the one >> So, they'll have some in the hand and they'll let them keep them for like three dollars a game. So, basically it's a game that they play with cards. So, they shuffle the cards around, whatever in the hand and they play the game. >> He's playing that Walmart? >> Yeah. Well, the lady told her that he was out here playing the game. The guy was right in the Walmart. She followed her behind. So, she kept playing. She kept winning and all of a sudden she lost. >> So, he told me to write down specifically detailed what happened. >> Yeah. So, just tell me the story how this came up and just tell me everything. He told me exactly where you were at in the store and get ready to >> Okay. So, I was standing right where it says the Well, like the self-checkout. Next to the batteries. I was checking my emails cuz I initially walked in to make sure I had enough money on my card. So, I picked up some tangerines, went to the self-checkout, made sure there was money on my card and then I pulled over to the side and started checking my emails. He approached me from the front actually cuz my head was down. He was like, "Yo, what's up?" I was like, "That's not like I'm kind of busy right now." He was like, "I kind of need help." And I was like, "Well, what do you need help with?" And then he was like, "On a trip." I was like, "What trip?" And he was like, "To get back home." I was like, "Where are you from?" He never told me where they were where he was from. So, then I'm like, "Right." So, I was like, "Okay." He was like I was like, "Well, what do you need?" And then he was like, "A hundred dollars." And I was like, I was like, "I don't know. I I can probably give you something." I was like, "I can give you something towards it or whatever." So, then I pulled out I pulled out some money but I'm trying to grab the fifth because this is how this is how I had the money in the hand. So, as I'm trying to You know, I'm trying to keep it in my purse without showing him how much I had and he ended up snatching >> Oh, a second ago we're worried about having money for groceries and we're stopping to check email balances yet moments later we have cash in her purse now and are willing to hand a complete stranger 50 bucks. You smell that BS? >> What then? He was like, "If play a game, I'll give you all your money back. I was like, "I'm not playing no game." And then that's what I said back. That's when three guys came up behind me and was like, "Um play the game, shawty. Play the game." But I was like, "No, I'm not playing no game." And he was like, "You play the game, I'll give you more than what I took from you." I said, "No, I don't want I said I don't want no piece." "I'll give you $2,000." I said, "I don't want $2,000. Can you just give me my $600?" So the guy um that had the uh the uh the black t-shirt on with the dress, he was like, "Um he was like, "We got it. We got it. Just play the game. We'll give you back whatever. You don't want more? Why you want less? You don't want more?" I was like, "No, I I just got off work. I came here to pick up stuff, finish up stuff cuz I'm about to go home and cook." I was like, "Can you just please give me back my money?" He was like, "No, you're not getting So that's when the lady was like, um "Y'all go ahead all out here." I said, "No." I said, "Give me back my money." Like I'm not playing. He was like He was like, "Show out if you want to and I'll break your face." And I was like, "You're not going to do nothing." He took his belt. I promised you I'll show you. He was like, "Come on. I'mma show you." I was like, "No, I promised you or not." So he was like, "All right, bet." So he pulled up his pants and then him and the other three guys all started walking down here. So I started following them. He was like, "You want to follow me? You want to follow me? I'mma I'mma show you how to And I was like, "You guys are all together?" And then once the lady said, "Get out of here with that." We walked this way and then I was like, "Yeah, I'm going to follow y'all. I'm going to record you and I'm going to call the police and you're going to give me back my money." We got outside to that end down area. And then that's We walked all the way outside. Yeah, we walked towards there. Cuz she told us to get out the way. But but his was already parked on this end. That's why he walked back. So when I walked outside, um there was this lady in a in a gold car and she was like uh she seen us having a conversation and she was like, "Don't do her like that. You already did it. Just give her her money." Give her her money. So I was like, "What are you talking about?" And then she He was like, "I'm She's not getting it. She's not getting it. She keep walking. I'mma follow her. I'mma put a punch in her face." I was like, "You're not going to do nothing to me. You don't even know what conversation I have. You don't know who I am. You don't know who who child you're you're messing with. So, he was like, "Bet." And then when he did like he stood tall, put up his hands, and went like that with his hand, that's when I backed up. And I pulled out my phone, and I was like, I'm calling the cops. And then I followed him all the way to the car. He was like, "If you keep following me to my car, I'm going to shoot you in your face." I was like, "Well, we're going to see who gets to the gun first." And that's when the You know what I'm saying? He started talking all crazy, and they all started trying to surround me again, and that's when I backed off and started running towards my car. >> So, at at any time while you were standing over there, did you play the game with them at all? >> So, he told me when he >> Since the next few minutes are lying her ass off, we're going to skip some of it. Since cops have already confirmed from security camera footage that she was gambling, not getting robbed. >> He didn't approach me to play a game. He's never approached me to play a game. But first approach was to go to a church. >> Okay. So, we watched the video, and you're playing with him and handing him money, and you're playing a three-card game, which is illegal in Las Vegas, you guys. You can't gamble. That's gambling. >> Okay. >> So, he's he's willing The other two guys were in it with him. They all know each other. Okay? So, they were trying to play you, and that's what they do. So, he's willing to give you the $600 back if you want to go to the Dollar Tree where you where you do that, and get the money back. >> Coordinate with the officer there. >> There's no charges to press is what we're saying. There's no actual robbery. Played a game with him and exchanged money. >> Three-card monte, m o n t y. It's a city ordinance violation form. >> Is she serious? The guy offered to give her money back if she went to the Dollar Tree, and she still tried throwing the other guys under the bus saying they were real violent. She couldn't just be grateful she was getting her money back after being an idiot. >> And he said the guy took the money out of her purse. >> Video evidence show him taking money out of her purse? >> No. They were saying I guess she handed him They made her >> Did she hand the money to him? >> Yeah. Yeah, she handed the money to him. >> Well, we're going to charge her for false imprisonment and false police report. >> Okay. >> And we're going to arrest him for gambling. Where is she at now? >> She's right behind me. >> She's got to be charged. >> Yeah, she's here. >> She's back here. >> Misuse of 911. I mean, she could have caused And we're going code. We had a air one up, we would have authorized a pursuit. So, she's going to go for filing a false police report. Go tell San Antonio to shoot this guy out for um gambling. >> Okay. >> Charge her for misuse of 911. >> With that being done, the cops go to put her under arrest and she's going to continue to argue with them. Do me a favor and bring her back. So, you're going to be gone for misuse of 911. >> The what? >> 911. >> Misuse of 911? >> Correct. >> What? >> Of what? >> You can't be serious right Do I at least get my money back from the guy? >> Yeah, we'll get your money back. >> What's going on? My problem is that he said I'm going to jail for misuse of 911. >> Copy. Get the transport. >> You can't be serious right now. >> Absolutely serious. We watched the video of what happened. Completely different and your phone called triggered a response where we got certain resources up and we're responding a certain way that puts people in danger, puts us in danger, puts >> There's a video showing you giving him >> Yeah, I gave him $100. I gave him that. Once he seen I had more, he said, "Do I have change?" And he snatched the rest of the money out of my hand. >> But, can I just explain something to you? You initially told me, right, when I talked to you in the parking lot that he asked you for $100. >> Yes. >> You said that you said no, but you were willing to give him some money. So you reached in your purse you said at that point you reached in your purse and snatched a wad of $600 out of your purse. That's what you told me. You said 400 and 600 okay the video does not show him anybody ever reaching in your purse and taking money. >> He gets that to me. >> video shows an exchange of money between you and him. >> what I gave him. >> Okay, the video shows an exchange of money between you and him inside the Walmart and then after you walk outside of the Walmart. >> So y'all was >> we're responding what you initially told me we're responding to a strong-arm robbery. It's a felony. It's a big deal. >> Sir, he did say he had a gun and he was going to do whatever it was to me. He did say tell me I mean >> You initially said he didn't say anything about a gun. >> I didn't tell you anything about a gun. >> You told me that he said >> He was going to blow my [ __ ] face off. >> He said I'll break your you better back the [ __ ] up or I'll break your [ __ ] face. >> he That's This is what he said. >> Give it You didn't tell me anything about him threatening with a firearm. >> Oh, sir he did threaten me with a firearm. >> All right, you're going to walk over to my car. >> Is there anything I can >> L.T. However, I just went to two and asked for any history with her because he said she said that eight months happened yeah before and then 2024 she there she was assessed a victim from somebody named Jordan. >> So basically she said she's only been with him for eight months. >> She said what? >> Like eight months and he lives somewhere else in China but he wouldn't say where. >> Yeah, I got his the state lives in town in Robin Lane. >> Okay. >> But Yeah, let's look up uh Let's look it up in links and see uh We'll look her up in links and then we should be able to find out who he is. >> She said she's never called the cops with this guy before. That's what she told me and she said he's beat her up worse. Like she's like this is nothing compared to what happened to me so I never called. >> She's pulling the [ __ ] so I need you to go be with [ __ ] sergeant and stuff. Like I'm a sergeant and I need information. She don't want to cooperate. >> She's clearly upset. She's bleeding from her arm. She had dirt on her so I was like so were you outside and it kind of got her to say like where it happened in the yard. So it's you know it didn't happen in the house. >> she left and she was walking around walking on whatever this street is. >> She probably opened the garage and walked out. >> After further investigation the cops determined that this woman had made a false report and placed her under arrest. >> Well, I shut all this down. We're going to start right in the front. Just go ahead and widen your stance. >> All right. >> Do you have anything on that old stab sticker or coke? >> We just want to ask the questions. >> All right. Just we got to follow our uh >> As for her boyfriend about an hour later the cops had found him and were able to get his side of the story. >> Hey, what's up? How are you doing, bro? >> Good. >> Okay, so um >> I remember you when you were Oh, small little guy. I got you. >> No, I got you. Um okay, so basically I'm I know you talked to my sergeant a little bit. Um we're just trying to get anytime there's like a report of domestic >> Yeah, domestic. >> stuff going on, we have to talk to both sides because there's always two stories and we kind of have to give you the benefit of the doubt. Just like we give her the benefit of the doubt, all that kind of stuff. Um >> Well, she got >> Can you tell me like what what was going on or >> So, me and her, we went and ate at a half shell raw bar. You You can check the cameras over there. >> Okay. >> We went to Tipsy Rooster and um she just decided to take my truck and I was like, "What? Why? Why did you take my truck?" I was like I was like, "So, you're just leaving me?" >> Okay. >> So, then we got in a like a little argument, but like >> So, she took your truck and left? >> Yeah. >> With with you She left you there? >> Yeah, she left me there. >> Okay, and then where did she go? >> And then you can see even my Uber eats. Like I even went to Uber from there to uh >> So, she took your truck, went back to her place? >> No, she No, she just took my truck and she left me. >> Okay. >> And then and and that's why I was kind of mad. I was like, "Hey, look, you know what? We could talk about it." >> Right. >> You know. >> Of course, yeah. How did you guys end up back at her place? >> Well, I went to her place to get some of my stuff because me and her were were boyfriend and girlfriend. I was about to say you can see it on Facebook right here. >> Okay. When you were there, she came home? >> No, she came home Yeah, she came home and she gave me back my key and she threw back my key and then she was walking up the stairs and she tumbled down. >> Okay. >> And I was like and I was like, "Look, you're going to call the cops and you're going to put that on me >> Okay. >> be She >> Did she stumble on like the bushes? >> No, she stumbled over over her sidewalk and then I went back and picked her up and I'm >> You picked her up from where? Was she in the bushes? Was she on the sidewalk? >> No, she she she was on her sidewalk and I picked her up and I was like, "Hey baby, hey look, >> Okay. >> relax. I I I love you and and I don't want this to happen." >> Okay, so she wasn't like in the dirt or in the bushes or anything like that? >> No. >> Okay, cuz she her knees were all full of like dirt. >> Well, well, that's cuz of her tumbling down and she tumbled all the way down. She was so [ __ ] up. >> Okay. But I it seems like she was in the bushes is what I'm saying. >> Yeah. >> was it looked like she had fallen in the bushes and in the dirt. So, you're saying she didn't fall in the bushes? >> No, she didn't at at all. No. >> Okay. >> You're walking down the steps, she's walking in front of you or behind you? >> she just still complaining at me and I'm walking down the stairs grabbing all my stuff and she's just like >> But she's like this going down the stairs? >> Yeah, she's just like that and and I'm just walking down. I'm like, "Bro, look, I don't want to hear this. I'm I don't got nothing to do with it and that's pretty much why >> What was she nagging you about? >> What is it? >> What was she nagging you about? >> So, she was nagging on me cuz cuz we went out of town literally 4 days ago. Me and her we went to Orlando Studios >> Okay. >> and she got mad at me for hitting up my ex-girl. If you want me to be honest.
