Hey. Hello. How's it going? Quick. Uh, she actually doesn't want to go smoke. She's not going to run. She's already been back as well. Right there. Yes. Yes. Yes. I think she's going to come back. But if you want to go grab her, go ahead. For a minute. I don't think she's going to go anywhere. She's just She has some Thank you, sir. She has like some anxiety and all that stuff. So, uh, the manager We freaked out. She's all freaked out. Well, I No, no. I I told her cuz she's been honest and forthcoming. So, I let her know sometimes you guys don't get as quick as other places. So, or other places don't get as quick as you just did, I should say. Uh, so depending on how they are with me, I let them know that she's she's got some stuff. She's got kids. So, I let her know so she can start mentally preparing so that you guys don't have to deal with all that stuff that just happened. Uh, so basically the short version is uh one day she was working and some associates saw her walk out with stuff that didn't look like it was paid for. Management alerted me. I'm the regional asset protection manager. loss prevention. Um, and I said, "Okay." And then that quickly turned into she's taking cash from all the registers and we're able to identify that. So over the course of 2 months, um, there's multiple incidents. I think about 12 to 15 incidents where she's just open. Um, I have I'm I'm going to put in my case report $,200. I think it's potentially larger than that. I can't prove everything on video. Okay. Um, but she wrote a statement that I have right in here. Um everything said that she's a single mom with two kids two years ago. She left her divorce her husband we co hurricanes you know all that just and her medicine she need money for medicine. So she wrote a two-page statement explaining all that um admitting to activity the time and the amount. Um and I got some video clips for you so I can burn that. I don't know if you guys do. I didn't put it on the flash drive cuz more people are going to the evidence link and stuff like that. So if you guys I'll give you my info if you want to shoot that. I can get it all on there for you. That way you guys don't have to carry anything or go put anything evidence. Uh try to make it as easy as possible for you guys. Absolutely. So, uh that's what I got. Um All right. How you doing here? How you doing? I'm great. I just smoke a cigarette for a second. Okay. Do you want to talk? Um, not like so I'm not okay. I'm not going nowhere. I just need something like you own it, right? I own it. Sorry about that. My regular turn. Oh, there's nothing in my pocket. It's just I just learn sometimes. I just want to be transparent. Should I put it out? I mean, is that too right now? I don't know. I don't understand. Okay. I'm going to probably ask a lot of questions. I've never been in trouble before. The only thing that I had my ex got in trouble for beating me up and I had to order and all that kind of stuff. I got broken tooth all but I didn't get arrested either. All right. Well, let me get all your information. He might ask us though. We have another There's another officer here. You want to ask me? We'll wait for them to collect all their information. We can at least stand in there. Do you have any uh I know you said you don't do you have any like stuff on No, no, no, no. I I was working at a register. So, um I think literally all I need is my glasses to see and then I have my um my purse and my I sweat a lot. Like nothing bad. No sharp. I don't use I just don't like to bring purses. Well, see, I don't like um purses. So, cuz you have to walk all the way to the back and lock it in. So I just put stuff in my pockets like my cigarettes and you know that so I don't have to walk all the way back to come all the way back to the front though but that's how much I had about I had like 15 is again probably a little bit higher with our retention let me um just get this Uh yeah. So so total the store short 4,000 here today, but we know some of that is from outside noise. So roughly it's probably like 21 22, but I'm not I'm not going to add stuff to complicate stuff. So 1,200 I'm good with that. So you have enough evidence for correct. Correct. Do you have any of those videos available right now? I got the best one. The most clear one. So we don't have like Walmart or anything. is the best one. Nope, not this one. This is a good one, too. Let's watch this one. Basically, she'll go to the register and just do like a no sale. So, basically, she's not going to the register. I can type a few buttons, pop the drawer open. That's called a no sale. Okay, speak. I'm nervous. Going to do a stretch. You know the drill. You know the drill. I said at the same time here and hang out the door open about to steal some money. So when I was watching it, I could zoom in a little bit $20. Yep. Okay. So no reason for her to do that. She wasn't making chain. She wasn't doing anything. You can see her put some of her back and then takes some of her. She got some her left hand still and then she goes low and starts. So that's her bag of personal stuff. Okay. And what was it? her in her left hand. Was that count? Correct. And here's another one, too, just to just make sure that we're seeing what we're seeing. So, she's off the clock. She's not on the register. This detail that's not hers. Same situation. Gotcha. It took a while for like the reason I don't have the high amount cuz she was like hers and then she just got, I guess, I don't know, sloppy or distracted or whatever. But she went to get caught, right? Getting comfortable. Yeah. And there's there's stuff from the store level that I'm dealing with internally, obviously. But um yeah, so again, nervous. Look around. Where is this? Where's the manager? Cuz we only got one manager at night. It's typically at night. This is 8:00. It's actually 9:00 at night. She's doing her inhaler. That's why she went out. I'm not in there. Watch this. Yeah. So, she pulls it from 10. Okay. So, she's pulling from 100 at that point. Okay. I just It looked like it was a very far. So, that last one is just a little bit. But yeah, so that's the and that's where she mostly just think 20s. Yeah, that's what she says. I think there was a 50 and 100 in there, but she said it was mainly 20s. Um, she said she never did more than $100 a day. The most she did a day was 100. Um, there's one day where there was a higher charge than that, but I'm not going to fight about it. You know what I mean? Um, just because I can't see clearly, you know what I mean? I can't differentiate. So that exactly. So these ones, they were like short 80 and you can see there's clearly more than one bill there. like those ones I'm going to go with. Yeah. So, um what was the time frame? September. September. September. So, September till now. Most recent was last week. I didn't watch the last three shows. She actually took some time off. Um so, you have a date in September. Yeah. I mean, um and like I said, yeah, started. So, she was also stealing merchandise, but I'm not cuz it's all Yeah. It's like some stuff is tough to identify with the cameras and then some I'm not adding a I don't care. I care about the money, the rest of the stuff. We'll figure it out. And that's kind of, you know, give a little bit there to get out. What we want to do first is get on channel 2, her deal numbers and calls, have them for wants, and then fire, right? Cuz my whole thing would also be her fire history. If she's got fire history for stuff like this, I'm probably going to be less lenient on the first discussion. Even right now, it's still felony. We don't really have much of an option. It would be based on our calculation, but if she so and she's probably know every penny cuz she was still so much. But she knew she know she mentions like some trauma and stuff that's in the statement. So I'm not oversharing her butt surface. She's going through so she she's like I don't really get associated with that type of conversation. Oh yeah. That's what she's not going to Yeah. And also there's a portion of minimization, right? Trying to minimize half of what I obviously I'll be right here. All right. Appreciate it. All right. So, before I ask you any questions, I'm just going to read you this. So, you have the right to anything you say can and will be used against you in the court of law. You have the right to talk to a lawyer. You have him or her present with you while uh while you're being questioned. If you cannot afford to hire a lawyer, one will be appointed to represent you. You can decide at any time to exercise these rights and not answer any questions or make any statements. Do you understand each of these rights? Uh I have Yes, sir. Having these rights in mind, you still wish to talk to us. What? Having these rights in mind, you still wish to talk to us? Yes. Okay. I've already said everything. I mean, I might as well say I never something that I like do on a regular basis. This is the first time I've ever done something like this and I owned it, you know. So it was like, you know, I owned it and I didn't lie. Didn't [ __ ] and Yeah, they were very af they they said that you came forward, gave us everything. You gave them everything you did. I'm not going to lie about it, you know. I understand. I don't know either. Okay. So when when did this all like 2 months ago? I think it was like September. Like around that time or like end of September. So about 2 months. That's what him and I figured out when when he can look in the system. It was like two like two months. Okay. And then when was the last time it was um Oh god. you maybe last week sometime like I was explaining to her and I explained to them um I do have um mental health issues and um from childhood trauma and when I would do this I explained to him I can disassociate I take my I can I'm not there but I'm there I can I it's do you know what that word means from my trauma like so when this was happening I was dissociating. It wasn't I wasn't there. So, um exact dates and times and stuff like that. It's not me lying. I can't give it because um I was so ashamed that I had to check out, you know, and I know it was probably last week sometime. I don't know what day. That's fine. I mean, you got a ballpark. That's fine. Whatever. Yeah. Whatever day, one of the days I worked last week. I got Okay. Um, do you know what I mean? Do you know the exact amounts that you were? Um, no. It was never like I told you we had him figured it was never like over 80 bucks. Um, I would take money so I could so I can get food for my kids, especially after the hurricane cuz I had to throw everything away. Um, I don't have um family. Okay. It's me. Just you and your kids? Yes. Okay. And um I was a sinking [ __ ] [ __ ] My medicine. I don't have insurance loans $200. That's just one medication. So on top of the food and all that, I have to take my medicine. I have to take my I cannot not be on it. So when that raised up Yeah. it was just all pilot on me. Okay. Um what um I've always had it because of the hear cops. I was uh members when I was younger and outside in the broad day like no one helped. I was 10. So when I say dissociate that's what I mean. Just completely like almost like an out of body. You have to when you're So that's what I'm I'm not trying to get a soft, you know, I'm not trying to make you feel sorry for me. None of that. I'm just trying to get you to understand what I mean. When I check out me, I'm like, I want to feed my son. I got to get milk. Oh, I got to get this. He has to have stuff cuz they don't have hot lunches at his school. He has to pack his lunches. So, I have to make sure he's got bread, peanut butter, jelly, you know, something for breakfast. And How old are your kids? My son is um 15, but he has um uh when he was younger, uh he had a really bad speech impediment in his brain. Um now he's doing great, but he's still um very like leg around my you know, mama's boy. Okay. But he's come a long way. Like but he he is a little delayed, but he is 15. He's 5'11, 112 Jew, but he's the sweetest kid you'll ever meet. And he does so much for me. And I can't let him down. And I begged him a few months ago. What about your other son? To go live with his dad. And he wouldn't leave me. He's like, I'd live in a car with your mom or on the street with you. He won't leave me. I begged him to go. Sweet. But he won't. My daughter's 18. Your daughter's 18. Yeah, she's still with me. My kids have never been in trouble. They have never drank. They've never done drugs. They've never snuck out of my house. And I did all of those, you know, bad things. And and I'm honest with them. Don't choose the route that I had to take cuz I didn't have a choice. You know, I I'm saying these things to be better. And so when I did this, it was it was an outer body experience. like it just it wasn't like I was doing it to be mean or spiteful to someone. It was just to make sure I can get my medication and to get food. And it wasn't all the time. Like even he said he can see where it was and wasn't, you know, and and I'm can say I'm sorry, but that's not good enough. And I'm not proud of what I did. I could try to pay it back. And I told him, I can't pay back a large amount obviously, but even if I want to do $5, I'll do anything, you know, because I'm not pro. How much overall do you think it? He said it was like $1,000 in 2 months or about he said roughly about a,000. He thinks that's what he the the the um the SC ger guy that was I don't remember his name, but he said that was roughly about what it was. But like my worst fear like cuz I said to him cuz I knew I was going to be honest. I don't lie. My kid I said am I going to get arrested? And he's like no. And I knew but then I said to her if I would have [ __ ] lied and [ __ ] there would it would have been worse. Anyways, my glasses are over there. Sorry. Am I going to jail? Can I call my kid? Why am I going to jail? I'm scared. Can I take these brace? Ah, these bracelets are like jacking it up. You just got to loosen them. Especially that diamond bracelet right on this one. Yeah, this one. Oh, that hurts so bad. Okay, give me a second. Give me a second. Sorry. I don't even know if they number scared. I've never been to jail. Like is it scared? You don't have a criminal history. You won't be in there very long. But I will tell you this. So we're in vice. The more you move around with your wrist, the tighter they get. So I turn this one. That's what I was trying to do. But this turn out. Can I fix this one to turn this way? The hand and go like that. I'm trying. I'm sorry. There you go. I was trying to make Drop the tissue. I'm going to take these off. Okay. He's going to hold you. Try not to wiggle. I'm not going to go anywhere. Take off. separate your legs from my my um cigarettes. My uh my hanky um I I carry hanky chips cuz I sweat a lot. Um so cuz up front it's really hot. Yeah. And Yeah. No, up front when once they built the liquor store, um it it's very hot up there cuz we don't control it. Corporate controls the air up in the front. So there all the women up there have fans. Put your life back together. Kick off your left shoe. Either shoe. Just kick it off. Sorry. Kick off the right one. Those are nice. Are they new? Huh? My daughter got them for me for my birthday. Where's your birthday? I should have just kick your left foot back. Go like that. Okay. Thanks. Do the same thing you did for put it on. You can slide those. Are you able to slide it back on or do you No, I can't. I got to untie. I got to put them back on. Just put them on like your slippers. Or we can carry them for you. Yeah, just carry them. I don't want to [ __ ] ruin them. We'll get them in a second. And I know that sounds stupid, but I don't have nice things. This has got little brushes, you know, for the pipe. And then there's two pipes in here, both glass residue on both. Um, there's a metal pick in here as well. So, that's what's there. I found it to build, not just Okay. Is it going to be meth track or builds track? Uh anyway, uh and she said I forgot what the other she said. I don't know something else. I open this McDonald's. I was like, "Oh, you really can't do that while the manager's over here helping you. cocaine powder cocaine. All right. See that very cool. Look at that. So, and lucky you. I can't believe you stole my double. That's so cool. Training purpose. Training purpose. Okay. So, typically that is not uncommon for this type of call, they would usually have something because if she was truly standing for her kids, this would be an issue, right? And the reason why she was hoping that she would be super cooperative and being able to get like get let go of that. So, um it's already been read. If you want to ask her about what items are in the little black container, ask people not to ask her cuz she's watching us right now. So, um, ask her ask her hey, what are the bills? And then ask her what the white is. She says, get better audio like a tissue or something. I have like snot coming. It's just a little embarrassing talking with snot crawling from my nose. Can you like make sure like you know cuz I I just have neighbors and you know the telephone game they all shop here. I'm standing right here. if there's anybody that's going to be walking out. Thank you. I I mean I don't I shouldn't even ask of anything, but I'm just So, was was there anything within like those glasses cases and stuff like that that we were going to find? Glass cases like the the cases that you had in your uh I should just have the Doney and Burke purse. That's mine. Okay. And I got my glasses, my phone, and the black handkerchief. Cuz I rushed up front to get my stuff. Okay. And then whatever her face was like, get all your don't forget this, don't forget that. So, what's what? Can you show me the sunglasses? I don't know what you're referring to cuz I don't wear sunglasses. There was a black case that has the key on it. Oh, no. My keychain. That Oh, that No, my keychain that we were talking about. Okay. Yeah, that's mine. I didn't understand what you were talking about. Okay. Um, the pills that we found. I have prescriptions for those. Prescription? Yes. Uh, I could pull it up on No, that's not mine. But that's key thing right there. I know exactly what's in there. I wear um well the the eyewear glasses. Where was that at? I pulled it out of the drawer because I don't carry a purse to work. In your apron that you were because when I came back up front real quick to get my medicine cuz I was having a panic attack. They let me come up to go get my medicine cuz I really was. And I just grabbed everything that was in the drawer cuz I don't carry a purse like I told her. I don't like cuz you have to bring it all the way to the back, lock it up, and then walk all the way to the front. Okay. So, what was ever that was in that cuz I like just grab everything in the drawer and then when I went to walk away, someone I don't want to name names like they said not to do that said, "Oh, you forgot this. Oh, you forgot your cup here. This is yours." And I wasn't even listening because once I heard you guys were coming, I checked out. So, okay. I grabbed everything that was in there. The black the black thing. Yes, I know what's in there. And I took it from my ex-boyfriend. Okay. So, what what was in there? What's in there? Yes. The in my my age keychain. Yeah. It's crystal. Okay. He is an alcoholic and doesn't matter. I'm going to get charged with it. It's on me. So, I'm not going to say anything else cuz there's no point. um when I had the order of protection. I have aderal and I have Xanax. I also have my um Venoflaxine. I don't have that on me. I don't like to bring my bottles to work because I don't want anyone to ever take medicine. So, I only bring what I need for that day because I don't you know what I mean? I walk away from like I don't want someone to go in a bottle and take something and then something happens to them. So I always take only what I need for the day. Correct. Only now. What about um Oh no. Um sorry I know her. Um what about my energy? Like I'm really scared about that. They have a facility and they can go without that like but what I'm saying is they have a whole medical facility in the jail. So when you get out there tell them what vacations you have. If they need to send you over to the medical side and they can verify all that stuff like your pharmacy then they'll get you cuz like I can't like not take you specifically. So and then being in there Oh I I'm so Well, we're going to hurry up. You can start on your paperwork. Get you in the hurry and get you out. Yeah. And then you said you bring these to the front when we leave. No, when the transport van gets here, they'll move them up front. Oh, so someone else takes me. I'm trying to sound angry, guys. I've never had this happen. You'll go in a big van. It'll be much more comfortable. And then once we go there, I go to the jail. You go to jail. You go through processing and all that stuff. Okay. And then um I'm so lost. I've never done this. That's right. But the sooner we get started, the sooner you get out of So let's get started on all that. We'll get you out of here as soon as we can. Okay. Yeah. Go that route. I'll let her know like, hey, sooner we get you out there, the sooner you get out. So, I understand. Just take some deep breaths. Remain calm. Try to calm her down. I know. Officer L. Yeah. Hey, so Officer L told me you were making some comments. You want to come up for No, no. Well, I didn't see that. I said that I have I have so I said I have to talk I have to count I have to sing songs that I know really well but I don't have I flail out everywhere the things I'm saying under my breath I'm saying I have to find somewhere safe just myself I don't know what I'm saying I don't care about myself like I'm not saying anything like worse than that but I did say about I I'm scared to [ __ ] to go to somewhere I've never been. So, I'm [ __ ] panicking and I had surgery on my [ __ ] hands to go. My thumb's my thumb is numb and I'm just I just I just wanted to check in on you. I know. I'm like telling myself when I say that you're going to [ __ ] baker. I know how it all works. I ran an agency for the mix of the handicap. I had to bake marching at people all the time. So, I know how it works. I know what to say. You know what I mean? I know what trigger words you guys are looking for. I didn't say I was going to kill myself. It never came out of my mouth. Okay. I just want to make sure. Yes, sir. So, the reason that that I brought that up to him is just because you said the traffic thing and the traffic thing. You said you were thinking about coming in traffic or something along those lines and I tried to bring that up to him. Okay. That's why he's asking questions. Well, I No, what I was pointing to is I don't give a [ __ ] what happens to me now. I don't care. It's done. It's over. That's what I said. And if they want that, yeah, I would say I would go out there cuz I'm scared to go there and and it is what it is. And Holly, the one thing we understand there's a difference between ranting and then someone who actually wants to hurt yourself, you just got to clarify. That's all. Yeah. I I I um talk out loud a lot. I even do it at all my jobs. I We do. Whatever you need to do to keep yourself calm, that's all. Is there any way this right one cuz my whole thumb from here down is completely numb. The van should be here anyway. I've had surgery and this is like so if you want to give us just a few minutes hopefully the van gets your call for but I know you try to take some deep breaths calm down. Am I going to be able to call my daughter before I leave or like how is that you get down there and they'll let you make phone calls? Yeah. What time is it? 660. It's okay. All right. Yeah. Do you have a car here? No. I walk. Okay. Oh, actually transport pulling up right now. So, let us get situated and we'll get you in the van. Okay. Okay. All right. My legs are really short. Oh, sorry. Sorry. Not I am short. Can I pull my hands up real quick? Sorry. Back there. There's nothing. Just pulling my hands up. All right. I'm just saying to go down that far, you know. Pulling up. Heat. Heat. I Heat up here. Heat. Heat.
