on May 10 2022 officers from the Bay
County Sheriff's Office in Florida
respond to an incident involving a
trespassing individual at a local Zoo
the individual is reported to have been
aggressing and attacking customers and
employees while attempting to enter the
zoo without paying when the officers
arrive on the scene employees of the zoo
quickly directs the officers towards the
troubling individual

individual he is seen on camera shoving
a woman witnessing the aggression this
man displays officers immediately moved
to subdue him not hesitating to tase his
side upon

during the struggle the man attempts to
grab the officer's taser and gun he
succeeds in doing so and the female
officer gets entangled in the taser's
wires causing her to be shocked to
prevent further injury and to avoid
having the gun unholstered she
disengages from the scuffle luckily the
officers worked together using their
strength and leverage to control the
individual note that they were careful
to avoid pushing their weight into the
man's diaphragm and lungs while doing so
he's not secure oddly it is listed in
the police reports that the trespasser
has deemed one of the workers at the zoo
to be his wife the employee denied this
claim which continued to send him into a
fit of rage leading to these moments

tone of voice as a de-escalation tactic
they may also ask for an individual's
name to reach Suspects on a more
personal level however this does not
always work and in this case it seems to
have caused the suspect to become more
agitated

once the handcuffs are in place officers
wait for EMTs to arrive so the man can
receive the proper medical assistance he
requires long off my radio my body

it is clear that this man is likely
going through a crisis or having some
sort of a bad trip in an excited
delirium State making medical treatment
especially necessary in this situation
later at the hospital it was discovered
that the suspect was determined to be
using methamphetamines cocaine and
benzodiazepines after the situation
police reports pushed for six charges of
battery including one on an individual
who was 75 years of age two charges of
resisting an officer one charge of
disorderly conduct one charge of
trespassing and one charge of aggravated
assault on an officer however the
charges and sentences that will be
applied will be determined by the court
system and all individuals involved in
this video are presumed innocent until
proven guilty in a court of law
so who all got to watch that
nothing
