on may 7 2022 police responded to a
suspicious activity call at a cemetery
in la crosse wisconsin
a male was seen walking throughout the
cemetery talking about burning something
and threw an object in the bushes
the male was later identified as 32 year
old ronald wright
upon arrival officers made contact with
ronald and he was immediately
argumentative and said they were
harassing him

ronald appeared to be irritated sweating
and acting very nervous he indicated he
was looking for his grandfather's
gravestone

his name and dispatch advised ronald had
an active felony warrant

officers searched his belongings and
discovered a utility knife they learned
ronald was a convicted felon and could
not be concealing a weapon
he was currently out on four bonds two
of which were felony bonds
during the foot pursuit an officer went
over the fence and injured their toe
when landing medical attention was saw

ronald was charged with felony counts of
resisting an officer causing injury bail
jumping and misdemeanor carrying a
concealed knife
