playing this game. Get in the house. Get
into the house now.
I didn't do nothing, man.
Come on. You want to start?
You want to kill me? What did he do to
you? He touched me. Okay. So, he touched
you. You got battery against you. She
pushed Ras. I took her and grabbed her.
I grabbed So, she pushed Rita. So, they
both pushed you. Yeah, cuz they she was
like this and I say, "Hey, get back."
And that's when you get it. He's like,
"Do I have to rescue?" You get him for a
a battery and then resisting. You get
her for obstructing. Resist. Did she
resist? Yeah,
she Okay. Battery. So, you're going to
have two batteries against you.
Resisting and obstructing as well. Who's
the guy in the red? That's the guy that
said on the side of Patel. Okay. He I
saw him get really close and you said he
he pushed you, right? Yeah. Cuz when I
was trying to go for her, I was like,
"All right." And then she went like this
and I said, "Nope, you're not." No. How
about him? Who? Him? Yeah. He got close
to me all the time like this the whole
time. So for So that' be probably So did
he did he do anything to you or No.
Yeah, he touched me when I was trying to
get Oh, so he touched you? Yeah, he
touched me. Okay. Yeah. So perfect.
Perfect. Yeah. So screen that for
battery and everything. That's why as
soon as I as soon as he touched me, I
gave up on her. All right. Is it coming?
Okay.
Hey, it's enough.
We get it. It's all on camera.
everything. We told you to stop and then
you you aggravated it. All right, that's
Hey, there's enough.
I'll be honest with you right now. I try
to deescalate the situation. Like I
said, I'm a fellow police officer. I
work for the state of Illinois. Before
you keep talking, that was an excessive
force. You know what? On your part,
she's pregnant. Okay. She would She
shouldn't have thought what she did. So,
the paramedics are She better police
officer. Everything's on camera. Yes.
For us, too. Body cameras. Okay. Like I
said, I'm just trying to say I tried to
deescalate this. Unless Unless he's
coming out and does it in a civil
manner, we are done talking. Who are you
talking about coming out? The guy who's
the guy in the red who told who told my
partner he was going to slap cuz right
now he's going to be arrested for
assault once we find out who he is. You
know what his name is? You know him. His
last name. Have a good night. I really
want to help. Have a good night. Help.
Take a walk.
If I open the door, you're going to
fight. No, my privacy. I'm This is what
I'm defending. No, I'm not defending
myself. I'm defending myself. Can I Can
you guys please take me to the restroom?
We're going to take it. You're going to
go to the hospital if you got any
issues. You go to restroom. Okay. He
said I put my hands on him. No. Yeah, he
did. It's on video. All right. He pushed
him. I saw you tried to go back in the
hospital. And I said I said I'm sorry if
I touch you anyway. Here's the thing.
That was then. Now we're here. You want
to talk about you want medics? Medics
are on the way. Okay. We're here to take
care of you in that sense, but you got
to realize what you did. I didn't do
anything. Okay. What's your boyfriend's
name? Alonzo. Okay. I'll give you guys
his name. You guys want to press all the
charges you guys want at him? Go ahead.
But can I use the right?
Now, most people probably think when
police respond to a noise complaint,
it's probably simple, right? We respond,
we knock, and we ask the people nicely
to please lower the volume. But I can't
tell you how many times that I showed up
to houses and said, "Hey, your neighbors
called about the music. Please do us a
favor because it's 1:00 a.m." and turn
it down. And out of the hundreds of
houses, maybe about 20 of them were not
a problem. Now, the others had my log
full with their addresses throughout the
night because I had to keep going back.
And for some people in these situations,
their pride gets louder than the music.
And they do have to challenge the cops.
And that's what we saw here. And maybe
it's ego or alcohol, but either way,
some people will not comply because they
feel like they lose if they do. And
honestly, these people thought it was a
game when the cops pulled up, cracking
unfunny jokes and really just being
idiots. But the situation was about to
get real. Now, the officers first gave
the citation warning, but who actually
wants to get that just because of loud
music. And of course, officers do have
to respond to noise complaints, but in
my opinion, it does take away manpower
from more serious calls because of the
disrespect and disregard that some
people have for their neighbors. And
noise complaints can be music, a barking
dog, or an annoying loud engine. And I
have dealt with that one. And this woman
actually mentioning her concealed carry
license came from left field. And it
actually made her look stupid, not
tough. And it might be just me, but it
did look like these people waited years
to act like this with the police because
it did look planned. Now, could a
citation have been given earlier?
Probably. But I don't think that would
have stopped that melee from happening
on that back porch because in my opinion
if the cops left I'm sure they would
have been right back. I'm wrapping this
up and this should be common sense. But
never try to push past or threaten to
slap a cop because that's the easiest
way to catch a case. And it is funny to
me how Mr. Loud tough lawyer who wanted
all the smoke with the officers actually
started crying once he was in cuffs. And
once the crowd faded and all the bravado
melted away, what do we actually learn
from this one? We learn that tough talk
is easy when you're surrounded by family
and friends. But when consequences show
up, people find out real quick who's
built for reality and who's built for
show. And I'm thinking they'll just
lower the volume because it's a lot
cheaper than bail money and way less
embarrassing than crying while getting
arrested. Alonzo was arrested for three
counts of battery to a peace officer and
three counts of resisting a peace
officer. Veronica was arrested for three
counts of battery to a peace officer,
three counts of resisting a peace
officer and battery. They are innocent
unless proven guilty in a court of
