personnel and the suspect identified as
Ivory according to initial reports the
suspect had acted angrily and charged at
a man prompting him to defend himself an
officer then took a statement from the
store manager to verify the

walking by and D calls me and says that
this woman pass to speak to a manager
which like happens a lot you so first of

okay she said I'm not going to have
enough money to pay for this I need to
talk to a manager she's not going to be

hey what can I do for you usually it's

whatever she starts going on this

privileged life and she's been
disadvantaged and then said that she was
asking Target to make reparations for

right she was like you need to put me in
with someone tonight and I was like I
can't there isn't okay like strange yeah
very strange so like she just basically
just kept saying that so I put my hands
up and backed up and she like follows me
she was like like breathing she
screaming at you

called our security person and he came
over and like intervene according to the
manager Ivory had demanded the target

the store manager refused this request
and suggested the customer contact them

customer angry and she began shouting
causing a tense situation in the store
which forced security to interent

she was like pretty much running so she
barreled her way in and then kept coming
into my office and you just hit her and
that's it hit her like right in the face

that attempted a solid
the manager said he tried to close his
office door but Ivory still managed to
get in surveillance footage showed the
manager acting in self-defense causing
Ivory to lose her balance and fall to
the ground he then called 911 and wanted
to press charges for threats so what
caused the issue then here
today we were going to have a big
discussion here and it has to do it Nic

to her manager so we can have a larger

threatened the staff invading personal
space and disturbing public order you
can't do that you can't make people feel
for their safes that's disorderly
conduct he asked me he was gatekeeping
me ma'am you were free to leave at he
said I will call the police and instead
of doing that he ran back here and you
chased him to have that conversation no
there was not any times that my hands
came up to do anything to anybody what I
did I stood my ground if there are
places where the system is broken and
rigged against people anybody here's the
rules need to change okay they're not

the Ohio Revised Code this is what we're
going to do right now in this moment now

scared them and they lashed out so do

in a different manner than how we

it up the chain of command AB they were
gatekeeping me they didn't they told me

bail jumping due to violations of her
GPS restrictions
as the officers approached Nichols
outside the courthouse they observed her
talking to two people when the officers
tried to engage with her Nicholls
refused to stop or comply with their
instructions she insisted that she was
not doing anything wrong and clearly
resisted the officer's efforts to detain
her which escalated the situation no

staff to use physical
restraint this is twice in a row I think
anytime she gets arrested it should be

code with the most serious charge being
assault in the third degree classified
as a class C felony under chapter 9 a.
36031 R assault in the third degree
occurs when a person intentionally
assaults a law enforcement officer while
they are carrying out their official
duties if convicted she could face a
prison sentence of to 5 years and a fine
of up to
$10,000 in addition her resistance to
arrest as outlined in chapter 9 a.
76.4 RI carries further legal
consequences resisting arrest disrupts
law enforcement operations and may
result in additional jail time depending
on the
circumstances furthermore she faces
charges for disorderly conduct under
chapter 9 a
