boyfriend all right is everything okay yeah we're just talking all right got stop pulling off into like dark places at night like this cuz it's a little bit suspicious you know I mean just sitting here like that you sure you're okay all right same issues as last time all right take a step out of the car got white around 11:56 p.m. on June 22nd 2023 patrolman David delori of the Stan up police department responded to a call involving a suspicious vehicle in a parking lot on Brooklyn Road in Stan up NJ he made contact with the driver of a 2020 Jeep pickup truck identified as 21-year-old Shannon he immediately recognized the driver based on his previous interaction with her at a liquor store Sergeant Ryan Hickman arrived on scene shortly afterwards and observed an open container of alcohol in the Jeep so patroman delori proceeded to initiate a DWI investigation passenger seat over put the phone down all right where are they in the passenger seat yeah they're in the Box one all right come here is it the Shan Shannon Shannon all right so what happened no we're just going to fight again okay I want to leave him I don't want to be with him anymore okay um um he just cheating at me okay did you guys get like an argument or something yeah we were at the bowling alley and this girl was there and okay and we just got a huge fight again same thing were you drinking over there no I had one drink you had one drink how old are you I'm 21 okay and we had L one drink and there was a girl over there and I just didn't like that she was there and okay so basically the same issue we had when you were in the liquor store sitting there same thing we're going through that again so for this time you got an open container alcohol sitting right there in The Bard seat so anything obviously something something's going on you know what I mean so just to quill my suspicion to make sure you're okay to drive okay you know the English alphabet right all right I want to recite the couple tests okay just to make sure you're okay to drive all right um You Under the care of a doctor or anything like that oh yeah what are you under the care of a doctor for um um so you're okay have you taken it today yeah okay what uh what medication is it I promise I would not lie about that okay no I'm not saying you are I just got to make sure you're okay to drive okay I had okay yeah here come over here I went to the hospital a couple days ago there's everything's in my backpack everything's in the car all right but I mean you're being honest with me with taking the medications and everything like that yes like all the and then I have um everything like all like under that okay all right listen try to stay calm for me okay cuz I got to put you through a couple tests all right based on his suspicion of impairment poman delori offered Shannon an opportunity to perform voluntary field sobriety exercises the first exercise was the recitation of the alphabet from me tox which Shannon did not perform correctly despite attempting to do so twice the second exercise was the horizontal gaze nagus hgn test the third exercise was the walk and turn test and Shannon failed to properly walk Heel To Toe on the line in the parking lot the final exercise was the oneel leg stand test and Shannon did not raise her foot in the proper fashion while displaying a lack of balance um other than uh see a doctor for anything else uh yeah I went to the hospital like a couple days ago um it's all in my purse everything yes but like have you had any major surgeries anything like that uh yeah so I broke my arm um that's a scar okay all that I had like everything all my tants broke and stuff like that okay anything that would affect your balance or anything like that I don't know okay all right so would you agree to go through a couple of the tests just to make sure you're okay to okay all right so first test I want you to stand with your feet together toes and heels touching keep your arms down at your side okay I want you to stare at the tip of my finger all right see the tip of my finger all right I want you to follow the tip of my finger where your eyes and your eyes is called the oneel leg stand okay put your feet together arms down at your side now with the leg of your choice don't start until I tell you to start though okay just listen to my instructions with vehicle call the open container of alcohol her inability to adequately perform the field sobriety exercises and her admission to consuming alcohol in the hours prior patroman delori placed Shannon under arrest for operating Under the Influence as patroman delori proceeded to search her vehicle Sergeant Hickman questioned Shannon separately about how much alcohol she had consumed Shannon admitted to Sergeant Hickman that in the hours prior she had consumed a few drinks at a bowling alley before operating a motor vehicle after searching her vehicle patrolman delori found one bottle of K's light one kin of white claw heart Seltzer and one kin of Arnold Palmer spiked okay all right Chan do me a favor turn around arrest for driving suspicion of driving intoxicated okay try to make these so they're not you have really tiny wrists so got to make sure they don't tighten up on you all right how old you say you are what are you going need out of your car other than your phone and was released pending her first court appearance in the andova joint Municipal Court after they finished processing her patrolman delori issued Shannon the following summonses operating Under the
