Okay. Oh, still muted. All right. Now, welcome to Perfect Storm Videos. We're watching cop walks into a deadly ambush. Responding to 911 call. Shots fired. Buddy cam. Shots fired. Shots fired over here. Shots fired. I'm here. Shine Fire. >> Where is it? Get out of the way. Get out of the way. >> What's up, guys? Welcome back to the channel. Current police sergeant here. >> Police following her, ramming her car and smashing her windows. She warns dispatch he's armed and getting more aggressive by the minute. >> Copy. Son of L Marshall and Kraton color states that the child's father who they have a whole pee against has a Glock style gun and that he's following the comp tried to drive away but he's outside and just broke the vehicle windows. DC now has an open line. >> Copy. If you could work on a vehicle description and a long number that'd be great. >> 13 on the route to that. Maybe you can go to channel 3 and see if trooper 5 can head this way for this call instead of the call. paper squad. So, you're now going to be playing in blue and pollen with 94 colors every [snorts] on the red 1345 Marshall 147. What's happening there? First on the marshall creaton the vehicle is going to be a marshallist and now it sounds like he's going to be raming a car marshall and creaton. >> So domestic violence related calls are inherently dangerous for police officers to be responding to and in this case they have an active uh protection order against him from the female which he's clearly violating. >> Your incident has been updated. >> Yep. I'm out here. On the ground. ON THE GROUND. ON THE GROUND. >> Oh >> Shots fired. SHOTS FIRED UP HERE. SHOTS FIRED. I'm here. >> Got his window fried, dude. >> Scary. Where is he? Get out of the way. [screaming] Get out of the way. >> Get down. >> I'm hit. Send me medics. I'm not >> Is he down? >> That is not us. >> Ladies, GET OUT OF THE WAY. >> GET OUT OF THE WAY. >> GOD, >> what is that lady doing? >> Intense. >> What the is she doing? >> I'm trying to go to my apartment. >> What is going on? He almost ran into me. I have never seen something like that. >> Yeah. Um I'm not even firm. I just moved here. >> Move. Move. Get the out of the WAY SO I CAN GET HELP. GET OUT OF THE WAY. >> I Let me help him. Let me help him. >> It never fails when something like this happens. People want to try and intervene. Help the cops. Like you're not helping anybody. If you're ever in a situation like this or witness something like this, best advice, stay out of the way. Do not try to get involved. And for this cop, I mean, that escalated from a zero to 100 at the freaking drop of a hat. He did a great job. He got cover, returned fire, and it looks 38. I got the gun out. JUST GET UP HERE. >> Officer shot. Officer shot. >> Back up. BACK UP. BACK UP. [screaming] Back up. Back up. Back up. He's dead. He's dead. >> He probably is. >> 138. NEXT SQUAD that pulls up, you're taking me to regions. >> This is his gun. >> What the secure it? >> All right. So, whoever this cop is that's been shot, clearly he's uh getting agitated with these officers that are responding. I I don't blame him. Like the the one guy shows up first and he done and talk. Where's your turn? There you hit the leg. >> All right. Put on my wife on me here. Go on the curb. >> Yeah, they need to get out of the scene. >> Get them on the curb. Get them on the curb. [laughter] >> Take a breath. Take a seat. No. >> I'm assuming she's the victim. >> I'm heading to the scene. Take the hospital. See if any troopers can help the traffic. >> That partner driving actually >> great job. He was like calming him down. Good. You got it. >> Come on. >> Come on. Don't you know we're from Minnesota? Can we dip it out? Tape. >> I don't have tape. Someone else. >> We got a pulse. >> We have a pulse. >> All right. Where's he at? Where's he shot at? >> Hit a hit. Okay. >> In the head. >> Oh, good. >> Suspect has a pulse. >> Oh my god. [crying] >> Come over here. >> Oh my god. >> Who's the one that called? >> I did. I've seen it all. >> Let's come back here. Did you witness this? >> Okay. I need you to stay here. Okay. Watch him shoot at the cop. I seen it. I think that's her boyfriend. >> No other suspects outstanding. There's some witnesses out there. I fired about four rounds in an easterly direction. I'm going to go to channel two for my medical aid >> real quick. So, what you heard right there is the officer is telling the dispatch or whoever he's communicating with on the radio how many rounds he fired and what direction. That's imperative if you're involved in an officer involved shooting to be able to get that information out. Uh simply because if you, you know, don't hit the target you're attempting to strike, you got to know where those rounds went and make sure that nobody else was injured. So, that is something that we provide as officers if you are in an officer involved shooting. Number of rounds fired, what direction, you know, are there any suspects outstanding? Uh those types of things. >> Gun is given to someone else to secure. >> Who's hurt? Cheetah's on the way to the hospital. >> Sorry guys, I'm kind of tired. I don't feel the best today. >> Cheetah's on his way to regions. Jonah, take a deep breath. Zip him over. >> One gunshot wound to the head. Yep. >> I don't even understand why people be criminals nowadays >> by daylight. But why? >> Everyone has a phone. Everyone has a camera. There's cameras everywhere. There's no reason to um there's no reason to do crime, right? You're going to get caught. >> And if you fight back, you're going to get shot. And >> it's just that I don't I don't get it. >> Sorry, Storm. Hope you feel better. >> Batman or they could tie you up or you could, you know, and not >> hope you get to feeling better. live in that world anymore. >> I don't think we ever did. >> Three on channel 23. Go ahead. >> I'm the officer that's hit eastbound on 94 from Lexington. Shot in the leg. >> Squad ahead of us. Plow. >> Squad ahead of us. Just keep going. Keep plowing away. >> Block that up. You want to GRAB THE TAPE? TAPE IT UP. >> Tape that off. Block this. Block this. >> Block it. One block north, one block south. >> Are you feeling clear? >> 135. You may want a lot of squads here now. It's getting cluttered. So maybe call 13. >> Hi mama. GTS weapon. Cop. Let's get him on. Anybody else? Anybody else hurt on here? >> I'm on scene. I'll take command here. We got one suspect that's down in custody. Main medics to come up. It's code four for medics and we'll start securing this scene up here 38. >> Are we looking for a suspect that the gun? >> Hey Cathy. >> No, he's a guy with a gunshot to the head in the road. Hand those handcuffs. Set him right there. Go straight. Let's go straight. Go straight. >> We don't need any more officers coming here right here. >> God, there's nothing more annoying. >> Get out of the way. >> Marshall to the east. Start getting that traffic around. We don't need to crawl. >> Careful. Careful. Get to your left. Okay. North street one. 61. I believe if I understood correctly that there was somebody else with him that the gun was handed off to. Is that correct? And that person is outstanding. >> Now there's confusion of where are the guns at. >> We got the gun here. out. >> Where's the information that he handed his gun to somebody else? >> Uh, he gave it to >> Who's got the gun? >> It's on the trunk. It's been unloaded. [screaming] >> Medic in. >> Medics just showed up. Officer CPR. >> So, you can see how quickly things kind of gain uh or go out of control a little bit. There's a ton of confusion going on about a ton of Do you have 15 point? >> Thank you. We need somebody on scene to start a log and they need that person identified that has that information to a log. >> His officers arrive at Region's Hospital with the wounded officer. They bring him inside roughly 9 minutes after the shooting. Meanwhile, back at the crime scene, medics continue performing CPR on the suspect before transporting him to the hospital. As the scene stabilizes, officers begin clearing the area and separating witnesses for interviews, including the suspect's ex-girlfriend, the woman who made the original 911 call. Investigators want to hear her full account of what led up to the confrontation. >> My name is Jordan Bank. I'm with the Ministry of Criminal Apprehensions. >> This is my father. [laughter] >> When am I going to tell my son? >> I'm not sorry, son of a kid. We don't know his condition yet. >> He was gone. I picked him up. He wouldn't respond to me and then they put him in cuffs. He wasn't posing a threat at all. >> You shot at him. >> Start that. >> He wasn't posing a threat. Then you you cuffed him and you were doing CPR when his hands are behind his back. He needed help. Can you run me through what happened out there, K? Because I I don't know. I wasn't there. So, I'm trying to figure out what am I going to tell my baby. >> So, we were in the car. We're coming to St. Paul. See my baby daddy cuts us off. I turn the corner. He starts following. I call the cops. He jumped out, took off running cuz he didn't want to get shot. It would happen so fast. I don't know. I've been I really have been like derailed by the police >> for so long and then when I finally come, [clears throat] they shoot him in his face. My son going to be forever crushed. >> So how long? >> That's not good. >> You and Brandon together. >> Seven years. So, you picked up at which time >> we got off on the highway and I noticed I said there's my baby dad. I tried to go around him and he's trying to box me in and he said that's why I can't see my son. So, he's yelling and screaming this. >> And then I was able to go around his vehicle and take a right on Vanelia. Then he blocked me in again. And that's when got out and started running. And I got to where I couldn't go anymore. And he jumped out. He smashed my window, which is fine. I would I I I don't care about no windows. I don't care about none of that. That shit's replaceable. My kid's dad isn't. He's not coming back. >> The suspect, 24year-old Brandon Keys, was pronounced dead the next morning from a gunshot wound to the head. Officer Michael Cheetah was treated at Region's Hospital for a gunshot wound to the leg and released [music] later that night. He was placed on standard administrative leave while the Minnesota BCA investigated the shooting, ultimately determining that the use of force was legally justified. This wasn't [music] Cheetah's first brush with death. In 2015, a suspect held a gun to his head inside a Walmart. Cheetah slapped the weapon away and survived. 8 years later, he was shot and once again walked away. >> All right. Like I mentioned in the beginning of this video, domestic violence type calls are one of the most dangerous calls that we as law enforcement can respond to. People's emotions are very elevated. And in this case, it looks like the ex was a jealous over her possibly seeing another man and not being able to see his kid. And it's hard to fathom that she did call 911. He was boxing her in. He was armed with a gun. He smashed out her window. She was >> I think it's time for that officer to retire against him. But two, obviously call the cops when he's behaving like this against her. The officer shows up and the guy immediately starts firing at the cops. the cop returned fire and ultimately wins that gunfight. She clearly is upset about that. I can understand and sympathize that they have a son together. Now that kid doesn't have a father, but it is hard to rationalize that what she's saying was basically like she's had a hard bringing up with cops her whole life and you know the one time she does call police, they show up and do what they did. Well, that's not the cop's problem. That was her ex-baby daddy's problem. He initiated that whole thing. the cop was defending himself. So, I want to say I thought the cop that responded did a great job. All the officers that responded did well. Um, they really locked down that scene and then the officer that drove the shot officer to the hospital did a great job calming him down >> and the whole thing, those are just super chaotic situations to be involved in. I've personally been involved in those several times >> and there's nothing easy about it. So, if you guys would like to jump over to our other YouTube channel for more long- form podcast content, head over to Shots Fired. >> What's that? Um, see, let us see. Louis Manion's arrest. [sighs] Shit's probably long. It's not that long. What's this one? That's fine. >> Uh, don't yawn. >> Little end of the weather. >> What's the matter with you? Don't you know it's contagious? I'm >> probably just going to watch like one more after this short one. Romeo 6807 521 0 07982 should come back to Mark Ros. Sit down. Sit down. You want to talk for a second? Yeah. He got sentenced to uh federal and state stocking resulting in the death of the United Healthcare CEO Brian Thompson. That's I don't know how long he got though. Let's see. Um he got Oh, he hasn't been sentenced yet. He entered an open plea without a formal plea agreement. His exact prison terms remain undecided until his formal fed federal sentence hearing on December 18th, 2026. Yeah, probably [music] [music] watching your man. The chilling new video never seen before now showing the crucial moments after Luigi Manion allegedly shot and killed that healthcare CEO Brian Thompson outside a New York City hotel. We have all seen the surveillance video showing the gunman sneaking up behind the victim opening fire. But tonight, for the first time, we see what happens afterward. The witness on the street, a woman with her coffee, a man from the hotel, and several minutes go by before anyone tends to that CEO who had just been shot lying on the sidewalk. Here's our chief investigator. >> Oh no, not the poor CEO. >> Correspondent Aaron Kurski leading us off. Tonight, we're seeing newly released video of the chilling moments after Luigi Manion allegedly shot and killed. >> Look at that gun, dude. That was crazy. Wanted to see that plastic gun. Look at that. It's so blurry. Look at that thing. Looks nuts. The helling moments after Luigi Manion allegedly shot and killed United Healthcare CEO Brian Thompson outside a New York City hotel. You can see the shooter walk toward the victim, appearing to briefly glance down as he lay dying on the sidewalk before turning to cross the street, then starting to run, disappearing down an alley. This woman holding her coffee seems to hear the first shot. She flinches as Thompson stumbles, then seems to look straight at the gunman, still taking aim before she runs off. Seconds later, a man in the hotel steps outside, looks toward Thompson, crumpled on the ground, and starts pointing in the suspect's direction. But it would be three minutes before police arrive and tend to the CEO. Another eight minutes until an ambulance pulls up. >> They're looking for a male about 5' 10 inches in height. Cream colored jackets, black mask, black gloves. >> As police launched a manhunt across the city, they allege Manion escaped on a bike. >> These block cameras, dude. Track that bike. >> Pumped a backpack in Central Park, Ben hailed a taxi before he hopped a bus. >> Dude, how'd they find him? This is like the craziest getaway ever. a bike to a train to a taxi, dude. wild. >> Out of town. >> That never before seen video, a window into those moments when Thompson, a father of two, lay dying in the street before police could arrive. Manion's attorneys have been trying this week to get critical evidence against him thrown out from the case. That effort will >> Ain't no way a McDonald's play called it in, bro. >> Continue next week. True. >> Eric Kurski leading us off on a Friday. I think Luigi Mangalon just ordered egg sausage muffin. Thank you. [laughter] >> Luigi in my uniform. >> Oh, hi Mark. Um E or >> I can't read this right. So spell your last name. M A N M A N G E I O N O N E Yeah. Yeah. You said A. You can't do cold blood. Yeah, but I mean Heat. [music] Heat. [music] Sorry. >> Well, I mean, this video just came out like two days ago. Anyways, this happened a long time ago, but it just came out like a couple days ago. Uh, Luigi Mangelini did not believe Brian Thompson did anything to him personally. Investigation and court records confirmed that Manion was never actually insured by United Healthcare and he had no personal claims denied by the company and said Manion targeted Thompson purely as a symbolic figurehead of what he viewed as a corrupt and greedy health insurance industry [snorts] dealing with the corpos, bro. picture. Okay. What money There's so many places. But I can't believe there's still like people eat at the restaurant and go to the bathroom. Old man's like, I really got to pee. I'm trying to finish my food. ON FEBRUARY 20TH, 2025, Chicago police respond to reports of an armed robbery [music] involving three suspects who allegedly fled the scene in a stolen Dodge Charger. >> As officers [music] across the city begin searching for the vehicle, a police helicopter tracks it from above while Illinois State Police [music] take over the pursuit. epic hero music. The chase eventually [music] crosses paths with two Chicago officers conducting an unrelated traffic stop on the city's west side. But as the pursuit moves through snow covered streets, the situation quickly [music] becomes more dangerous, setting off a chain of events that will eventually come under investigation. >> For units of Nate in the citywide did a robbery just occurred 59 in Francisco. [laughter] >> What began as an armed robbery investigation quickly expanded into a multi- agency pursuit. With police receiving reports that the suspects were armed, officers had a significant public safety reason to apprehend them. But once the Charger began fleeing at high speed, officers also had to weigh that need against the danger created by continuing the chase. Surveillance footage provides a wider view of what happened just before the pursuit came to an end. Officers Andrew Edgar and Joseline Baha were conducting an unrelated traffic stop when the wanted Dodge Charger passed their position with Illinois State Police already in pursuit. The officers left that stop and began following behind. >> Edgar and Bahenna later said they followed state police for only a couple of blocks before deciding not to participate in the pursuit. >> Chicago police policy requires officers to balance the need for immediate apprehension against the danger a pursuit creates for officers and the public. In this case, police were searching for three suspects accused of committing an armed robbery with handguns before escaping in a stolen Dodge Charger. A police helicopter tracked the vehicle while Illinois State Police continued the pursuit. The Charger eventually enters this vacant gas station where multiple police vehicles attempt to contain it, but the snow covered pavement complicates the encounter with both the Charger and responding police vehicles sliding as officers attempt to close off its escape. >> An officer even approached the Charger on foot, but the driver manages to maneuver through an open road escape on the sidewalk. >> In Scott versus Harris, the Supreme Court recognized the substantial danger a fleeing vehicle can create for innocent motorists and pedestrians. Moments later, the Charger attempts to return to the roadway, spins across Cicero Avenue, and crashes into a fence. But the pursuit isn't finished. All three occupants immediately abandon the Charger and take off running, turning the vehicle pursuit into a foot chase. >> Shit's about to blow, bro. >> Guys, we got one side running northbound. Hey, get the gun. Get the gun. I GOT IT. ALL RIGHT, WE GOT HIM. WE GOT HIM. SHOTS FIRED. SHOTS FIRED. SHOTS FIRED. Get down, BRO. GET DOWN, GET DOWN. MY FIREARMS RIGHT HERE. BACK. THAT'S MY LEG. We're at 200 South Cisero. >> You got anything on you? You got anything on you? >> Get that mask off, bro. >> Relax. Relax. Relax. You ready? >> No. No. No. Are you hit? Do you see anything? >> Not that I know. >> I got snow. >> I don't know. That was so my ass. >> Pick him up. >> There was like punches being thrown. He like went up and tackled him and punched him in the head and the other guy tased him. was crazy. One guy was shooting at him. This is crazy. >> Good. >> Where's the gun? >> Where's his gun? >> Hey, where'd you go? Beam, where'd you find the beam? Where's the beam? You got a beam in your hand? >> I have no beam. No, sir. >> What do you have in your hand while you're running? >> I have nothing. I have my ski mask. Right. Y somebody on Somebody L said I hit a gun. They did not seen no gun. >> What did you have in your hand when you were running? >> Nothing. I hit my ski mask right there. See I pick that up. I didn't I promise you I had no gun. Nothing. They lied on me. Say I hit a gun. I don't got no gun. >> I seen something in my hand. I seen black. >> You had a something in your hand. Dude, >> a gun. They did not see. >> What did you have in your hand when you were running? >> Nothing. I hit my up. I promise you I ain't had no gun. Nothing. They lied to me. Said I had I don't got no gun. You had a something in your hand, dude. Unsure if it was BPD or Is it clear? Is it clear? Is it clear? this way. Hey, relax. >> The beam. That's my hat. >> I thought he had a beam on the beam. >> Once the suspects fled on foot, officers had probable cause to make an arrest based on the reported armed robbery. But the encounter immediately created another issue. Officer Andrew Edgar pursued with his firearm already drawn. And when he physically tackled the fleeing suspect, that weapon unintentionally discharged. Oh my freaking really Although no one was struck by the gunfire, the discharge itself [music] became a central focus of Copa's investigation. Officer Andrew Edgar told investigators that he saw a black object in the fleeing. >> Another video probably not. I'm tired, dude. Um there I'll probably do it a lot tomorrow though cuz I have like the next two days off so I'll stream a lot like the next two days. >> Suspect's [music] hand and pursued him with his firearm drawn. >> All right. But I don't care. All right, guys. I'll catch you guys later. [sighs and gasps] Bye. Thanks so much. See you later. Short stream today. I'm not feeling the best. Little sick. Catch you guys later.
