He's been hit in the left leg. >> Amidst the action, officer Carvajal picks up Deputy Bradburn's gun instead of his own. >> Uh, when the gurnie showed up, we started to pick him up. I stepped on the gun. Somebody said, "There's guns down here." So, I reached down thinking it was mine. Put it in my holster. Finished putting him on the gurnie. Realized it wasn't mine. Everybody, >> thank you. >> Also in 2022, a deputy secretly recorded Sheriff Henderson because he was pissed that his deputies were having lunch with city police officers. >> Let me ask you, are you going to hang out all time with my enemies? >> All I'm getting from this is you don't want us to eat with Iowa CPD. >> But I don't want my people sitting with my damned enemies. and and and being buddy buddy with my my damn enemies. >> Old Sheriff Kenny's like a jealous girlfriend with an attitude and a gun and no hair. This guy's got some real problems. >> How are you, sir? >> How are you doing? >> Sheriff Henderson came out of his office when Atlanta News First Investigates was recording video in the parking lot. We've got the video of the officer, the Haiwasi officer, you ordering him getting arrested >> at the shooting scene. >> And so we'd like to do an interview with you about that. And I can't do that. And I'll tell you why. Because this is an open investigation. And anything that's done at this point has to be through the GBI. The rumor all over is, "Oh, the sheriff's going to jail next week. Sheriff's this, sheriff's that." It's the relationship between the sheriff's office and city police department. >> Yeah. And as far as I know, we have a good relationship, working relationship that I don't know of any problems. >> I don't know of any problems. >> Well, it's like this sheriff. It's usually the one causing the problems who doesn't realize he is the problem. And that is totally not the face of a functioning alcoholic. Back to the shooting scene. Officer Carvajal gets a taste of his own medicine as he sits in the back of a patrol cruiser for more than 20 minutes in torture cuffs. >> I'd get him on camera and say, "Jose be be his best friend. Turn your camera on and let him make a statement as to what he did. Let him talk all that. It'll help the sheriff on the backside. Let Jose on our camera say, "I picked the gun up." You know, let him admit that he picked the gun up from the crime scene. Yeah, that's the county fire chief participating in a conspiracy to help the sheriff in a future PR stunt. What's going on in this town is worse than a bad episode of General Hospital. So, Officer Carvajal was released and told to leave the scene. >> I clear gun. >> Yeah, you got room. The wounded officer made a full recovery, but he was later fired and arrested by the sheriff's department for giving a false report to the GBI. Turns out Deputy Bradburn lied about everything and shot himself in the leg twice. So, you've got another group of order following cops who continue to work for a psycho cop with one of the cops so deranged that he shoots himself twice in the leg with his own gun. And these are our protectors and servants.
