Man, you've got to see this video right here. This is by Insight Policing. I want to demonstrate to you that even in their training videos, they absolutely do not understand how oppressive and tyrannical they are when they try to extract your right to be secure in your person. Check this out. Again, this is from Insight Policing. This is Officer Delaney who encounters a community member with conflict behavior because he refuses to leave a park and they go through the first scenario and then at the end of the first scenario, the cop goes, "Let's see if we can try that a little bit different to kind of shift things to make it look like the cops are being more compassionate, more kind, more humble, more willing to listen to community members as they might be going through a tough time." Listen to this. >> Excuse me, officer. That guy over there was sleeping in a park. And I I went over there to tell him that he's not allowed to sleep here. Well, I went to take his picture, he tried to take my phone. >> Okay. So, can you trespass him for me? >> Yeah, let me talk to him and see what's going on. >> Okay. Okay, thank you. >> Hey, sir. How you doing, man? >> Hey. Hello. Hello. >> I'm Officer Delaney. I just want you to know that you're being audio and video recorded, okay? Do you have your ID on you? >> Not today. I mean, I left it somewhere. I mean, you know. >> You left it somewhere? >> Yep. >> All right. What do you want, man? I'm taking your picture unless you have your ID. You said you don't have it, right? >> No. >> What's going on today, man? >> I'm just in here reading the paper, you know, just hanging in the park. >> Okay, I see what you're doing, but uh security is saying that you're being disruptive here, man. We're going to need you to leave. >> you just want to announce that you're taking my photo? >> You saw me taking it. I don't have to announce it because you're in public. I don't have to get any uh permissions, anything. >> Wow. >> If you're at home or somewhere else, then maybe so, but in the public I don't need that. All right? >> Okay, so you're not going to read my rights? >> I don't have to do that. We're talking right now. You're not being detained, you're not in custody. I'm trying to walk you out of here. >> Okay. >> Listen, so what happened with the security officer? I understand what you're saying. What happened with security? >> He don't like the Washington Post, I guess. I don't know. >> All right, so they want you to leave, man. So, you're being trespassed at this point. It's time for you to go and grab your stuff and let's go. >> What? Really? Why should I grab my stuff? >> Because I'm asking you to do Right now, I'm asking you to do it. Okay? There you go. Just grab it and let's go. >> Can you give me a second second? >> Listen, man. I'm asking you to leave right now. You're not being arrested right now, but look, these are your options right now. I want you to understand this loud and clear. Either you get grab your bag and go by yourself, okay? Walk off on your own. I'll walk you to the edge of the park. >> Okay. >> Or you'll be arrested for trespassing and for being disorderly now. Okay, what you going to do? >> I was on the rights and you didn't, so I'm just trying to figure out what's going on. >> There's no need to read rights. This is what we're going to do. Come on, step up with me. COME ON. >> OW! OW! OW! OW! >> GET UP. >> What are you doing? >> It's not built for comfort. >> Oh, man. WHAT ARE YOU DOING? OW! >> YEP. It's not built for comfort, bro. There you go. >> Come on, man. This it hurts, man. >> I know. >> Is that how you treat everybody in public? >> What's in this bag right here? >> My stuff, man. Leave it alone, man. Leave it >> You're right. I'M GOING TO LEAVE IT ALONE. We're going to throw it away when I come back out. Let's go ahead and walk. >> public place, you want to [ __ ] arrest me, man. What's wrong with you, man? >> This was your choice. >> Man, this isn't how I wanted this situation to go. Maybe I should have made a better choice here. If only I could do it all over again. I should have noticed that his resistance to leave the park was conflict behavior. I could have verified his decision not to leave and asked the curious question in that situation to get to the why. Let me try that out to see if that works. Now, I want you to know something. When they start the second part where he's going to do better, he doesn't do constitutional because when they pick up the next segment, the next scene to redo the entire thing, it's after he's already taken a picture of this guy to identify him to make himself insecure in his person. They don't even understand the Constitution. They have no clue. They have no knowledge of what the Bill of Rights is and how sacred your right to be secure in your person actually is to the point where in their training video, they see that is that's okay. Hey, never mind the fact that it's during the day, it's in a public park, and you have every right to be here and I've got no right to ask you to leave, even if a security guard told me that you tried to grab his camera when he tried to take a picture of him and make him insecure in his person. So, here's a cop coming along, making this guy insecure in his person, telling him to leave a public park in broad daylight when the guy doesn't even have to leave. >> All right, so they want you to leave, man. So, grab your stuff and let's go ahead and walk out. >> Why should I grab my stuff? >> Because I'm asking you to do Right now, I'm asking you to do it. Okay? There you go. Just grab it and let's go. Can you give me a second, sir? Sir, I can see that you don't want to leave. Be honest, man. What's really keeping you from walking away from here? >> I don't have no place to go. I'm from place to place and I just want to get out. My family's kind of stressing me out. >> It's more like, be honest. Why did you walk up to a fellow American in a public park during the daytime and you you came at me with the implied threat of force. You took a picture of me. Tell me, why did you do that, officer? Well, cuz we got a call. The security officer said he wants you trespassed off the property. I'm just doing what I'm told, regardless of what is right. Let's talk about that, officer. >> I got a little bit. I just I just need to be out here. You know >> It sounds like you just you you're trying to find somewhere to stay that's nice and peaceful >> Yeah. I'm out in the >> open >> I'm trying not to bother nobody and then and then the photo thing was kind of irritating me. I figured >> Okay. >> it's not too much to ask >> Right. >> not to take my photo. That's all. >> I appreciate that. So, what set you off is when the security guard was taking a picture >> he was going to read my rights and he's just taking photos. I just want a peace. I didn't mean to disturb nobody. >> Not just the security guard, officer, but you as well. You also took my photo and I need you to erase it off your phone. If you want to be constitutional, if you want to follow the Bill of Rights, if you want to honor your oath, take my photo, my image off of your phone. >> Sir. Yeah, and look, it sounds like you have a lot going on and you're just out here trying to get some peace and quiet to get your thoughts. >> That's all I'm trying to do. Just just being a public place and just feel nature. >> Well, look, there's a a park a couple of blocks down that the security does not patrol. You don't have to worry about the kids. It's kind of busy sometimes, kids playing basketball, but it's you know, there's areas there that you can sit down and and be by yourself as well. >> Fine. Fine, officer. I'll I'll I'll go to that park. >> All right. I'll walk you down there. My car's down Yeah, that's all right. >> Now, what if he said but I want to stay here, officer. I like this tree. I like this view. I like this grass. I'm very comfortable. >> And I'm not doing anything wrong. Can you articulate a crime that I've committed? Cuz unless I've committed a crime, you have no right to even come up and ask me for anything. I mean, you can ask me all you want to, but you don't have a right to come up and try to ID me and make myself insecure in my person. I mean, didn't you take an oath, officer? >> I mean, I don't know, man. Just disturb people's >> I mean, I know you're going through some things, but that you know what I mean. >> I got my Yeah, man. Took my car, lost my job, just >> Oh, man. I Yeah, I know that's rough, man. >> Thank you for being gentle. I appreciate it, man. Thank you. >> right, man. >> Thank you. I I took my car, I lost my job. Now, why was that? Cuz man, I was driving down the road and this cop lied on me. He said that I was driving under the influence. I did the breath test, blew triple zeros and everything. The toxicology report came back triple zeros. He arrested me anyway. Had this long court long drawn-out court process, took all my money. I couldn't pay my my my mortgage payment, couldn't pay my car, I lost my job because of this stupid DUI. I won't cause any more disturbances or nothing. It's terrible, man. Yeah. >> Yeah. >> I don't like it. >> I know it's rough, man. I Hopefully it get better for you, man. >> so, too. It's called police insight, conflict resolution. Well, how about this? How about stop creating the conflict? How about honoring your oath? How about stop making people insecure in their person? How about just be a decent human being? Leave your thoughts about this. Was I being too harsh on the cop? Do you think they did a good job the second time around? What would you have done different? What do you think about these cops who actually believed that they're the good guys? Leave your thoughts in the comment section below.
