Just when you thought you had seen the dumbest, most petty, timewasting, wouldbe police investigator the world had to offer, the internet came through for you again. >> I'm always at my house. I got some lunch and then I'm heading back to my house. Oh, where's your lunch? >> You have your license plate. Going to get breakfast. It's 12:50 in the afternoon. Except the guy clearly said lunch and the officer asked where he got lunch. >> Got some lunch. >> Where'd you get lunch? >> She came all the way down to Hen to get some breakfast. Was it Door Dashing or something? >> I picked up. >> Oh, you went through the drivethru? >> Yeah. >> Went down. We went through the drivethru. I saw you go down. You came back pretty quick. should be able to get down to the drive-thru that fast. >> I know these investigations can tend to be difficult and mentally taxing officer, but the reason he got his food so fast is because it's called fast food. It's this new concept they came up with for restaurants about 100 years ago. And that's the reason a lot of people go to these restaurants because they don't have a lot of time and have to get their food fast. >> We get down to the drive-thru that fast. >> Yeah. There's no one you want. Got >> Is there anything any kind of narcotics or anything? You said you went down to pick up >> breakfast. Not breakfast. Lunch. >> You said breakfast to eat. >> I'm at my house. I got some lunch and then I'm heading back to my house. I said breakfast. I mean, a burger can be a breakfast. >> What is all this officer harassment going on centering around burger eating? >> I'm eating my burger. Leave me alone. >> Suspicious. >> Eating a burger is suspicious. >> It's 12:59. >> Okay. So, I meant 12. >> Okay. You had two eggs for breakfast, but you said you had low blood sugar, so not eating. >> Takes a long time of not eating to get low blood sugar. >> I don't know. But do you see why? Like it's not >> No, I don't. >> It's just not adding up to me. >> This is a perfect example of the less you say to cops, the better. Because anything you do say could be misapplied, misremembered, misconstrued, or completely fabricated. And who cares if the guy's having lunch or breakfast? What is this cop? This guy's mother. Now, son, did we or did we not talk about the dangers of eating burgers for breakfast? While busy Americans are working hard trying to live their lives in peace, and while our cities are being overrun by criminals, cops like these are busy wasting time, resources, and oxygen, giving this guy a hard way to go about the time of day he chooses to eat a hamburger. that I went to get lunch and I'm driving back home. >> No, you went to You told me you went to get breakfast. >> It's 12:50 in the afternoon. >> I meant lunch. >> If you if there's nothing going on, you're be on your way. >> I know. I'm pretty confident that's going to be the case. Wanted me to get out of cars cuz I said breakfast instead of lunch and you said my hand was shaking. >> You can open request the body cam footage, sir. You should know what's going on in the motor vehicle stop at this time. >> Okay. I think I just summed it up. Well, you skipped a lot on your on your recording. You're missing a lot of information. >> All right. So, tell me what I see. >> You're not going to narrate what's going on here. Okay. I have a body camera that's going to do that for everyone. >> I don't know what time or how long the canine's going to take. So, you're right. I'm not going to waste anybody's time. Okay. I'm just going to give you the summons for improper signal and we're going to be on our way. And you guys thought these were just cops. What you didn't know is they're also dieticians and doctors and mathematicians and storytellers primarily of fictional stories. And it should be noted once again that there wasn't one good cop to arrive on the scene and inject any kind of intelligence or was even willing to break the cycle of stupidity and ignorance during this tyrannical inquisition style traffic stop. This entire investigation was unwarranted and would constitute harassment if any of us did the same thing. But wait, you think this was bad? What if I told you that this sheriff called his deputies for help? They arrive on the scene code three about a wrong Burger King order. And six, the Cobb County Sheriff is vowing to build trust after body camera video shows multiple deputies help him with a fast food order. Channel 2's Courtney Francisco is live at the Burger King in Mapleton where this happened. And Courtney, you've watched all the footage connected to this case. Yes, I obtained three videos from Cobb County and in them you can see the sheriff's truck is parked in this section of the parking lot outside the restaurant. Deputy patrol cars are parked with emergency lights flashing and employees are locked inside the building. The employees of Burger King felt like they had to lock themselves inside the building because the elected protector and servant sheriff was acting unstable and erratic about a burger order. You'll get a beating. Best respect us non-compliance will upset us. But they're not finished being morons yet. They're going to run code three. You're watching from the vantage point of three Cobb County deputies who showed up after Sheriff Craig Owens called them to Burger King. >> Hey, do me a favor. >> I need to get all I need is the owner name of whoever owned this damn facil. >> And the video is grabbing voter attention Friday night. >> The video definitely tuned me in. >> I don't need no damn money back no more. I just need to find out who owned this place so I can do official complaint. >> He tells the deputies Burger King staff got his order wrong. I want to order her Whopper. No mayo can have, right? >> Three deputies go to the door. >> And they were so concerned that they locked the doors. >> Staff give the deputies names and they bring it out to the sheriff. >> That's all I need. >> The video is from 2023. Sheriff Craig Owens is running for reelection this year and his opponent, David Cavender, first posted it online overnight. >> Let's be real here. This one guy, Cavender, who wants the ring of power, is calling out a psychopathic sheriff who currently has and abuses that power. He says, "This is just one example of how Cobb's current sheriff abuses his position, wastes resources, and puts himself first. Yet, I have no doubt that if Caender becomes sheriff, he would also spend his time and resources plundering and terrorizing people under the current drug war and utilizing tyrannical tools like civil asset forefeiter, which is legalized police approved armed robbery. Power tends to corrupt and these guys continually demonstrate just how corruptable they actually are. I think it is an abuse of power. >> Mike Donninger is running as chief deputy and called it intimidation and a waste of resources. >> Deputies run lights and siren, placing citizens at risk and his deputies at risk just so that he could get information from a business owner that clearly could have been followed up on on another day. >> The sheriff called it a business dispute that any citizen can make. He did not respond to two requests to go on camera, but in a statement, he wrote in part, "I have always worked to build confidence and trust in leadership. To our citizens and residents, it is clear that I need to work harder, and I pledge to do so. Anything that takes away from that mission is a distraction, and for that, I am deeply sorry. >> Please tell me nobody believes this." Normal people don't snap over wrong food orders. And only a sociopath would call armed gunmen to extract the name of a business owner who got his food order wrong. And can we just talk about the brainless, soulless deputies who did the sheriff's bidding for a second? They were willing to jeopardize the lives of community members in order to answer to the whims of a dumbass sheriff who couldn't control his temper over mayonnaise on a freaking hamburger. >> If I don't get ketchup on my Whopper, do I get to call police officers with sirens? >> The sheriff argues he never told staff his position in power and never asked deputies to do anything they would not do for anyone else. I didn't tell her who I would. No, I just told him it was the guy out the truck. >> And Cavender's team told me he could not talk on camera tonight because he's on duty with the Cobb County Police Department. >> They're all a danger to the public and immediately need to be checked in to the Gray Bar Motel.
