First and foremost, I'm an advocate of the Second Amendment. I'm a supporter of the Second Amendment. I'm a fan of the Second Amendment. I love videos like this right here because as these charlatans continue to talk, they expose themselves for the tyrants. They really are. The Constitution hating American rights despising tyrants they truly are. This is Sheriff Grady Jud from PT County, Florida. And he's going to talk about how much he loves, how much he supports, advocates for, and is a fan of the Second Amendment. I'm going to play it all the way through, and you let me know just based on his words if you think he's truly an advocate for the Second Amendment. Listen to this and then we're going to talk about it at the end. Hello everyone, Sheriff Grady Jud here. The first district court of appeal in the state of Florida has ruled that our law prohibiting open carry is not valid. That's right. So, effective September 25th, if you open carry a firearm in Florida in a public place, it's okay. Here's some things that you need to remember. First and foremost, I'm an advocate of the Second Amendment. I'm a supporter of the Second Amendment. I'm a fan of the Second Amendment. So, exercise your Second Amendment rights. But it's important to remember a few things. Understand the law. For example, even with the ruling by the court where you can open carry firearms as well as the law that allows you to carry firearms concealed, you can't do it in government buildings. You can't do it at colleges. You must understand the law. You need also to understand the law about stand your ground. I've seen wellmeaning people end up in jail because they pulled a firearm or used a firearm in violation of the law thinking they knew what they were talking about. So please, if you carry a firearm, be proficient. go to the range, know how to use it, know how to safely carry it. And with open carry, you lose the surprise element. Everyone knows you have the firearm. And you may be a target of someone who wants to steal your firearm. So, personally, I like carrying a firearm concealed, and you can in Florida, but I also understand that some people want to openly carry firearms, and they can. Now, when it comes to private businesses, for example, any private business, any private residence, you can be restricted from carrying your firearm openly or concealed there. So, here's what happens. If you go to a private business or to someone's residence and you're asked not to carry the firearm, you have to leave with it. If you stay there, then you're committing armed trespass, which is a felony. So, please, we love our Second Amendment, but it does come with some restrictions of when and where and how. So, learn the law. We're going to provide some state statute numbers for you to read and be aware of. God bless you. Take care. >> This is another example of a government officials profound misunderstanding of public and private. When a private owner doesn't want your gun on their property, that's their property. They have a say on that property. They're not curtailing your right to carry. They're just saying you can't do it here. A government employee is not supposed to do that because the Bill of Rights is supposed to safeguard us against government intrusion and government restriction. Totally different being prohibited in a government public building or a college or a school zone or a gun-free zone as opposed to a person's home or a person's business. Personally, I think you're stupid if you own a business and you don't want your patrons to be armed because an armed madman is going to make his way into your store or restaurant if he wants to. And if that armed madman enters that store or restaurant, he's the most powerful person in the building if all the other patrons comply with your stupid rule. Now, you tell me, is Sheriff Grady Jud pro-constitution? Is he a supporter of the Constitution? An advocate for the Constitution, a fanatic for the Constitution, a fan? Is he really? If Grady Jud was such a fan of the Second Amendment, then why did he enforce the unconstitutional law that Florida had on the books? Why didn't he rather protect the rights of the people in Pulk County in spite of what that Florida statute said? because he's not a supporter of the Second Amendment. He's not an advocate. He's not a fan of the Second Amendment. He's a hater of the Second Amendment. He's a despiser of your rights and he's an oppressive tyrant. That's why if the First District Court came back tomorrow and said, "Oh, no. You know what? It is unconstitutional to open carry. As a matter of fact, it's unconstitutional to even have a weapon." Sheriff Grady Jud has proven that he will enforce that unconstitutional anti-sec amendment freedom snatching law. And to drive this point home, I queried Grock. I said, "Review this video and comment on it from a purely Second Amendment perspective." Here's what Grock said. From a purely second amendment perspective, this is a solid prights video that correctly frames the ruling as a restoration of a core constitutional right. I thought that's why they called it a right because you can't take away and you can't restore something that you didn't have a right to take away or restore in the first place. Says Sheriff Jud explicitly affirms the second amendment. He calls himself an advocate, supporter, and fan of it, and encourages people to exercise your Second Amendment rights. That's a refreshing stance from a law enforcement official, especially in the context of a court striking down a state restriction. The video treats the right as real and exercisable, not something to be grudgingly tolerated. The ruling itself aligns with original understanding, they say. See, the problem here is that they invalidated the Second Amendment and the law enforcers enforced that invalidation. The First District Court of Appeal correctly recognized that Florida's open carry ban, Florida State Statute 790.053 violates the Second Amendment as incorporated against the states. Open carry has deep historical roots. It was the predominant mode of public carry for much of American history. The decision tracks brewing from 2022 by demanding historical analoges rather than letting modern mayisssue style restrictions stand. This is a win for shall not be infringed principles. No, it's not. No, it's not. Because if a court can take away your right and then restore your right, then you have no rights. Grock ends with, "Overall, Sheriff Jud does more good than harm here. He doesn't fear monger about open carry. doesn't push for new restrictions and celebrates the court victory as expanding liberty. This is the kind of law enforcement messaging Second Amendment supporters want. Respect the right. Inform the people from the practical landscape and let adults make their own decisions. The ruling is a net positive for Florida gun owners and for constitutional carry principles nationwide. Well done by the court and credit to Jud for not fighting it. That's a pretty low bar. I obviously call out Grock's inconsistent hypocritical BS and say, "But if he's an advocate, supporter, and fan of the Second Amendment, why would he ever have enforced that unconstitutional law in the first place?" To which Grock says, "That's a fair and sharp question from a strict Second Amendment viewpoint. It cuts to the heart of the tension between oaths, duty, and constitutional fidelity." Grock says, "Sheriffs and police don't get to pick and choose which statutes they enforce based on personal constitutional interpretation." And I disagree. Yes, they do. They do it all the time. It's called officer discretion. Until a court strikes down a law or the legislature repeals it, it carries the presumption of validity. Enforcing it isn't necessarily an endorsement. It's executing the job as defined by the state's legal framework at the time. So, in other words, well, we're just following orders. If the legislators tell us to do it, we'll do it. If they don't tell us to do it, we won't. Jud, as an elected official, swore to uphold both the US Constitution and Florida law. And that's the problem right there. You can't do both. They're both mutually exclusive and diametrically opposed most times. Prior to the McDaniels ruling, Florida Statute 79053 was on the books. So, his agency enforced it like every other valid statute because that's what tyrants do. This isn't unique to Jud or guns. It's how the system works. Executive branch officials like cops and sheriffs aren't many Supreme Courts. They arrest for violations and the judiciary sorts constitutionality. Many pro-2A sheriffs operate the same way under pre-buin restrictions. In other words, if they make a law that violates your rights, then cops and sheriffs like Grady Jud will violate your rights because they're told to violate your rights. And as soon as the court makes a different decision, they'll do an about face because they have no morals, ethics, or conscience. says, "From a pure shall not be infringed perspective, this setup is unsatisfying. If the open carry ban was unconstitutional, as the courts later confirmed under Bruins history and traditions test, enforcing it for years meant violating the rights of law-abiding Fidians in the interim, I was just following orders doesn't fully satisfy when the right is explicitly protected in the Bill of Rights." Constitutional sheriffs, a movement emphasizing the 10th amendment and primary duty to the Constitution, sometimes push back harder on dubious gun laws through non- enforcement priorities, public advocacy, or support for legal challenges. Judge office stopped enforcing the ban immediately after the ruling, which is proper. No, the proper thing would have been to never enforce the ban at all. That said, Jud has long positioned himself as strongly pro-2A overall. His post ruling video affirms the right and doesn't badmouth it. If you're in the camp that views open carry as a fundamental historically normal exercise of the Second Amendment, his earlier enforcement and lukewarm tone on open carry, even now reveals a gap between rhetoric and fullthroatated defense of the manner of bearing arms. So they say the bottom line is it's a legitimate inconsistency for absolutists. Law enforcement operates in a world of statutes. Until courts catch up. So until courts catch up, the rights you thought you have, you really don't have. And you can expect law enforcement to arrest you for trying to exercise those rights. But that doesn't erase the fact that unconstitutional laws infringe rights in real time. True second amendment advocacy would ideally include more proactive resistance to such laws rather than waiting for judges. And then the last question I ask is how can you uphold both the constitution and the laws of the state when they so often run contrary to one another? Then it says this is the core unresolved tension in American constitutional governance when state law directly contradicts the US constitution especially enumerated rights like the second amendment. You know like shall not be infringed or shall not be violated in the fourth amendment. The supremacy clause is unambiguous. The constitution wins. Well not in the mind of Sheriff Grady Jud and other sheriffs and other police chiefs all throughout the country. They believe that if there's a law, they are to enforce that law no matter what. Hey, we got a law. You can't have drugs. Oh, okay. If they have drugs, we're going to arrest them. And then if the legislature comes back and says, "Well, no, they can have drugs now." Then the cops are going to go, "Okay, it's okay. Our political parasitic psychopathic class has told us that we don't have to enforce that drug law anymore." So they're just doing what they're told regardless of what is right, which means they're conformist and not moralists. Sheriff Grady Jud is a tyrannical, oppressive conformist because he's going to do what he's told regardless of what is right. In the mind of Sheriff Grady Jud, you don't have rights. You have privileges that are granted to you by government or removed from you by that same government. Am I being too harsh on Sheriff Grady Jud here?
