Yeah. And I was here. He backed up. And so I was going to go to try to to try to put the lights on and stop, but he he turned into Did he hit you when he backed up? Yes. How many videos do we actually have to see that shows conclusive proof that local, state, and federal authorities have no problem lying about you, getting you into trouble, and even ruining your life? They don't even care if you go away for 10, 20, 30, 50 years, or even a lifetime. They will ruin your life, and they will go home to their family, and they will sleep comfortably. And if you doubt about how bad police actually are, and how bad they can be even when their evil actions are recorded, just take a look at the second to the last video on the Civil Rights Lawyer's channel about the story of Lester Isbell, who is a dementia patient who thought it was 1948, and the president was George Washington. And watch how that Sheriff's Department treated him when they put a bag over his head and left him in a chair in a cell for 9 hours until he died. And then what did the Sheriff come along and do? He supported the thin blue line gang members and only fired one guy who happened to flip the bird at the surveillance camera that showed Lester dying in that chair. And they do this stuff continually without remorse. So I think it's incumbent on a just society to constantly call out these evil creatures who claim to be protectors and servants as they fabricate stories against the rest of us. Always record the police cuz cops, federal, state, and local will lie, but cameras don't. Right here, police body camera captures federal agents fabricating an attack that they initiated on a local activist. Good evening. I'm C.J. Ward. And I'm Beth Farnsworth. We begin with tonight's NewsChannel investigation. We dig deeper into an incident involving ICE agents in Oxnard last year. And we reviewed more than 6 hours of body cam video and what we discovered seems to show ICE agents lying about what happened. I know this is surprising to everybody, but they might have done it when they actually did do it. We have it on video. Everyone put your hands out the car. October 16th, 2025, Oxnard police respond to calls about a road rage incident at Mountain View Avenue and Pacific. I am chilling and a willing participant here. Just keep your away from those. He He backed up. Yeah. And I was here. He backed up. And so I was going to go to try to to try to put the lights on and he stopped, but he he turned into the Did he hit you when he backed Total lie. Complete fabrication. And what's going to result in that? What does this guy think is going to happen as a result of that? Oh, the guy just lied about it's definitely getting getting some serious trouble because the federal agents will believe what I say. The local state agents will believe what I say because there's a thin blue line gang code of dishonor and we will honor that dishonor. We don't care whose head has to roll in the process. He backed up? Yes. A witness shot this video that quickly went viral. It shows a silver Jeep Grand Cherokee, Oxnard police say, it was driven by an ICE agent ramming into the side of a gray Nissan Frontier driven by Leo Martinez. Did he hit you when he backed up? Yes. A witness Let's just watch that again. >> shot this video that quickly went viral. It shows a silver Jeep Grand Cherokee, Oxnard police say, it was driven by an ICE agent ramming into the side of a gray Nissan Frontier driven by Leo Martinez. >> Have you heard it all? I shook it up. I don't I don't know. Martinez is an activist with BC Defensive, a group that follows federal agents, including ICE, and warns people about the agents' activity. >> These ICE agents are Martinez told us he'd been doing this for about 7 months, so he knows who the ICE agents are. They recognize him. And they apparently know him. But on this day, everything came to a head. The question is, who is telling the truth about what happened? >> what's going on. Your news channel obtained and then watched more than 6 hours of body cam video from Oxnard police officers who responded to the scene. >> she was putting six. The witness video clearly shows ICE agents following Martinez. At one point, he stops for a second. The agents stop as well. At this point, both vehicles do not appear to have any damage. Then Martinez starts driving forward slowly, and that's when the Jeep Grand Cherokee driven by an ICE agent speeds up and turns hard, slamming into the side of Martinez's pickup truck. And if this wasn't recorded, whose word would the federal agents believe? Or whose word would the local agents believe? They would believe the word of the federal agents because the thin blue line wall of silence will be initiated. The brotherhood will be activated and the tyrants will cover for one another. They'll even cover for one another when video evidence shows that they were guilty. And until there's a public outcry, a police chief, uh sheriff's deputy, a sheriff, nobody in the command staff will do anything. As a matter of fact, if the only video that existed was body and dash cam belonging to the police or sheriff's department, they wouldn't release that for months. And when you did get the release, it would be heavily redacted in the favor of law enforcement and against the person they victimized. But, listen to what the ICE agent told Oxnard police officers when they started asking questions about the crash. >> When you put your lights on, did he turn in front of you? No, I I didn't have a chance to turn the lights out. I wanted to turn the lights out, but I was going to turn cuz he at that point when he hit us, I was you know, I as I was going to put turn them on, he that's when he turned like this. Okay. And then your car hit the side of this. Yeah. All right, so there's two different collisions. Yeah, the the initial and then the the But, that's not what the video shows. These people have no conscience. They have no soul. This is probably one of the reasons that they hide their face and obscure their identities. Cuz they're people too and they live in communities and they don't want the community to find out what kind of evil they're actually involved in. Because if they're going to do this to this activist, they'll do this to anybody. Nobody wants a person like this roaming around in their community. But, that's not what the video shows. When Martinez stops his pickup, he never backs up at any point and there doesn't appear to be any damage to the front of ICE's vehicle indicating a prior collision. >> And once I saw that they were going Martinez was shooting his own video from inside the pickup and that footage backs up what the witness captured on camera. Both videos clearly show the driver of the Cherokee caused the crash by speeding up and then slamming into Martinez's pickup. Here's what Martinez told Oxnard police when they questioned him. And how did the actual like collision occur? He rammed into me. So, I'm just It smashed behind you or in front of you? Well, it was one of those loopy loop things that He smashed into me. Were were they trying to pull you over? No, they didn't turn on the lights until way way way later. The federal agents took Martinez into custody that day, but released him a few hours later. So far, no charges have been filed against Martinez. The federal agents who initiated the violence against Martinez, who smashed up Martinez's vehicle, takes Martinez into custody. It's amazing that Martinez didn't get disappeared. It's amazing that Martinez dash cam footage wasn't stolen. And again, if this wasn't recorded by a third party, we would never know about this. And the local cops would have taken the federal authorities word for it, and Martinez would have gone to jail. Our police chief Jason Benitez issued a statement to your news channel right after the incident, which stated in part, "The video depicts a silver Jeep Grand Cherokee driven by ICE agents broadsiding a gray Nissan Frontier. The person who was arrested by the agents is driving the Nissan." I bet this guy would have totally lied against Martinez on behalf of the ICE agents if they didn't have that third-party recording. Though the video does not tell the entire story, such as what may have preceded the video, it calls into question what may have transpired. >> [laughter] >> It doesn't call into question, it makes everything definitive. It shows who the actual aggressors were, who actually committed the crime, who actually lied. That's what it shows. We made multiple requests to federal authorities, including ICE, Homeland Security, and the US Attorney's Office, asking for evidence that would back up the ICE agents' version of events. So far, we have not received anything. We also asked if the ICE agent seen on camera is still on the streets patrolling, and if any investigation is underway into the conflicting stories. Again, we have received no answers. They will probably never release the identity of this ICE agent. He'll get away with this, and he'll probably get a promotion and a pay raise. The bottom line is, you always want to record police, because if the cops did this to Martinez, you know, we're talking about ICE agents, federal, state, local, it doesn't matter. They will absolutely have no problem doing the same thing to you. Watch your backs, be careful, understand what freedom means, and I know freedom is scary, it's unpredictable, it's uncomfortable sometimes. What's more scary, unpredictable, and uncomfortable is not having freedom, and local, state, and federal authorities want to make sure that's our world. Cops lie, cameras don't.
