Hey, you shut the [ __ ] up. >> Welcome back to the Lackluster channel. In August of 2025, Good Citizen was watching a band downtown in Butler, Pennsylvania. [Applause] Once the band ended, he began walking home, narrating to his video about being sick. >> Getting sick. >> He passed through some local vendors on the way and stopped to sit for a moment before continuing down here for a second. A moment after taking a seat, he notices two officers standing in the road watching him. [Music] You >> all right, man? You all right? >> Gave him a thumbs up, you know. Let him know it's fine. Really bothers him, I guess. No more than 5 seconds later, the officers approach. >> Hey man. >> Yeah. >> You're looking like >> I do actually. You ain't got nothing crazy on you, do you? >> No. No. You need to worry about this is non-consensual on a consent to talk. >> Oh, it is. You're down there. Keep an eye on you if people said they were making you nervous. >> That's fine. But I wasn't. I was standing there. So, >> it's non-consentual. You guys have a good night. >> Hold on. You're not free to go. I am. No, >> you're not. >> I am. No, >> you're not. >> This is non-consensual stop. I don't consent. >> Well, you got anything on you, man? >> So, what type of a stop then? I'm detained. >> Am I free to go? >> Yeah, cuz people were >> Am I free to go? >> The deal is, >> sir. Am I free to go? >> No. >> I wasn't doing anything wrong. Why am I not free to go? So, I'm detained? >> Yes, sir. >> What probable cause do you have? I committed a crime. >> People out. I got to figure out what the deal is. >> I've committed a crime. I'm about to commit a crime. Give me your Raz. Let's hear it, sir. Fair enough. >> Well, then if you don't know, you can't even stop me. I'd like to be on my way. >> Thank you. Have a good night. You guys, you know, it's fine. You >> I seen him earlier. It's fine. I'm not even drinking tonight. You guys have drunks walking the street, kids skateboarding. What are you worried about me for? Is it the hood? >> You're out there. >> I just wanted to tune out and listen to music. As I told this gentleman, I don't want to talk anymore. >> Go, dude. If you move any more inch. >> Okay. So, you want what? What's going to help you here? >> I got to figure out who you are, bro. Why do you need to figure How is figuring me out going to solve anything? What did I do wrong? You got to tell me what I did wrong to stop >> something else happens. >> It doesn't matter if something else happens. What matters is what you think happened. What What did you see? What did you observe? What did you hear? You got to give me reasonable articul suspicion for this stop or it's it's an illegal detainment. >> Yes, sir. Please. >> People calling on you. >> That's fine. >> People calling you calling us on you. >> Okay. Saying that you're acting here down there. You kept pulling out your shirt. Acting like you're hiding something. >> I'm not acting weird. >> I was standing watching. >> I think it's the last festival in town. I wanted to enjoy the music. >> Act like you're hiding something in your waistband. >> It's It feels uncomfortable. >> You're not listening. You said you're going to let me talk. Go ahead. >> All right. K. You got me detained. >> Hide your hide in your face from everybody. All right. >> I'm sick. I think I got to stop right there to think that something's going on. >> No, you don't. What crime was committed? >> All right. Go ahead and put your hands on the wall. Police need specific, articulable facts that when taken together, give an objective reason to think criminal activity is a foot. The officer claims that several calls told them that good citizen made them feel uncomfortable, that he was wearing a hoodie, covered his face, and had pulled his shirt tail downwards. He then asserted that this was enough to think that something is going on, but was unable to articulate what crime he suspected good citizen of. The officer now demands his ID, and in just a moment, he will admit that he had no particularized suspicion of a specific crime, failing to realize that his admission eliminates reasonable, articulable suspicion, making the officers the only ones on scene in the commission of a crime by violating the clearly established constitutional rights of an American citizen. >> No, wait a second. Under threat of a desk, under threat of arrest, I'll identify right now. I'll identify. So, don't put hands on me. I'll identify right now under threat of behind your [ __ ] back. Okay. Okay. I'm relaxed, guys. You know me. I'm local. >> There he is. There he is. Chulick. You know me. You know you do. You know you got me in cuffs. What are you What are you doing, guys? This is an illegal detainment. Illegal arrest. What is this? What's your name? >> Yes, it is. What are you doing? >> What's your name? >> Guys, this is illegal. >> Sh. Look, I'll tell you. I I told I would ID before he even grabbed me. I said I'd >> You can know me, but I don't recognize you. >> But it's okay. You don't need to know me. >> Anything on you? You don't need to know me. It's in my Okay, stop. Stop. Stop. I don't consent to any searches or seizures of my person yourself right now. >> Okay. I don't consent to any searches or seizures in my person. You took my recording device off me. So now I can't record you, gentlemen. Thank you. I hope you have that. It's in my back right pocket as my and I was going to give it to you anyway. That's that's I don't consent to that. >> Uh it's No, it's in the folded money. There's a razor card in there. Whatever. You know, metal card. >> You guys know me. >> I know you say your name. >> Jeremy Flood. You know me. You've arrested me a bunch of times, but I'm not even drinking. Look at this. It's water. Check it. I'm not even drunk. What are you guys doing? >> There's no open. >> People think, you know, they they think I'm going to, you know, they want to bother me. I was listening to music and tune out. >> I was going to have sunglasses on. You got to relax. >> Okay. You got me in cuffs, guy. For understand. He already explained >> there's no reasonable articular suspicion that a crime could been committed, was about to be committed. And you guys, >> we don't know if there was Well, then you can't just me cuz you don't know. Go investigate. You got me in cuffs. I can appreciate that sometimes. Not right now. Not right now. So now you got my ID then NCIC again, you know. So you give me another sho. You give me another hit guy. Shulick. Come on. How many times have you arrested me? Be honest. It's been a while. It's right because of this. Because of this. No more drinking. No more drinking, buddy. I'm a local guy. >> I'm a local guy. What are you guys doing? Who's all here? I need badge numbers and names. Please, >> we'll get it to you in a second. >> No, right now. Serge. Oh, you're running this night or something. You got to cover it up. >> Nobody's IDing. >> I'm a lieutenant right now. >> Nobody's IDing. You're a lieutenant. Oh, way to go, man. I appreciate that. >> Well, who's above you down there? My cigarette still burning. Make sure somebody don't get Can I pick that back up? You can get the cuffs off. I did nothing wrong and illegal detainment right now. >> What are you running me for warrants? That's all you wanted? Just to see if the guy with the hood who's sick and trying not to expose you all. By the way, >> explain to you everything. Yeah, but there was no crime committed, >> was there? What was the crime? Our job is to prevent crime from happening. >> Okay. But before it happens. So I'm guilty until proven innocent. >> Today's day and age. >> I'm guilty until prove it isn't. >> Solaroid. What's your badge number, please? I understand what happens, but that's not me. So go ahead. >> What's your badge number, please? It's not preventing anything. >> If you want to really see something that said, take a look at that. Government services. Look what happened to our country. >> You guys know me. Hey, but I ain't doing nothing wrong anymore. >> Hey, relax. You're making this worse than right now. I'm not going to say, "Hey, yeah, sorry." Why break my civil rights for nothing? I did nothing wrong. There was no crime. He couldn't articulate a crime. >> Yes, I did. >> What? What was the crime? >> Having a hood on is what you said. >> Not necessarily a crime, but hear me out. >> Having a hood? It's not necessarily a crime, but I'm in cuffs. >> Are you going to let me talk? >> Yes, sir. Go ahead. I'm I'm going I'll bring it down. You guys brought it down. I appreciate it. Lieutenant, you got him in check or something. He's in check himself right now. >> Here's the deal. Okay. People come up to us and said pulling out your shirt. >> That's fine. Okay. I'm adjusting my clothing. >> Stop talking. Listen, you can't do this no more. I'd like to be out. >> You're asking for You're asking for an explanation. Correct. Let Let Officer Solain. >> I want to hear this. Better be good. >> You came up to us. I saw with my own two eyes as well. You kept pulling down your shirt. That right there is a sign that you're trying to hide something. >> Pulling down my shirt is a sign I'm Okay. >> Number two, you kept hiding your face with your hoodie. >> Hiding my face. >> And every time that you saw, by the way, clean every time that you saw me make try to make eye contact with you, you turn down away. >> My head was down the entire time. >> You stopped right here. My head was down the entire time. As soon as you saw that we were right here. >> No, the band was over >> and then I left. When the band ended, everything you were doing was suspicious. >> We were out here because bad things happened. >> I understand bad things from happening and I appreciate that. Okay. So, when people bring this up to us, >> thing is not a hood bring it up to us that somebody's acting like we have a duty to try to prevent whatever weird guy. That's not weird. >> We're not violating violating your rights. We have every right knows it. No, you're not. We're not violating your rights, Jeremy. There's no suspicious activity is a misdemeanor or a felony, sir. >> It's neither. >> Okay. So, it's not a crime. >> It's not a crime. So, you can't put me in cuffs unless you have a crime and you put me in. I know. He already told me. I got that clear. >> Here's the deal. >> I got that clear on recording. I got that clear, by the way. >> Thank you, sir. Keep recording. I'll be done soon. I need to talk to you. >> Here's the deal. If I take you out of cuffs, we know who you >> dangerous. I have a record here and they're horrible. >> Shut up. >> Go ahead. Shut I'll be quiet and then every time we try to talk illegally detained, >> shut the [ __ ] up and listen to him. >> Hey, you shut the [ __ ] up. I am triggered. >> Evidently, that's one of their triggers. >> Life is going to throw stuff at you that you can't control. And the whole game is how you support yourself in responding to it. >> Shut the [ __ ] up and listen to him. >> Hey, you shut the [ __ ] up. >> Hey, what are you swearing? I'll take you out of cops. We're on your way. >> So, it was just fixing my shirt. I want to know for next time. >> I want to know for next time. >> Explain it to you. >> Okay. The hood fixing my shirt. Is that my ID? >> Yes, it is. >> That's water, but everyone's drinking anyway, so you can't get your lightest. >> I don't drink anymore. See, like, you know me when I was drinking. I was an [ __ ] >> I'm a nice guy now, man. I was just trying to >> I was minding my business. >> Thanks, guy. All right. >> It's possible the officers feel so terrible about failing so miserably at the fairgrounds that they're now overcompensating. But the failures shown in this video are almost even more embarrassing. Not only does it show their lack of understanding of one of the most basic parts of their occupation, a Terry stop, it also shows they don't quite understand the tenets behind the Bill of Rights and the constitutional protections we are afforded as citizens. In my opinion, their actions were wholly unamerican, but I'd like to know what you think. Let me know in the comments down below. And if you have a video you'd like me to review, use the links in the pinned comment to submit it. [Music] Hey, you shut the [ __ ] up.
