We've been sick with the flu. >> Okay. >> All three of us. >> Okay. >> And um I [snorts] tried to get up to get clean and everything and I asked my my mother been telling my daughter to get off the couch. She's been just so disrespectful, cussing at us, just >> Her mom, the the the the grandma and the daughter, they look alike. >> Just talking to us, just rude. >> And that's your >> Larkia. >> Okay. >> Yes. You know, so she like, "I'm not doing So, my mother said, "I'mma call the police." That's when my daughter went in the room and charged her. Like, you know, trying to get the phone from her and then that's when I grabbed and then we got in a fight. >> According to Tanisha, she hit Larkia with a stick during their fight. She says when Larkia began attacking Deborah in her bedroom, Tanisha grabbed her by the hair in an attempt to stop the assault. A moment that was captured on THE 911 CALL. >> AND UM THAT'S WHEN MY MOTHER SHOT. >> DID you Did your mom shoot while she was attacking her or while you guys were fighting? >> While we was fighting. >> Okay. >> And then the paramedics are going to check you out REAL QUICK, OKAY? >> HOW YOU DOING? >> HI. >> WAS IT A CLOSED FIST OR like open hand? Okay. So, one time in the in the face and one time in the arm here. You mind if we feel it? Make sure it's okay. All right. >> Deborah and her daughter are taken to the hospital for evaluation while Larkia's condition remains unclear. During questioning, both Tanisha and Deborah described the tensions that took place behind closed doors. >> Right at the time we heard we weren't adding. She busting me up. Fight me. >> You got a scratch on your face. Is that what that's from? >> know. She choked me. She tried to fight. She tearing me up. I've been going through this since she graduated from high school to college. That's when it started. Her with her attitude, talking to me any kind of way, fighting me and her sister. You know what I'm saying? She smoke plenty weed. We go to the dispensary. My mother was didn't want her there. My mother let her stay. >> Well, as uh no, weed isn't isn't the problem. You know what I mean? All the smokers is going to say, "No, weed isn't a problem. It's great." You know, man, these people be hooked on this stuff, man. But for her to, you know, you know, it How can I say this? Man, a lot of times women have problems with each other. Like, and so what I mean by that is that you would see daughters and moms fight more often than what you would see like a mother and son fight, you know? The same thing with typically with the with with men, you see the son and the father get into it a little bit more, you know? It's the same It's the same kind of type thing, you know? Um but for all of this to be going on and just hitting and beating with a stick and all of that is insane. These are the people that, you know, That's your That's your mama, you know what I mean? She Like my mom used to say, she's that, man, "I bring you in this I brought you in this world and I'll take you out." What? What? >> [laughter] >> Listen, at the end of this video, I'mma share a conversation between me and my grandmother, a story that we laugh about now, but at the time uh was not funny, okay? And um my mama got me together, okay? Because of what my grandma told me to do, okay? Because of what my grandma told me to do when I was a kid, man. But uh I thought this that would be a great story to tell and uh you get to hear from from from Grandma Shy, you know what I'm saying? Uh at the end of this video, man. But yeah, let's lock back in. Let's get to it. >> That's her heart, you know, we don't want to see her on the streets. >> In another area of the hospital, Deborah begins to wonder if shooting Larkia will hold serious consequences for her. >> Do I need a lawyer again? >> That I can't answer for you. >> Cuz I did it in self-defense, but that's your family. I've been carrying a pistol since I was 25. License. Almost got in a in Michigan. And I said I'm going to always carry my pistol. >> So, I know you're you're good. I got it. >> Thanks. >> Okay. >> Yeah. You're a good girl. >> With no signs of serious injuries, Deborah is transported to the police station where she begins to express remorse for her actions. >> Man, free granny, man. Free granny. You know, the grandchild is off the hook. >> I had my pistol, man, and I shot her. I didn't mean it, though. Don't serve. I really didn't mean it. >> How much time do you think passed from when the time she hit you till the time you decided Fire. How fast do you think that was? >> 1 second. >> Okay, that's super fast. Like you >> Super fast. I grabbed and and I I told 911 I'm going >> When >> I'm going to hurt her if she hit me again. I'm going to KILL MY GRANDCHILD. PLEASE, GOD. WHAT THE GET OUT OF HERE. I'LL KILL HER. >> YOU SHOT HER? >> I DON'T CARE. SHE WAS also cruel, talking, and I'm going to tell my daddy, granddaddy, everybody. >> Despite efforts to save her, Larkia, a former corrections officer, was pronounced dead by fire rescue personnel. >> I take I brought you in this world and I take you out, man. You listen, it start top of the food chain, grandma, man. >> On her Instagram page, she posted memories with loved ones. 1 year ago, Larkia shared a photo with her grandmother and mother using the hashtag family first. >> I would I would kill my grandma and my mama. >> I couldn't agree more. I would I couldn't even imagine hitting my If I if I hit my dad, he would probably end me. >> [snorts] >> 71 year old Deborah Green Davis was booked in the county jail for the second-degree murder of her grand >> I hope she don't get no time, man. Come on. >> granddaughter Lakia Lashawn Elliott. The case was dismissed by the prosecution and on January 3rd, 2025, less than 1 month after Lakia's death, Deborah was ordered to be released. Watch our full video. >> Good job. Good good stuff, man. Good stuff. Yeah, like I said, uh you know, it is what it is. You know, she she she was coming at her. She's been had a problem with, you know, her mom and and grandma and stuff like that and she thinks she runs her she she she running things around here. Well, hey. Grandma had a trick for her ass, man. Like I said, at the end of this video, there was going to be uh you know, a conversation between me and my grandma and listen, guys. My me and my grandma like this, man. Okay? That's that's my That's my girl right there. Um but, you know, we thought that it would be it would be a funny story to tell. It was not funny at the time, okay? It was not funny at the time, but um yeah, anyways, uh you know, just a little story time from me and my family to yours. All right? Enjoy. >> That was crazy stupid. And I was so mad. I couldn't believe that. That's like, you know, you knocked me like my body. I just felt the out-of-body experience. >> [laughter] >> So, no, but cuz yeah, like back then I was getting you know, I was getting bullied at school and then we was watching you know, I started to get into wrestling and learn like you know, moves and stuff like that. And then uh Yeah, that was Yeah, that was crazy. That was um Yeah, cuz he >> I think about it so off so much, you know? I mean, that never left me, you know? It was like once you hit me, it was like a out-of-body experience. It was just crazy. >> Yeah, because yeah, you you called me into the room. We we were talking about the bullying and then you was like pretty much, you know, you wanted to see how strong I was and I was like, "No, no." >> No, mhm. Cuz I just thought that you know, that you didn't have the punch, you know? You didn't have the punch that you should to protect yourself, you know? And I'm thinking of all types of things that you can do, you know, go to this school, go to karate, go to you know, all kind of stupid things I'm thinking of, you know, let's get a big brother for you and oh man, it was I was crazy cuz I didn't like that at all, you know, that uh some of the things that you had said that happened during your you know, childhood. So, you know, I just wanted to test it out and see. And then I you know, afterwards I just thought that you was crazy because if you thought that you you you know, shoot with that punch, you could have bullied anybody you wanted to. >> [laughter] >> Yeah, that's crazy. >> Yeah, cuz you called me in and you was like, you know, yeah, you wanted to you wanted to test my strength and you asked me a couple of times and then I said, "Nope. No. No." And you was like you was like, "No. I'm I'm you know, yeah." Pretty much was like begging me to hit you and I was like, "Yeah." Cuz I couldn't remember if it was in the hand or if it was in the shoulder. >> Yeah. It was in the arm. It was in the arm. In the arm. In the arm. In the arm. And that was crazy. I I I was like, "You was supposed to spend the weekend." That That was like Saturday. You had to go home a day early cuz that couldn't take it. >> [laughter] >> Yeah. And and and and mom wore my ass out, boy. She beat me TO SLEEP. YEAH. >> [laughter] >> OH. I DON'T EVEN REMEMBER HOW YOU got home. I think I took a cab round trip. You know. >> Yeah. Yeah, you dropped me off, told told mom what happened, and then uh mom was like, "YOU HIT MY MOTHER? YOU HIT MY MOTHER?" AND IT was on and popping at the house. I said, "OH MY I SAID, "I DIDN'T EVEN MEAN TO LIKE WHAT?" SHE SHE ASKED me to DO IT. I SAID, "NO." >> ALL RIGHT. SHE TOLD ME TO do it. You should have told her. She told me to do it. >> I did cuz you you you said you said what happened, but you failed to leave out that part that you told me TO DO IT. I didn't I didn't want to do it. Boy. >> stand looking at you no more for that weekend. No more. [laughter] No more. And afterwards, you know, when I got back home, I was calmed down a little bit and I felt bad for what I did, but I couldn't, you know, and I'm surprised that, you know, I've gotten my arm and shoulder messed up broken. I'm surprised you didn't break it, you know, my arm because I've had my arm broken before and that was nothing just like falling down, you know. >> How old was I then? I was probably like maybe eight. >> [snorts] >> Maybe like eight, seven. All right, yeah, like eight, nine. Yeah, I was like eight. >> Yeah. Well, you was you was Yeah. Well, maybe. Yeah. Well, yeah. Could have been I can't I can't figure out how old you was. You know, time went by so fast with you, you know, being a youngster, you know? >> Yeah, I just wanted to share that story cuz uh, you know, I see this video here and uh, it says uh, you know, "Grandma realizes uh, she just killed her grandson." And that made me think of that story because I'm like, "Man, shoot, when I got home, I thought mom was going to kill me, boy. I was I WAS LIKE, YO, THAT WAS SO INSANE." >> [laughter] >> YEAH, that was crazy. >> Yo, >> It was crazy. I'll never ask anybody to do that again, boy. You don't know how how strong a person can be, you know? And while you felt that you were bullied, you have to turn around and use that strength on other people. Cuz I was nice. >> I was nice. I was really nice. I cuz I was a nice kid, like so I was >> Yeah. >> Yeah. I didn't get mean until I got older. >> [laughter] >> No, you you got intense, you know? you you was able to read something and kind of hold your temper, but you're very structured and and you know, like you always say, you give them two times, you know, two times, the third time, that's it. And that's kind of how structured you are with your life, you know, you'll do something once, maybe twice, but third time, you out, they out, you know. I'm glad you brought that up because I think about it so much, you know, and every time I think about it, I'm like, you know, that was such a crazy move for me to make say, you got to go home, you got to go home this weekend, you know, and that that was the weekend, you know, you spent every weekend with me, but that I couldn't take that, >> [laughter] >> But all right, grandpa, I'm going to I'm going to get off this phone, man, but uh >> Okay. >> All right, love you. Bye-bye. >> All right. >> Looking for answers as the world goes by. Watching [music] reality at the screen. Craziest moments that you've ever seen. It's subscribed. What's the >> [music] >> reaction?
