to you so we're going to talk about Braxton Braxton Smith here body cam video shows tense traffic stop involving Jacksonville veteran who says that he was racially profiled I don't know if this was racial but I knew I do know it was tyrannical okay now it could be that there are people in the Jacksonville Police Department that have a white superiority complex and they don't like people of a different color skin that could that could be a possibility but the overarching evil in America and around the world is when people take a sip of just a little bit of power that power tends to have a corrupting influence on the heart of the powerful so that's what we're looking at right here Navy veteran Braxton Smith said that he was handcuffs searched and questions questioned before being team has obtained police another reason I'm skipping back and forth here is because News 4 Jax has footage that this other one that I have on my my Twitter feed doesn't have so we're just going to kind of toggle back and forth and kind of piece the story together Bobby late last month involving a local initially profile this I'm a black man I'm asking you a question verified to the police Mr black man I'm asking you a question how many times how many different Sirens did I turn hey mods feel free to like I'm I'm not for censorship or anything like that but if somebody starts blitzing the room with all this you know there's this s e x fine dot Biz hot photo sister thing uh you know if they start blitzing the the room and it gets uh it interrupts the chat then feel free to to get them out of there obviously we obviously know what they're all about turn on how many times lay on my phone how many times I heard exchanging those words with an officer Braxton Smith tells the news for Jack's eye team Jacksonville police yanked him out of his car handcuffed him and illegally searched his vehicle the video reveals officers thought Smith was trying to elude arrest news for Jack's i-team investigator tarek minor obtained the video and he's joining us now to walk us through but but how about before they turn the lights on and what was he doing wrong then you know when they turned the lights on in the sirens that's when they thought he was eluding arrest what did they think they would he was doing before they turned their lights and sirens on I mean what was it that provoked the cop hey I need to turn my lights and sirens on this guy needs to be stopped was he was he just sitting there was he was he you know hiding behind a you know billboard and just going wow that guy look at hey look Billy that guy thinks he has rights let's go show him he doesn't let's go show him how fast we can take him away and trample him with tarek so Jacksonville Sheriff's officers say Braxton traveled approximately 300 yards before he pulled his car over that's the length of three football fields roughly 45 seconds to a minute at a slow pace Smith says he didn't pull over immediately because he wanted to find a well-lit safe place to stop smart move number one you don't know if that's a cop number two even if you knew it was a cop you know what cops do to people they though philando castilia after they ask you hey can you show me proof that you have you have the right you have permission from the government to carry firearm okay if I do that you're not going to get all squirrely on me no no I won't he goes to reached or they might Daniel shaver you or they might Eric Garner you and choke you out no no doubt I would definitely want to be in a well-lit area so that you know if they do have body cams on at least they can see something he says he still doesn't know why he was pulled over lights and Sirens along golf Air Boulevard in a business parking lot going to put the birds in the air they're going to get all the cruises they're going to they're going to lay the you know the tire strips on the floor on the ground if I do stop and I do comply and I he was pulled over after speaking with the man at this nearby convenience store Smith tells officers she was trying to find a safe place to pull over for police and himself he's read his Miranda rights and then questioned you're trying to find a safe spot for you or for me for both of us no you don't get to do that okay that's understandable I mean what was so detrimental between me stopping right there and stopping right oh you were trying to keep me and you you don't get to do that I get to Serve and Protect oh excuse me harass and collect I get to knock on your door and say hey I'm from the government I'm here to help it you don't get to do that you know I I well actually I'd like to ask you that why did you keep driving I just told you that I just told you that a lot of movement moving around in that car you just looked in it shut your mouth don't get all out with me they ain't gonna change nothing hey I'm just talking I'm just talking I'm having a conversation with you right no you're trying to talk over me so why didn't you stop I just told you about it you think you're smarter than everyone else you just did to me you just snatched me out my car I rolled it when I did my license my registration you ain't real right you snatched me out the car damn right I did why did I do that why I don't know how about because run my name for 300 yards I had my lights lights and sirens on [ __ ] how many different Sirens did I turn on how many times did I lay on my whole while Smith is being questioned police searched his car for drugs but don't find any they then moved to the trunk where they locate the veterans holstered handgun one of the officers alleges while Smith was being pulled over he somehow reached behind him and put the gun in the trunk through the back seat so what if he did so what if he did aren't there 27 little bitty easy to understand words in the second amendment that they swore to protect defend and uphold with all their lives and with all their might a well-regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free state the right of the people is that man a p part of the people yes he is to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed if there's any kind of background check that's an infringement check if there's any freaking out of a firearm in a b in a vehicle that's an infringement mentality if there's a searching of the trunk and wondering hey did he throw it back here so what if he did doesn't he have a right to throw it back there doesn't he have a right to have this thing in his lap I don't care what your state ordinances and regulations and policies say what is the Second Amendment what is the Supreme like if if it's not the supreme law anymore just let us know oh that's right you did let us know because you got all these other laws that you think are above that I mean they act like it they say with their lymph nodes or supreme law of the land and with their actions they do something completely opposite so what if it was in his lap and it wasn't so what if it's in his glove box and it wasn't it was in his trunk so what he absolutely could have grab right here [Music] look where it says I'll go running for that officers on scene determined Smith was not a convicted felon they then questioned him as to why he doesn't have a concealed carry license for his gun how come you just buy a gun but you can't have a cwl what do you think wait wait wait so a cop who swore to protect and defend my unalienable right to keep in bear arms which nobody should infringe and this cop should they should be like hands on their guns watching out for all right that's how that's how on high alert they should be but he's sitting here asking another man why he didn't he didn't get government's permission to do something that he has a perfect right as a human being to do anyway note the insanity hey so what's the process about it going right you go you go to the background I bought guns my whole life bro I'm a veteran I'm certain ten years ago after more than 30 minutes JSO task force members let Smith go without charging him with any crime all right how many did you hear that oh my God ticket right now and we have gunshots down the road that I'm gonna go respond to you so so those two reasons are getting out of ticket tonight okay oh really oh really because my computer programs precedence over this we might even have a criminal on the next call now I'd stay around and treat you like you were a criminal but my program's kind of messing up here that's pathetic pathetic here's in the middle of the face here's the deal Smith maintains that he was racially profiled he has filed a former complaint against the JSO Task Force officer seen in that video JSO says the incident is being administratively reviewed it's also notable that the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office released this body camera footage to news4jax within eight days of our request and you know what should happen the department shouldn't be sued because the people are going to end up and I know the police departments have insurance and all that kind of stuff but they pay for that insurance and those payouts go out because of the tax cattle who are extorted daily by the government and then you've got another layer of government extortion racket when you have the the road Pirates constantly out there not serving protecting but harassing and collecting and I know I say it all the time but we got to embed this thing into our brains in our hearts this just ain't right and this guy kind of kind of handled it with a grain of salt and with a little bit of humor he almost reminded me of Eddie Murphy may say hey what's up offices like that you know like in trading places it's kind of funny but it's not but it's not funny I mean this guy was good-natured about it but he could have lost his life and you know who should lose their jobs and their way of life is the police officer who pulled them over and all the other cops who didn't stick up for this guy's rights where's that one cop that just shows up going hold on a second guys guys we're we took an oath to protect this guy's rights literally seriously what did he do wrong I wanted before I lay hands on this guy what did he do did he did he do something bad to a child did he did he bust out windows and burn things in the city Square did he
