[Applause] [Applause] turn around okay this is the first time seeing this story back Shamil just dropped it a grandmother needed paperwork for a glucose monitor the NYPD broke her arm an ugly encounter in a Brooklyn Station House is setting off a new legal battle over filming the police okay so this is from May 9th 2022 I'm sure a lot of people have covered this and I haven't seen it yet it doesn't sound familiar to me anyway Patricia Rodney walked into the 62nd Precinct in Dyker Heights on December 2nd 2020 because she had lost her glucose monitor Rodney knew how important the instrument was to her survival a diabetic she had been hospitalized multiple times for complications related to her diabetes and used the device to check her blood sugar levels many times a day quote the insurance company said the only way you will get a replacement is to get this report from the police department that's what she says and Rodney who serves food in a school cafeteria had never had much cause to have interactions with police but she had gone down to the precinct a few days earlier to Lodge her Lost Property report to her dismay the officer who took her information told her he couldn't give her the papers she needed immediately she'd have to come back to the Station House in a few days to pick them up Rodney would have to wait that's the grandmother a little longer for a medical device but when Rodney returned on December 2nd a new officer was behind the desk and she told Rodney that she couldn't get her police report the precinct doesn't issue stolen property reports the officer said to get one of those Rodney would have to go to the NYPD headquarters at One Police Plaza in Manhattan Rodney was at the end of a rope she'd already been told that she could get the report here now she was getting the run around she dug in telling the officer she'd been told to come back and to get the report and she wasn't leaving the Station House until she got it the account up until now is Rodney's As Told in an interview with Hellgate and in a federal civil complaint what happened next is documented in the body worn camera footage of two officers on duty at the 62nd Precinct that night so that kind of explains possibly why this all happened on December 2nd 2020 and it's reported on right here on May 9th 2022 because they will drag their feet on these foyer requests for body cam footage because they got to take time to look at it and should we release this to the public and if we do release it to the public should we you know you know put some edits in there so it doesn't make us look so bad while we're investigating ourselves to find out if we can commit any criminal activity and left any kind of victim we got it we got this it's this massive PR campaign at this point especially for the NYPD remember the Mullen commission was designated because there was so much filth and Corruption and Evil coming out of the New York police department and it hasn't stopped it hasn't abated one iota when the footage picks up Rodney is in the vestibule the precinct house surrounded by police when the sound on the video kicks in NYPD body cameras only begin recording when they're activated but append the previous 60 seconds of visuals from the camera's buffer memory an officer is warning Rodney that body cameras are now on let's take a look at this it's only three minutes long okay so there's gonna be some silence here for a couple seconds okay so she's got her camera also Rodney replies holding her cell phone I'm allowed to film I you know we should really stay away from this a word this allowed and just replace that with free I'm free to film because allowed or allowance or being allowed implies that somebody is over you and is giving you permission or granting you a permit to do something you have a right to do anyway I'm not trying to be nitpicky here I'm just saying the language is pretty important especially in this day and age of abject tyranny foreign let's see here okay so that's the body cam this we're looking at it from the perspective of body cam this is the 60 second precinct maybe this is her yeah okay so apparently there's 60 seconds before audio kicks in foreign if they're gonna break her arm this is going to be horrible man body cameras are now off okay no this is my time our body cameras are now filming I'm letting you know [Applause] man are we asking you to leave you're not leaving and you're not a lot to record a ton of rocks turn around well we before we go one step further here I mean it looks like they were just freaking out about her in possession of a camera and recording them while all of them are recording her isn't that crazy that the government will tell you no you can't have freedom of press here and you look on the ceiling there's like 10 different cameras before you came in you were uh you know you were probably you know profiled with their you know computer software recognition facial recognition and all that and they're gonna freak out about you pulling out your camera when they have cameras recording out it's outrageous it's outrageous rules for thee are me and not for the [Applause] day stop resisting the favorite phrase of Law Enforcement Officers outside of here's the deal stop resisting stop resisting let us voice this tyranny upon you become our victim become our willing victim or things are really going to get bad come on [Applause] arm up and over I'm telling you turn around man if you were a cop and I know you wouldn't be I wouldn't be but if you were a cop and you weren't really fully awake wouldn't this kind of Jar you awake wouldn't this be your smelling salt of reality like what kind of criminal organization am I a part of dude you guys are all overpowering her you're crowding her she has absolutely no chance at back off she hasn't committed a crime she hasn't harmed anybody she hasn't threatened anybody she just pulled out a camera and made a request so that she could you know Lodge a complaint and fill out a report what is wrong with you people now we're gonna take away a hundred percent of your freedoms because you chose not to comply with the big tiring guy you don't mess with the NYPD I'm serious if you go into a Precinct uh at a uh for the New York Police Department you are putting your life in your own hands are you actually putting your life in their hands look at all these body cameras blinking red did you see that look at all the body cameras blinking red and they were freaking out about her one camera her cell phone camera look at this look at all the blinking but one two three four this guy's probably got one five the one that's on that's six look at all the blinking body cams [Music] wow I'm trying to help you I'm trying to help you out looks like help [Applause] I came in with two perfectly good arms and when I went out I went out on a stretch or on my way to the hospital with one broken arm I'm trying to help you [Applause] the mask now we're going to cut off your oxygen supply man all you have to do is cooperate yourself you did this you did this to yourself you broke your own arm you you handcuffed your own arms behind your back you did this to yourself now they're gonna do victim blaming they're gonna play the victim blaming game this is the Twitter thanks back shimo for this information this is the NYPD 62nd Precinct Twitter page matter of fact uh if this makes its way on video like a YouTube video or whatever I'll be sure to put the NYPD 60 second precincts Twitter page in a link in the description and the pinned comment so you can give them your thoughts about this there's probably also a Facebook page if you have a Facebook page let me have that too baximo thank you if indeed they broke their arm you know she's in some serious pain man that'd be serious paying for somebody who's actually in shape too [Applause] can you imagine a broken arm and now they're like they're squeezing their shoulders foreign [Music] [Applause] but I came to you guys for help and all you gave me was harm and injury Rodney wasn't actually filming she she said uh but they were getting very hostile and they were telling me that they were filming me so I held my phone up okay I'm filming you this appears to have been too much for the police running Rodney in the vestibule as luck would have it she was standing directly in front of a sign that read members of the public are prohibited from audio video recording or photography inside this facility so what is that what does that mean that automatically is a huge red flag for the 62nd Precinct of the New York Police Department because they're basically saying hey this is a constitution-free Zone you have no right of Free Press here you're not welcome here if you want to record that's a violation of the first amendment that they swore to protect defend and uphold we're asking you to leave you're not leaving and you're not allowed to record turn around with that half a dozen cops close in around Rodney and in short order she is on the ground screaming as officers twist her arm it felt like they were breaking my arm and yes it turns out they did a medical report confirms that Rodney suffered a fractured elbow I'm not playing with you said the officers she says I'm diabetic I just need a piece of paper now you're going now you're going to jail you see what you did it was all your fault if you just complied if you just bowed down if you just gave up your rights at the door like we told you to do things would have gone a whole lot better for you oh really tell that to Daniel shaver oh that's right you can't because he's dead while he tried to fulfill and comply with all of the commands of Philip brailsford and his henchmen from the Mesa Police Department that's right can't ask Daniel he's gone or philando Castile or Eric Garner James Boyd or any of those guys all you had to do is cooperate you did this to yourself Rodney was arraigned before the judge where prosecutors offered her an adjournment and contemplation of dismissal if she stayed out of trouble all the charges would be dropped Rodney took the deal and the charges were dismissed writing's experience yield is yielded disturbing video in a concerting narrative but the lawsuit she filed afterwards also raises important questions about the right of New Yorkers to film The Police yeah it's like you can't exercise you're right that we swore to protect defend and uphold in this Zone this is a constitution-free Zone which means you probably have to disarm when you go into the police department no doubt you have to keep your cameras stowed you can't break those things out because we don't want you to you know shed any kind of light on our evil deeds in these four walls in 2020 the city council adopted the right to record act which codifies New Yorkers entitlement to fill the plea filling the police in the course of their duties and it says any person may record police activities but there is Sydney ordinance enacted by city council and then there's the New York Police Department policy set up by police leadership the two don't match up why because they're not sensitized to the fact that people have rights and you know what if I was part of the new NYPD I'd be like of course you can film in here we want you to see what good guys we are we want you to see how good of a job we're doing we want you to see how much we care about the public of course if they were doing good they'd want you to record they'd invite cameras in hey bring in the whole bring in the whole crew bring in lighting or whatever we want you to shine a spotlight on our Good Deeds so when they don't want you to record what are they basically telling you without saying it we're not very good around here and we don't do good things and we really don't care about the public and we're probably wasting taxpayer money by doing nonsense like eating Donuts and trying to conspire on how to uh harass people which is a violation of 18 USC 241 conspiracy against rights I appreciate you guys thanks for joining I will see you guys in the next heavily
