welcome back to the lackluster channel today's story involves the atlanta police department on june 19 2019 jamel harris was shot but before police arrived a bystander stopped to render aid she removed the man's wallet to identify him and noted that he had a wad of folded cash she never counted the money but estimated it to be around 500 the man's phone wallet and cash was given to the emts upon their arrival when officer kisha richberg arrived on scene her body camera showed an emt putting the cash into the wallet and giving it to the officer who then placed the patient's belongings into her patrol vehicle the woman who had stopped to help told the victim's wife about the cash and when she called the department to inquire about its whereabouts jamel's wife was told that there was no money in the wallet but it wasn't until the incident was posted on facebook in a post that is now removed that the department had initiated an investigation during which officer richberg told investigators that she never took inventory of the patient's effects and that she had left them unattended in her patrol car which is a department policy violation she then claimed to be unaware of the money altogether however after conducting a lie detector test it was noted that she lied during two questions number one did you receive a wallet containing money from personnel on the shooting incident you responded to and number two did you take money from the victim's wallet because of those results investigators determined that she violated the department's truthfulness policy and fired her and most news reports now claim that the officer mishandled the cash with the police chief saying quote it's extremely disappointing to see the victim of a fatal shooting be victimized twice by the actions of one of our officers i have scoured the internet and have reached out to multiple sources within the apd but cannot find any further information about the officer's current employment within the atlanta police department or surrounding agencies or whether the case was ever forwarded to the fulton county district attorney's office what's even stranger is that the body cam footage that was originally released by apd on their youtube channel is now in an enlisted state with access granted only to those that have the link i've posted below that's fine okay step back for a second yeah i'm not gonna mess with that because it's yeah okay radio's shot to the left [Applause] [Applause] hey i'm clever i'm gonna follow him hey this the officer he's been [Applause] transported [Applause] okay when you get married [Music] um okay so i only have to do this don't do it [Music] a brown claw [Music] that's his wife so that's his wife's information [Music] um [Music] that's the first thing she said [Music] is [Music] thanks for watching if you have a video you'd like me to review email it or send it in via facebook messenger you can also view this and other content on my website if you're new here subscribe for future content if you've been around for a while remember to like share and comment down below of what you think of this interaction shirts and other goodies are available at the teespring store linked below channel membership start at just a buck if you'd like to further support the channel and get a slick lack logo next to your name i'll see you in the next video all links are down [Music] below you
