you saw um chauvin on the neck of of george floyd you know everybody was hollering racism the problem is racism in police departments that's what we got a problem with well this right here shows you that there's no racism involved the element that that's you know if you're gonna sift everything out and try to to isolate oh there's that word isolation it's gonna be it's gotta be isolated and purify it out separate it from all the other elements the element that usually floats to the bottom as you skim everything else away is the kernel of authoritarianism what you're about to see has nothing at all to do with racism because you're going to see a black man a deputy abusing another black man and and putting his knee on the neck just like chauvin did to to uh to george floyd and the head of that organization because remember a stream can rise no higher than its source the head of that organization the actual sheriff to that deputy is also a black man so there is absolutely no racism that could be called here not by logical rational people so listen to this this is this is coming out of the the bso by the way by the way the bso is the broward count broward county sheriff's department remember the guy who who who basically stole the limelight and went viral at the broward county sheriff's department back in what was it 2017 uh february 2017 where that thing happened at that school it was sheriff israel remember sheriff israel was constantly telling you how you people in florida we don't need these guns we got to take these guns away in absolute violation of his oath to protect defend and preserve the second amendment but anyway that's the that's the bso we're talking about it's moments like these that led to a holster out here wow it's moments like these that led to a two-year investigation ultimately getting that bso deputy fired for using excessive force and when asked at a later time if he would do things differently the deputy's response showed no regret with that and more let's go to cbs4 joel waldman he is live at bso headquarters tonight with the details joel elliott lauren good evening to both of you as you said there was no remorse quite the contrary actually which helped lead to the deputy getting fired this is being honest it was this blow to the head of a north lauderdale suspect that helped deal the final blow to sheriff deputy ron thurston's nearly 23-year career at the broward sheriff's office an internal bso investigation found deputy thurston used excessive force back on april 1 2020 at one point pressing his knee on the suspect's neck despite complaints of discomfort you stupid man you stupid bso finding the deputy had every chance to de-escalate the situation choosing not to a gun was found during a pat-down of the suspect excessive force is something sheriff gregory tony made it clear he will not tolerate so there you go there's uh sheriff gregory itani the sheriff is the black man the guy who committed the infraction the infraction is a black man you've got no room to call any of this racism so when you when when the dust settles at the end of the day what is this actually this is power corrupt and absolute power corrupts absolutely if the problem with the world is evil people probably one of the last things you want to do is give some of these power hungry psychopathic power tripping officers a monopoly on force and power that is your problem that is the problem with america and i find it so hilarious that news the cop that news now ninja the video that we dealt with the other night um said that cops aren't the problem with the world it's men with men like you with cameras talking to talking about news now ninja hilarious man hilarious yeah cops aren't order followers aren't the problem with the world guys i've said time and time again that when deputies do the right thing i'll have their back and support them conversely when deputies are accused of stepping out of line they'll be investigated and when necessary held accountable for their actions deputy thurston was in the news about two months after his controversial arrest for posting a critical social media post about diversity in the department his sister had this to say at the time i don't think that the sheriff likes my brother very much for speaking his mind good thing the sheriff wasn't a white guy the sheriff doesn't like your brother for speaking his mind but good thing he's a black guy now bso revealed during its investigation that when asked if he could do things differently in the future thurston said i probably would have killed him right there and we wouldn't be sitting here talking about it now back wow at least he's honest i mean that's rare guys the cop is actually not trying to lie to get out of it he's actually telling what he really feels in his heart from the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks thanks man really appreciate you letting us know what's going on there thurston in 2020 the state's attorney's office declined to file criminal charges against deputy thurston reporting live from bso headquarters joel waldman cbs now what's interesting about this is national news national news refused to deal with this story this was a local news story but national news didn't touch it why because the the uh the players in the scene one of them was the wrong color so they're not going to touch this thing with a 10-foot pole because it actually highlights something that the hypocrisy of mainstream media so they go right for the race they go right for the color of the skin instead of looking at uh derek chauvin you know let's say the whole thing was above board and derek shoving really did this okay trying to prove the reason he did this is because he's a racist why not just stick with hey this human being did something horrible to this other human being that led to his death let's deal with that but no that donna limon can't do that the reverend al sharpton can't do that joy reid can't do that because they're the quintessential race baiters they gotta foment hatred they gotta they gotta stoke the fires of that racial divide but they're not gonna touch this right here because this calls them on their hypocrisy the problem is not that the man with the uniform had black skin or white skin or yellow skin or red skin the problem is the guy had a uniform on the problem is that that human being had a monopoly on force and power and it went to his head he's got qualified immunity if i do this right here the chances of there being negative repercussions are nil man so i'm gonna go for it that's what our problem is same thing with uh uh political parasitic power trippers you give those people power oh you can write laws for us and and actually put in those laws that will be punished if we don't follow them we got to follow your edicts and commands how can you not expect to be 30 trillion dollars in debt 165 with if you count 100 unfunded liabilities and social security and medicare how can you not expect to have the military-industrial complex funded how can you not expect to have massive trillions and trillions of dollars worth of worth of waste and billions and billions of dollars of equipment just left in desert somewhere off tax cattle money they don't they politicians just like law enforcers have that qualified immunity where they're they're actually thinking hey nothing's gonna happen to me look at dennis hastert we talked about him the other day dennis hastert was the speaker of the house second in line to become the president of the united states if bush went down if cheney went down he's the guy second in line bush is already the president so if cheney if cheney and uh if cheney went down he's gonna be dennis hastert will be the president why what's the big deal about dennis hastert brian he went to jail and a federal judge declared that he's a serial child molester we would have had a serial child molester as president of bush and cheney went down that's how high this thing goes and you think it just stops at the speaker of the house you don't think it goes up the chain up the chain up the chain and all these guys there's some dirt on them somewhere that's why they don't get rid of the irs that's why they don't get rid of the federal reserve that's why they don't restore us to a sound money system and protect our sovereignty and bring all those troops home and close 800 military bases throughout the throughout the world where we're empire building that's why they don't do it because there's some dirt those guys got some dirt on those guys and they're not gonna say anything because they don't want their reputation ruined and they want to live a comfortable life for the rest of their life so when you see stuff like this that mainstream media absolutely will not deal with and look at this guy look good thing it's not a white man because guys i am telling you we've seen this time and time again the
