a conspiracy is defined as a secret plan by two or more people to do something unlawful or harmful there's even a law against conspiracies it's 18 USC 241 conspiracy against rights in part it states if two or more persons which would include judges prosecutors lawyers politicians and cops conspire to injure oppress threaten or intimidate any person in any state territory Commonwealth possession or District in the free exercise or enjoyment of any right or privilege secured down by the constitutional laws of the United States if two or more persons go in Disguise on the highway or on the premises of another with intent to prevent or hinder his free exercise or enjoyment of any right or privilege so secured they shall be fined under this title or in prison not more than 10 years or both and at the end of it it says they can be fined imprisoned or they may be sentenced to death that seems pretty straightforward to anybody who's got two micrograms of gray matter hanging between their earlobes I was going to put him in a foot excuse me yeah obviously we gotta exclude him from the two microgram rule when discussing conspiracies you'll find many critics saying things like well they're rare and only then they're generally small in nature this they say is because large conspiracies would never work due to the fact that people would talk besides the fact that very large conspiracies have been discovered and uncovered and they're way too many to count with regard to corruption and conspiracy specifically found in police departments maybe the world needs to get acquainted with the name Adrian Schoolcraft born in 1976 Adrian's Schoolcraft is a former New York City Police Department Officer who secretly recorded police conversations for just one year from 2008 to 2009 and keep in mind this is 38 years after the nap commission which investigated and found large-scale corruption within the same new York City Police Department and 15 years after the 1993 Mullen commission which was also launched to investigate that same New York City Police Department and it's worth noting that the Mullen commission conclusion issued on July 1994 stated quote today's corruption is not the corruption of nap commission days corruption then was largely Corruption of accommodation of criminals and police officers giving and taking bribes buying and selling protection corruption was in its Essence consensual today's corruption is characterized by brutality theft abuse of authority and active police criminality end quote so things had gotten worse at the NYPD in the 23 years after the nap commission much worse Schoolcraft brought these tapes to the NYPD investigators on October 2009 as evidence of corruption and wrongdoing within the department the tapes were used as evidence of arrest quotas leading to police abuses like wrongful arrests and that emphasis on fighting crime sometimes resulted in Under reporting of crimes to artificially deflate comstat numbers after voicing his concerns Schoolcraft was repeatedly harassed by members of the NYPD and reassigned to a desk job after he left work early one day an emergency services unit illegally entered his apartment physically abducted him and forcibly admitted him to a psychiatric facility where he was held against his will for six days and this is why we say so often on this channel that there are only three kinds of cops number one the cop who commits the crimes against humanity while pretending to uphold the law number two the cop who sees the criminal cop committing the crimes and does nothing and number three the cop who Blows the Whistle on all the criminality within the police department and gets harassed or fired for crossing The Thin Blue Line now backfilling this story a little bit in 2002 Schoolcraft moved to New York City wishing to be closer to his parents who had moved to New York State particularly because his mother had been diagnosed with cancer driven both by his mother's desire that he'd become an officer and by a wish to respond to the September 11th attacks in New York City he applied to join the NYPD and he passed the entrance exam and joined the force two weeks later soon after joining the force Schoolcraft was deployed to the 75th Precinct in Brooklyn to join operation impact after 14 months in NYPD he was transferred to the 81st Precinct in Bedford Stuyvesant after a few years on the forest he began to raise issues about understaffing and overtime saying that the precinct had too few officers to do a good job he received the meritorious police duty medal in 2006 and in 2008 he was cited for his quote dedication to the New York City Police Department and to the city of New York brooklynites who lived in the area patrolled by Schoolcraft reported that he was the only officer they knew because he was the only one interested in conversing with them Schoolcraft began recording his conversations in order to respond to public complaints one was that he was using the n-word and he wanted to prove that he wasn't he also subsequently decided to record police conversations between June 2008 and October 2009 Schoolcraft recorded conversations at the 81st Precinct Police Station responsible for the Bedford Stuyvesant neighborhood of Brooklyn New York during that time Schoolcraft amassed a set of tapes which revealed corruption and abuse with the New York City's 81st Precinct the tapes include conversations related to the issues of arrest quotas and investigations Schoolcraft believed an over emphasis on arrests led to wrongful arrests and bad police work a recording from October 31st 2009 includes Precinct Commander Stephen Morello ordering a raid on 120 Chauncey Street quote everybody go I don't care you're on 120 Chauncey and they're popping champagne Yoakam put them through the system they got bandanas on arrest them everybody goes tonight they're underage effort bring them in Lodge them you're going to go back out and process it later on Schoolcraft was harassed particularly in 2009 after you began to voice his concerns within the precinct he was told he needed to increase arrest numbers or receive a bad evaluation the next day he found a paper on his locker reading if you don't like your job maybe you should get another job Schoolcraft also reports that the department directed them towards psychological treatment rather than taking his concerns seriously when he discussed issues like understaffing and stop and frisk with NYPD psychologist Catherine lamstein she directed him to surrender his weapons Schoolcraft was then assigned to a desk job but the the end of his October 31st shift Schoolcraft felt sick and intimidated with permission from his supervisor he left the station an hour early went home took some NyQuil and fell asleep at 6 PM his father called with a warning message he looked out the window and saw police massing in the street he stayed on the phone and after 9 pm he had people moving upstairs the officers had obtained a key to the apartment after telling the landlord that Schoolcraft was suicidal Schoolcraft then turned on two tape recorders before the officers entered about 12 high-ranking officers were present Schoolcraft was interrogated by deputy chief Michael Moreno he asked quote Adrian you didn't hear us knocking on the door Schoolcraft said no and after further questions said Chief if you were woken up in your house how would you behave what is this Russia the two argued about whether schoolcraft's early departure from the station was authorized and whether he had returned to the station with the team Schoolcraft agreed to check into a nearby hospital Forest Hills for high blood pressure when paramedics said they were taking him to Jamaica Hospital he said he was refusing medical attention that's when Chief Mourinho said listen to me they are going to treat you like an emotionally disturbed person now you have a choice you get up like a man and put your shoes on and walk into that bus are they going to treat you as an EDP and that means handcuffs Mourinho eventually ordered just take him I can't effing stand him anymore the police found and confiscated one tape recorder but the other one kept rolling Schoolcraft was involuntarily committed to a psychiatric ward in Jamaica Hospital Medical Center he was handcuffed tightly to a bed and prevented from using a phone by orders of police who were present an officer told the hospital that police quote had followed him home and he had barricaded himself and the door had to be broken to get him in so they made the whole thing up schoolcraft's father eventually located and retrieved his son and the family received a medical bill of 7185 dollars the hospital's report States quote he is coherent relevant with gold directed speech and good eye contact his memory and concentration is intact he is alert and oriented but his insight and judgment are impaired the report also says quote he expressed questionable paranoid ideas of conspiracy and cover-ups going on in the precinct since then he started collecting evidence to to prove his point and became suspicious and quote thereafter him after discharge Schoolcraft was suspended from the force and stopped receiving a paycheck in 2010 Schoolcraft released the audio recordings to the Village Voice leading to the reporting of a multi-part series titled the NYPD tapes the same year Schoolcraft filed a lawsuit against Jamaica Hospital and the NYPD in 2012 The Village Voice reported that a 2010 unpublished report of an internal NYPD investigation found the 81st Precinct had evidence of quotas and Under reporting both of schoolcraft's claims were settled in 2015 with him receiving six hundred thousand dollars for the NYPD portion of the lawsuit the portion against Jamaica Hospital was settled confidentially in November of 2015. conspiracies within not just the NYPD e but in police departments all over the country are no secret we see the fruit of the conspiracies on a daily basis as cops gain power and profit from the public that they routinely plunder I want to close with the conclusion of the Mullen investigation into one of the most corrupt law enforcement agencies in the United States today's corruption within the New York City Police Department is not the corruption of nap commission days corruption then was largely a Corruption of accommodation of criminals and police officers giving and taking bribes buying and selling protection corruption was in its Essence consensual today's corruption is characterized by brutality theft abuse of authority and active police criminality if you get somebody these videos subscribe hit the Bell notification icon give this
