you're trying to put police in a position to where either they abuse their power or they do something different to make them look bad it's not my job to do your job I can't I can't tell you how to do your job man it's all about compliance and trying to help and but I that's still that's not my job to do your job if I'm gonna stand up for one right I gotta stand up for the rest of my rights too welcome back to the lackluster Channel many people legally open carry pistols but it's not common to witness the open carry of an AR-15 even though it's perfectly legal in some states in those areas officers always have the right to ask about the weapon and the intent of those who carry it as long as the inquiry is consensual you never have to answer their questions but the reason I mention it is because in the summer of 2021 I published a video featuring the channel don't tread on me who would openly carry his long gun while walking through Garrett Indiana okay so we just had a cop pass us I don't know if he's gonna stop us yet I don't know if you guys can see him behind us or not is it uh so what's going on around town because I can because like literally because I can I didn't say you couldn't but because I can that that's yeah my Second Amendment right at first the officers claimed he was baiting law enforcement it is a setup and I've very explained to another guy who I've encountered before because you know you're trying to put police in a position to where either they abuse their power or they do something different to make them look bad hold on you so you're doing something out of the norm that you wouldn't normally do just so you get that attention well to me if you're going above the normal that's trying to encounter something different I know they're trying to give a message too there's other variables but it's also a setup because nine times out of ten if you weren't trying to do an audit or anything like that I got an AR I don't carry around town There's thousand people in this town how many hours they don't carry around town but but they do carry their pistols if they have them well you have to have a valid Terrace to make it right but they still do people around town are going to get nervous and call the police right so that there's what you're doing I do at the same time but I'm also trying to bring awareness that it is our right we are lawfully allowed to do this they then ask the age-old question why not just comply and identify yourself so police officers like us we approach you foreign you don't give us information okay it's not my job to do your job that is your job to investigate it's all about compliance and trying to help and but I that's still that's not my job to do your job I I don't even have to legally be talking to you guys right now just to find out who you are yup that is your job why make things like that that makes no rights nothing's going on right right if I'm gonna stick to one right I'm gonna stick to all my rights and actually any information and like I said me even talking to you guys right now I don't even have to I can turn around and keep going and tell you guys have a nice day don't tread on me never provides information to the officers but the encounter continues for a few more minutes while they discuss the importance of exercising your civil rights I can't I can't tell you how to do your job man that's like that's like you coming to my work and trying to tell me how to do my job and not receive information and uh go to everybody's house and ask them hey is there a battery taking place here no you can call us they provide information right but then at that point that's your job to investigate that situation again if I'm gonna stick up for one right I'm going to stick up for the rest of them doesn't make sense his full video and my previous breakdown of the interaction will be linked below since that incident he can continued to open carry through the town and had multiple encounters with the Department these are one of the chamber just nope nope and I can until eventually they just stopped responding this is gonna be a short one I just uh want to say that being my fifth or sixth walk here in Garrett Indiana with my rifle I think I have made it for the most part normal enough now that if anybody does call the authorities that they no longer stop me so they have accepted somebody that exercises their Second Amendment right after successfully normalizing a human right that should have never been outlawed or denormalized he began training harder increasing his load in preparation for hiking the Appalachian Trail and extending his Ruck marches from Garrett into Auburn and it didn't take long for them to stop him yeah I kind of actually surprised that it hadn't happened sooner yeah it took longer than you thought yeah I seen you walk down the street with it I didn't think two two things about it yeah most people don't but somebody obviously told you in right yeah that's no problem are you just passing through or yeah I'm just out for a hike like military training wise no body training more or less I have I have uh Road marching is a good way to work out yeah well I want to actually hike the Appalachian Trail right so and I love backpacking anyway and I don't get a lot of opportunities to go to the trails so I just hike wherever I can okay okay um you mind if I ask for your ID I do okay yeah you don't have to that day nope so uh might help you if you just take the do you even have anything in the mag or is it just an empty bag no it's not empty okay all righty all right if I make I can get you guys names and badge numbers yeah my name is Sergeant Jeff blank okay three nine alrighty and that was also Goble Greg Goble I don't know what his bedroom he might not have heard me but we're such a small Department badge number right I think so all right well enjoy your walk man all right thanks bud the Second Amendment wasn't written for gun enthusiasts hunters or marksmen it was written to ensure that you could protect yourself because when seconds count the police are minutes away but even more importantly it was created to give the citizens of the United States a protection from their own government because demicide is one of History's leading causes of death the right to bear arms was so
