You know, when you got when you got a officer that gets in trouble and then they got to go down and talk to the supervisors or whoever or they might be getting suspended or whatever if they have a duty firearm, they're just going to disarm them. Yeah, you won't be needing this anymore. You suspended or fired or under investigation, whatever. Right. This is what this looked like. She drew it. [gasps] >> No, he [laughter] not not if the oldtime is all right. Are you all right? Cuz it look like you you going through it right now. He The oldtime said, "No, I'm good. Normal day. I'm good. Are you okay?" Look like you you over here struggling. >> Are you sorry? Are you okay? >> Samo Corazone. >> You good, homie? >> Hell no. He ain't good. He had to send somebody up there. >> I don't know if this is a serious emergency. It's not serious, but um there's a man out here. He tried to take the car. Yeah, you He's still got the gun with him. Safety, Sam. We have a 998. >> Go over here. Take her away. >> Unbeknownst to the officer, the suspect is still alive and breathing in the car. >> Wait there. Okay. >> You good? >> Okay. Suspect tried to take the car. Hey, >> just keep him. Make sure he stays breathing. All right. Stay breathing, dude. All right. Check for pulse. If you lose his pulse, you start compressions. Go to the unit. Back of the unit. Get the orange blocks. All right. >> Is she hurt? >> No. Yeah, she's got a couple scrapes. >> Is she shot? You check her. >> No. No, she's not shot. >> Okay. >> Hey. Okay. Take a deep breath. Hey, look at me. >> You okay? Are you Are you injured at all? >> I just fell. >> Okay. Did you get? >> No. He pointed at me. >> He pointed your at you. >> Who shot? Use my Ben. Are you okay? All right. Just do me a favor. Go stand over there. Okay. Hey, look at me. Look at me. Look at me. Come here. You're okay. You did good. Okay. We're all okay. That's what matters. Okay, deep breath. >> Yeah, it's a friend. >> I don't know if she necessarily did good, but >> Okay, >> he did good. >> Uh, how many how many shots do you think? >> I want to say like six. Six or seven. >> Six or seven. All this direction. >> Yeah. One diagonally. >> Okay. >> Uh, and then I uh pied it and uh I saw him move it and I saw it more. >> Okay. He had the gun in his hand. He had her gun in his right hand. >> Okay. Are you okay? >> Okay. Are you injured at all? >> Okay. Just hang tight. Take some deep breaths. Okay. And just charge. >> Okay. Are you okay, ma'am? >> Yeah. >> I know you're probably pretty shaken up. >> Yeah. I ran in the back so he wouldn't see me and shoot at me. So, I ran in the back, but I heard gunshots. I don't know if they hit my car or not. I don't know. >> My bosses are coming right now. Okay. So, you need to let them through. >> No, I'm not going to let them through. It's a crime scene, but we're going to accommodate you. Okay. >> Okay. So, >> yeah. Heather, will you just make that wide? Medics are in here. Let the medics come in. Just go ahead and stand right over there. Okay. Ma'am. >> Fine. >> Listen to what she said. Yeah. You need to let them through. Uh, how you going to tell the police what they need to do? You ain't about to [laughter] What a joke. >> Hi, how are you? >> Yeah. Did you happen to hear or see what happened? >> I heard five gunshots is what I believe is what I heard about. Five gunshots. >> Okay. >> I don't know if it was an officer or somebody yelling to somebody to like stop. >> Okay. >> Right. And it was constantly stop like they were yelling like to somebody to stop. >> Do you remember if it was a female voice? >> It sounded like a female voice. Believe it or not, it did. It sounded to me it sounded a little >> And where were you at in your room? >> I was actually right just right here in the kitchen. >> Okay. >> Right in here. I like to hear it. Um, and that's when I kind of peaked out. I could hear I don't know if it was a crash that I heard. It might have been the car hitting that and that's when I came out and at that point I saw that was a gun of officer holding a gun into the car just holding it and telling them to get out. >> Okay. >> But >> so you heard about five shots. You said you said female voice. >> Somebody hearing somebody say something like stop or >> how many times would you say? >> God about two or three that I want to say. >> And then um and I heard like a bang. I thought maybe it was the crash. That's when I came out and saw the gun, the guy, the officer was holding a gun to the car and just telling him to get out. >> Okay. >> And I did hear him say that several times and that was that's other officers joined in. And then I think >> And then when you say car, what car do you >> So So the officer was holding the gun to to the actual police vehicle. Okay. Which is right on the other side of this um ambulance here. >> Okay. >> Yeah. Later, the suspect was pronounced dead at the scene and the shooting was ruled justified, bringing the investigation to a close. However, the suspect's sister later spoke out about his mental state and shared the following statement on television. >> I believe that he was simply just trying um to leave the official site and that he was very skilled at that moment as anyone would be if you had a gun on you. He did have a blood disorder and sometimes he would get brain bleeds and when he would get these brain bleeds sometimes it would make him very disoriented, confused and he would think that people were out trying to halt him. >> Does that that don't that don't justify taking the cop's gun? Like what? What? What? Yeah, we ain't we Yeah, we ain't trying to hear that, man. So, yeah, he got sent up there, you know. Yeah, he he knock he was knocking on them gates. I mean, it is what it is, man. You know, [music] uh I think the the guy officer did pretty well. the the lady officer. I mean, I feel bad for like her afterwards. Like what she did go through is a very traumatic event, right? Like that is traumatizing. You know what I mean? Like being disarmed now, you know, having a weapon pointed at you and now you're in fear and everything. That is very that's a lot to go through. But if you draw your weapon and you're telling them stop, don't step any closer, whatever the case may be, and you see them start to reach for your, you justified. You better put about three. Turn him to Swiss cheese. He's out of here. Gone. Earth is a wonderful place. You messed it up, man. Go try that mess somewhere else. You know, some people may say I'm cold, desensitized, whatever, man. It is what it is. You don't do that type of stuff, man. Go play them games with somebody else, man. But yeah, man. You let me know how you guys think the lady officer did. Like I said, the aftermath of it, you know, it is a very traumatic event. So, I can see her maybe going through a lot like, you know, I can understand the emotions and, you know, the the weapon being pointed at her and everything. I understand all of that. But in that actual moment, you drew it, he stepped closer, reached and disarmed you like it was nothing and threw you to the floor like you was just like you was nothing. Just Yeah. Let me get that Let me get that up off you. You ain't go, you ain't using that, man. Give me that. Go on, man. And that was it. Let me know your thoughts about that, man.
