grants him the right to travel but this
New York cop is not having any of his
nonsense and he lets him know in true
New York style

so what crime did I commit retail
violation all right is that a crime yes
what crime is that well driving is a
privilege right all right but I'm
traveling so I'm letting you know that

okay so first of all asking what crime
you've committed is the wrong question
to ask really isn't it because traffic
violations are not always considered a
crime the question you should be asking
is is this against the law but we all
know why they don't ask that because the
answer will always be yes and secondly
if you really think applying for a
driver's license is begging then that
says more about you
yeah that's for private reasons so can
you give me your sergeant

okay so first of all it's Reasonable
articulable Suspicion I can kind of
understand the verbal mistake but then
you go on to type out suspicious on the
actual video so you really must believe
it to be reasonable articulable
suspicious anyway secondly you've
already been told the reason for the
Stop countless times repeating yourself
only makes you look dumb and trust me
you're already doing well in that
department
okay what crime did I commit the crime
that you committed is a vehicle and
traffic law violation okay the vtl of
New York State and that's a crime yes
and I'm just going to explain to you as
a police officer or a police officer in
the city of New York the state of New
York a violation made in our presence is
a crime and it is a possible arrestable
offense now really yes now to further
just explain the reason why we're asking
for any type of identification that you
might have is because in New York state
it is a privilege to drive a motor
vehicle okay it is the only time in New
York state
that you have to supply a type of
identification so if you're any type of
paperwork anything with your name or
just so I can verify Who You Are
yeah the differences between traveling
and driving is well documented and
understood the courts do not agree with
your interpretation of traveling
because we do have to fill out a report
called a vehicle Report yeah
the document that's the reason why we're
asking or I can just take your
information verbally if you'll allow
that yeah you can take my information
verbally but I'm letting you know right
now I'm traveling you're trying to give
me a violation for driving and I'm not
driving I'm traveling I have the free
rights to travel all right we're trying
to if you're trying to implement a
violation for driving on someone who's
traveling you're violating my liberal
rights and you're being recorded and
you're trying to tell me that that
violation applies to me when I'm trying
to let you know that I'm traveling all
right I didn't eat the red light
no I didn't I didn't put nobody's life
in danger
I mean hang about that kind of sounds
like you're saying he can pull you over
if you get caught committing one of
those traffic violations because running
a red light is a vtl so he's speeding
and speeding puts lives in danger so
you're contradicting yourself there a
bit I didn't commit a crime I'm dropping
my girlfriend off no no I told him
you're trying to implement motor vehicle
violation codes on someone who's in an
automobile traveling that's two
different things Sergeant okay
to travel you do understand that correct
and do you understand that sites in the
9th and Tenth Amendment as justification
for driving illegally is kind of insane
and something you should definitely be
doing in front of a judge on camera so
we can all see his reaction
look I'm not gonna sit here
because we're going to go to court
because you're trying to give me a
violation ticket so that means I'm gonna
have to go to court at one moment so
like I told your office over here that I
am recording for course
so what did I do wrong
that has to do with you know we're
traveling

story more like he gave you a break that
happens all day every day to regular
drivers but you guys choose to spin
encounters like this into a win for some
reason
