named Ryan was sitting at home when his camera system caught two officers of the Apple Valley Police Department on his property looking through his windows they eventually come to his front door and request that he comes outside note that the camera system records in small Clips I hi please come outside real quick we just have a couple of questions for you Ryan's exterior door is glass and the officers can see and hear him just fine most people in this situation will comply and go outside to answer questions however it is in your best interest and it is your right to both refuse to answer the door or answer the officer's inquiry in most cases they are only there to find ways to incriminate you through their interrogation if they hadn't arrest warrant a warrant to search your property or exigent circumstances they wouldn't bother to ask to speak with you and would force their way inside if they must speak with you you still have a right to have an attorney present even if you are not detained or under arrest these officers Tell Ryan that someone called and alleged that he had pointed a weapon at someone and was concerned about some of your actions earlier today yeah and so we just want to get your silent story see what's going on I don't have a name [Music] I would prefer if you stepped outside for me so we can have this conversation Danny 49.41 officer speigled 49-43 because they're pointing at God I'm so much so step outside what step outside right now Ryan [Music] know what we'd like to talk to you about it or else more about that story all right well you're being okay you're being a little confrontational for no reason right now we just wanted to talk to you I'm sorry I didn't hear what you said because you interrupted me the clip ends again Ryan goes to grab his phone the heath can't have a heart attack [Music] I'm gonna charge something as if this statement you can prove your innocence wasn't enough of a sign that these officers have a backwards understanding of the law the officers have now admitted that they have no evidence that Ryan committed the crime he is accused of but still conspired to charge him with something this is exactly why you should always film and limit your interactions with law enforcement as often as possible I personally have no idea if Ryan brandished a weapon but I also have no evidence that he did his neighbor's claim is nothing more than hearsay and these officers don't even know the alleged victim's name but they were all too ready to arrest Ryan with nothing more than an accusation made through a phone call Ryan also records the interaction on his cell phone please uh again yes ma'am Danny Low is the badge number okay what was the purpose of the visit here tonight when did I point a gun at someone you don't have a warrant for my arrest I have not committed any crime okay this is unfounded if you guys can come back with a warrant that would be beautiful thank you yes from the other people what information is that okay well I'm telling you it's not true okay do you want to go outside and tell us more about that for what would the purpose of that be I just told you that I when and where what did this occur I have cameras on the house so I have Alibis can you tell me when and where this occurred I have cameras on the house so I have alibised to all this so can you tell me when and where this occurred please I I mowed the lawn and I've been here most of the day okay I have video of me with the dog all day um I mean my lawyer will be happy to send it to you if you if you have a warrant for it well you don't have a warrant for my arrest so I think I'm just gonna shut the door and finally Ryan shuts the door don't answer questions you are innocent until the state proves you're guilty if they can open the door and get you they will Ryan attempted to file a complaint with the Department the chief responded telling him that the case is still listed as active and that they had difficulty communicating though the video was clear enough for me to subtitle it they could have talked but the officers appear to have only wanted to exert control over Ryan by getting him outside they were likely trained that this is best for arresting someone and for officer safety but no one wants to talk to someone that accuses them of a crime calls them confrontational and
