so here's the deal here's the deal either give me your id or you go to jail how about that here's the deal [Music] [Applause] this is a news story from fox 6 news in milwaukee and i wanted to go over this because this milwaukee man says he rushed i want to go over this because this highlights once again that when police show up and and an innocent person calls a cop it's the innocent person that usually ends up getting the short end of the stick not usually let's just say a high percentage of the time this is one of those examples these black guys own this cigar shop and while they were sitting there smoking their stogies a bullet came through the the ceiling i'm going to play this here in a second but i want to just set you to set you up with it turns out a young kid in the upstairs apartment was showing some girls as guns a gun discharge went through the floor which was the ceiling of the smoke shop downstairs it went through the kid's leg upstairs so he got hurt through gunfire and one of the guys sitting down in the cigar shop got hit so obviously his friends in this members-only cigar shop call the ambulance they have him rushed to the uh to the hospital upon arriving at the the hospital the police do this investigation and then they arrest the wrong guy listen to this a milwaukee man says he rushed his friend to the hospital to save his life and ended up with five police officers piled on top of him but it's what officers left out of their reports that prompted him to reach out to fox 6 investigator brian polson wait a minute the cops left something out of their report it wouldn't be something that would implicate them in some sort of criminal activity would it no cops wouldn't do that when five police officers struggle to get one man to handcuffs you probably wonder what that man did to provoke them i wonder especially actually i don't innocent actually when i see cops piling on one guy i don't i don't wonder what the man did i know what the law enforcers are doing because usually the guy is innocent and when i mean innocent i mean he may have transgressed may or may not have transgressed the laws of politicians backed by the threat of force but breaking a law we all know is not a criminal act in most cases matter of fact uh you know when injustice becomes law resistance becomes what what one of the founding fathers said resistance becomes duty so no i don't usually wonder what the guy did wrong i wonder why the cops are engaged in criminal activity again and what their end goal is we just cooperate it's a question michael poe has been asking himself for a year when fingers are getting pointed at you for something that you didn't do man it's kind of hard to say what you emotionally what's going to be going through your mind poe is part owner of a private milwaukee cigar club named for 11 black professionals who've been friends for years on april 14 2021 three of them were watching basketball we've seen a big spark come from the ceiling then i said oh it's a hole up in there ceiling when their friend cried out i've been shot blood is just gushing out of his leg po quickly made a tourniquet and daniel beard grabbed his keys we just said hey we just got to get them to the hospital they called 9-1-1 on the way to columbia st mary's police quickly respond to 504 east center is empty but no one's there you know the adrenaline's flown when the cops are driving down the road uh you know 100 miles per hour endangering everybody else's life so they got this adrenaline going it's like what you mean somebody had a gun oh good i get to pull out my gun and put my finger on the trigger maybe i can end somebody's life just do me a favor and go talk with my partner outside the emergency room the victim's friends tell police what they saw i thought the cylinder fan went out and poe alerts an officer and i do carry a service weapon to it he is carrying a gun i was always told to say that yup no that's good there's nothing wrong with that as one officer heads in to meet with the victim what room did he go others separate the witnesses do you get that never ever separate if you've got a group of guys like this or it's you and your girlfriend or you and your family or whatever and the cops want to separate you nope ain't gonna do it and if they force you to be separated you take the fifth you know why because even though they were all in that same room at the same time if you give just a slightly different story they're automatically going to assume that somebody's lying and you can't lie to the government they can lie to you and that's policy but if you lie to them it's a felony and they will pin it on you so number one you don't want to separate number two if you if they force you into a separation situation everybody take the fifth i ain't talking until my lawyer gets here nope i don't care how friendly you're being i don't care how nice you are i don't care what drinks you offer me and and make me feel comfortable about being in your presence mr officer or mrs officer not gonna do it i don't trust tyranny and i don't trust you guys you guys separate us so we can get different stories so that you can put somebody in jail i already know how this works once again beard and poe explain what happened there's a hole in the ceiling larry's like i've been shot he said i've been shot i'm like what what is his leg that would be freaky imagine sitting there with your friends just shooting them shooting the breeze and one of your friends one of your friends just gets shot out of nowhere and just starts pouring blood and be like what the heck just happened nobody had a gun out i mean there's no broken windows so it wasn't a drive-by that would be that would be a weird weird situation everybody it would be shocking it would be astonishing how did that happen this doesn't make any sense all i know right now is i can't figure it out we gotta get we gotta get larry to the hospital at the same time police forced their way into the lounge violation of the fourth amendment did they have a search warrant probably not but they don't care the police anybody in here announce yourself and find a bullet hole in the ceiling oh yeah right here just as the witnesses described i'm sure this one's probably not gonna be too hard for myself for the next hour that's crazy officers engaged the men in light conversation like a member's only kind of player because it's a light conversation friendly conversation they were smiling they were laughing they were kicked back don't let your guard down they're trained to do that they're trying to look for an inconsistency they're trying to look for something that doesn't make sense or doesn't add up or a different story oh you must be hiding something but then sir them their tone changes oh no i'm not friends i feel crazy as hell a citizen in the hospital lobby starts his own recording good for you citizen good for you human being who's looking out for your other fellow human being who doesn't happen to be in a clown costume that's what you want to do if you're let's say you're sitting in a waiting room in a hospital let's say you're sitting at the booth waiting for your order in a restaurant let's see let's say you're standing in line at the dmv or you just happen to be cruising out you know for a sunday drive somewhere oh and you see the police always record always make sure your phone's charged up make sure you got to make sure you got maybe some kind of body cam or a dash cam some kind of camera record those cops because you never know you never know some somebody might need that videotape evidence to take in a court so they can win a case against the cops you're trying to frame them as police learn there's a second shooting victim at first 20-year-old cameron lee told workers at mount sinai hospital he'd been shot by a passing car why don't you instead of adding a charge of like lying why don't you just tell me what happened but lee eventually admitted to detectives he was in the apartment above the lounge showing off a gun to some girls when it accidentally went off they like shot through my pants everything not only did lee shoot himself the bullet went through the floor and struck a man in the lounge below what are the the chances of that [Music] but instead of sticking around to explain what happened i'm shot i'm shot what the [ __ ] am i supposed to do lee panicked there's got to be another way out there's got to be another way there's like they're not there's not jump from a second story balcony that was a pretty big joke and ran i don't know how i did it but i just did when officers asked the tenants upstairs what happened hi this morning police is anyone else shot upstairs no they lied told them they didn't see or hear anything that only added to the confusion back at columbia st mary's where the focus turned to michael poe we have reasonable suspicion that the crime has been committed okay but where's your reasonable suspicion that this guy right here is the one who committed the crime where's the reasonable articulable suspicion and they'll pack anything they want to into that so that they can take a person down so they can fill the prison industrial complex because i'm sure there are kickbacks for police departments on that kind of thing for me yes you guys are telling me i could i shot my friend i don't know i don't see it that's why i said you're not understand no officer is a shirt wouldn't the friend have said that when the friend has said yeah buddy shot me i can't believe he shot me just pulled that gun out of nowhere and shot me there were other people in that room why not ask them did he shoot him what are they going on it this doesn't make any sense at all there's no reasonable ticket articulable suspicion that he committed the crime yeah obviously somebody got shot and now we've got two people that are shot but where's the evidence that this guy did it to where they're gonna they're gonna go hands-on they're gonna pummel this guy they're gonna take away 100 of his rights put his hands behind his back put him in charge torture cuffs shove him in the back of a police car and stick him into a rape cage turn po he was not under arrest but also that he had no choice but to come with them for questioning it's either you stand up and you go to our car or you can do it in house i'm not setting up and i'm not doing any cuffs either why not because i'm not well i'm not saying let me stop so we've already pointed out a couple things here okay number one they don't have reasonable atticable suspicion number two the guy who's recording this bravo to you i'm so glad you did that we all need to be doing that and number three this goes to show you even more it solidifies even more and and the the public sphere of knowledge that cops are just order followers can't this guy use his reasoning ability and go wait a second we talked to his friends nobody's implicating this guy uh as being the trigger man nobody at all why would i go hands-on with this guy when he doesn't look like he's committed any kind of crime and if he did there's no proof that he did from there i'm telling you i'm not going up like that the tension quickly escalates like that just sit i always resistance becomes duty resistance becomes duty five milwaukee police officers surround po sir cooperate cooperate comply we'll talk to you about you first lift him a retired detective amazing man you the case as long as we don't identify him yes swamp lover says no just take our word for it we are here to protect you says it was absolutely reasonable for officers to detain poe of course the retired detective says that of course he's gonna say that he's part of the thin blue line gang he's in the club and you wait you now if it was a fellow thin blue line gang member he would get special preferential treatment but this guy wasn't a part of the club he has a pistol on him without a holster by the way get a holster put it in a holster and there's another victim that shows up at another hospital until they sort that out he says you don't know if this guy shot that guy they had no right to put their hands we didn't know if he shot him or not we thought you know what just to be safe yeah sure he could be innocent we're taking him in civil rights attorney james gendy disagrees there was neither probable cause or a reasonable suspicion that this gentleman had done anything wrong not long after this police realized poe was telling the truth hey mr poll we're sorry you've never been in trouble you know you didn't know how this is going to go matter of fact you know this is your gun back but it's what happened next that prompted him to call the fox 6 investigators like okay what is going on here when police finally released 45 pages of case files four months later poe found his name mentioned only once but there was nothing about the force officers used to detain him oh so they left that out huh huh i'm sure it was just an accident they didn't intentionally leave out vital information implicating them in a known criminal enterprise in a known criminal event then they foia request the body cams then this guy steps forward who videotaped the whole thing and they can't escape from it because the camera doesn't lie it's the the best truth weapon on the planet you want an insurance policy grab a camera that they did something wrong that's why they did not put me in this report if the police had conducted themselves appropriately in this manner there would be no reason for them to exclude it from their official reports because of our investigation milwaukee police say they have now opened their own internal investigation how many other citizens out here i'll tell you what uh we're going to take some public funding and we're going to conduct an investigation on ourselves and we'll tell you at the end of it what we found out about ourselves are dealing with the same situation that i dealt with and it's not being recorded poe says he's still trying to make sense of what happened both as a black man in his climate of where america is right now and part owner of a lounge with members that include retired police officers that's why it bothered me so much he says they opened the club to get away from life's problems don't have to worry about getting shot at but even behind locked doors the problems found them thursday will mark one year since this accidental shooting occurred and since then 20-year-old cameron lee he's the young man who was in the upstairs apartment and accidentally fired his gun he was sentenced to 18 months of probation for negligent use of a weapon michael poe has never been arrested for resisting or obstructing police that night he's also never filed a complaint against the police a milwaukee police spokesman tells me it wasn't until our request for body camera videos and a use of force report that internal affairs decided to take a closer look so there you go you got another case of the law enforcement agents hiding vital information that implicates them in criminal activity participating in and initiating criminal activity against an innocent person who they had no proof no reasonable articulable suspicion that he had committed a crime and yet they took him down anyway it doesn't matter if it doesn't matter what color the guy's skin is i don't even know why they threw that in there there was no substantiation for them to throw that thing in there it doesn't matter what color that guy is the problem is it's authoritarianism and tyranny not racism that's what's going on here so having said that leave your thoughts about this for the world in the global thought police in the comments section below and i'll see you in the next video [Music] you
