A New Mexico State Police officer is on administrative leave tonight after getting arrested for drunk driving and she did not make it easy for her fellow law enforcement officers. She refused to listen to them, requiring drastic measures to get her out of her vehicle. Upon her arrest, Deputies found a large bottle of vodka that was 3/4 empty, but Trooper Hall declined to take a breathalyzer test. The Deputies found an open bottle of vodka in Hall's vehicle. She pleaded not guilty to five charges, including aggravated DWI. Due to her actions, she was charged with aggravated DWI, open container, failure to maintain a traffic lane, driving on the wrong side of the road, and three counts of resisting an officer. And though it is unlikely she would have been driving without her firearm, one was not mentioned in the available reports. That night, Hall was booked into the McKinley County Adult Detention Center, and the very next day, the New Mexico State Police placed Hall on administrative leave. However, Hall resigned before an internal investigation could be completed. The New Mexico State Police Chief expressed his disappointment after learning about the arrest, claiming that Hall's conduct did not reflect the values of the New Mexico State Police. And currently, the criminal case is ongoing. Let me know in the comments what you think of this interaction.
