you know 60 to 80 people in there and he should have had 1500 I don't know five thousand ten thousand people in there because he was going over some stuff that every one of us needs to hear so that's want to talk about before we go over to this is a reaction uh for Jeff Gray's video and Denver Metro Audits and I'm going to try to go through this pretty quickly because Denver Metro audits has a police chief Earl Singletary pursuant to 42 USC 18 1940 1983 alleging that the city police had to harassed The Smiths including a claim that Mr Smith had been prevented from videotaping police actions in violation of Smith's First Amendment right now why would the cops do that why would the cops prevent you from videotaping them as they carry out their public duties funded by the tax cattle in that area as the first amendment claims under uh asked the First Amendment claim under Section 1983 we agree with the Smiths that they had a First Amendment right no duh should have never gone to court should have never gone to court why because we already have a First Amendment isn't that redundancy oh yeah let's go ahead and make this law a codifying a law that we already have that we call the supreme law of the land makes perfect sense subject to reasonable time Manner and place and restriction to photograph or videotape police conduct the first amendment protects the right to gather information about what public officials do on public property it is a fundamental inalienable right means not able to put a lien on it you can't claim that right you can't take that right away you can't give a right it's something that is in you because you're a human being not because you're an American you don't you don't have inalienable rights because you're an American because we have a constitution that's under glass at the Smithsonian Institute in Washington's District of Corruption you have an inalienable right because you have a heartbeat in your chest because you have blood coursing through your veins because you're a human being and nobody has the right to take that right away period and and that it goes that it has to go to court and they have to codify laws to you know affirm something that's already there as in the first amendment is ridiculous so so they have the right to gather information about what public officials do on public property and specifically a
