He'll just do his job. He'll stop asking you questions. The law requires the police to stop asking you questions if you ask for a lawyer. So, sometimes they do and sometimes they don't. If they don't stop, then you just need to reiterate you don't answer questions without a lawyer and you don't consent to searches without a lawyer.
