Spread your feet. He had a zero. This is what you were trying to do. Are you dumb? What? >> You got no explanation there, kid, that's going to be worthy. How did we get here? How did this kid get this far into this interaction with a in his crotch? Watch this video. >> I should have shut the car off. >> Mhm? >> Yeah. Yeah. Do me a favor, don't use your phone, okay? It's an officer safety thing. One of the most dangerous things we do are traffic stops, and next thing you know, you tell somebody that you got pulled over, and we got angry somebody showing up on traffic stop, and then we got to divide our attention, okay? >> Did you hear her cop-splaining to him why you shouldn't use his phone? Come on, officer. People are entitled to use their phone. They're entitled to record you. They're entitled to call mom or dad, tell them they've been pulled over. I don't care if you think it's a safety issue. I don't think it is. I don't think it's a safety issue like she says it is. Could they call somebody and say, "Hey, I'm being pulled over," and angry people show up? Maybe. That's not likely. This kid didn't look like he was making a phone call. You can tell real quick which officer on the scene here is in charge. She's in charge. I think she can hear her [music] directing orders. Watch and see what you think about her cop-splaining. >> Is your vehicle shut off? Is your vehicle shut off? Take Can you take it out the keys out ignition and step out of the vehicle for me, please? You stay right here for right now, okay? Do me a favor, just put your hands on the dashboard and don't make any sudden movements, all right? >> Put your hands on the dashboard and don't make any sudden movements, all right? So, she's got this kid who was still on his phone, by the way. Now, the kid's got a a hat, a hood, and a mask. I would have had the kid remove the mask. How about just tell him, "Keep your hands where I can see them. I want you to be safe. I want to be safe. Don't make him do this the whole time while you're back here dealing with brother." >> [snorts] >> Hey. Hey. Hang on a second. Do you have a medical card or any hemp in the car? >> I don't answer questions. Say, "I don't answer questions without a lawyer." Don't answer these questions. They're going to get more probative. Watch. >> Cuz I have I I can smell coming from that car, okay? I'm not bust I'm not looking to bust somebody for just a little bit. You got a little bit? Tell me and we'll work with you. >> Do you notice how vague the I'll work with you statement is? We used to do that all the time as a cop. If you just got a little bit, that's no big deal. I'll work with you. Working with you might mean taking you to jail and maybe talking to the DA and saying, "Hey, he was cooperative." Working with you doesn't mean you're not going to get arrested. So, don't answer these questions. Don't volunteer anything. If she says she smells something, don't justify that with a response. Simply say, "I don't answer questions without a lawyer." Let's keep watching. >> But if you don't tell me, I'm I'm going through the car anyway cuz I have probable cause. So, you're better off right now if you got a little bit just telling me and we'll and we'll talk about it. >> If anything, it's probably just some stuff in the ashtray. I don't really know what it is. >> Okay, and that's it? Okay. Okay. Spread your feet. Spread your feet. Nice and wide. Who is this to you? It's your brother? What's your name? What is your name? Jamal. Do you have a medical card, Jamal, or any hemp? All right. Just stay where you are, okay? You check his shoes. Okay, um go ahead put your phone down. Come on, step out for me, okay? Did you hear us explaining to him why why we pulled him out of the car? >> Why is that? >> What's that? >> I said, "Why was that?" >> Okay, come on over here and we'll explain it to you, too, okay? Come around the back of the vehicle. Over there, man. Right here. There's a coming from the vehicle. Keep your hands out of your pockets, okay? >> He wants to take his shoes, but now he's saying socks. >> Yes, take your socks off, inside out, and wiggle your toes. >> Take your socks off, turn them inside out, and wiggle your toes. That goes a little bit beyond a Terry stop, officer. You're almost at a cavity search there. I mean, having this kid take his socks off, really? I mean, he's already told you there's something in the car. Have you arrested this kid yet? I don't think so. I don't think you're to the point where you can search his toe jam. >> You can put them right back on when we're done. Okay, have I ever pulled you over before? Has he ever pulled you over before? So, you're an expert on how cops do their traffic stops? >> You're an expert on how cops do traffic stops. She's a bully. I'm just going to say it out loud. She's a bully. >> Don't I wouldn't I wouldn't just stop. Stop Stop being difficult. >> There's nothing to be difficult about. I'm just asking a question, man. >> All right, you know what? Do me a favor. Turn around. Stay right there. Turn around. >> Okay, stop being difficult and asking questions. This cop didn't like his questions. He's not being resistant. He hasn't indicated that he's a threat, a flight. He hasn't indicated that he's a threat to her safety, but he pissed her off. So, she's going to cuff him [music] because because she can. >> You're being a little spread Spread feet. Spread your feet. You're just a little too uncooperative and I don't want any more issues. These are not You're not under arrest. You're being detained. They come off as quickly as they go on. All right? But I don't need to worry about this for officer safety. All right? >> Not always do they come off as quickly as they went on. >> I'm going to make sure that I lock them up so they don't pinch down on you. >> The right one I mean left one is just a little bit tighter than I have. This space right here I have a torn ligament. >> Okay, listen to me. >> That's why I'm I'm just saying it's a little tighter than the right. That's all. >> Okay, listen to me. I can feel my finger in there. If I can fit a finger in there, properly fitted. >> saying the left one is a little tighter than the right. >> But they are properly fitted. If I can fit my finger in there and that's the proper >> But >> Let me finish, my god. Stop talking. This is exactly why you're in handcuffs right now because you're being a little difficult. >> Raise your hand if you think he's being difficult. I think these are normal questions asked by somebody that's been stopped by police. I don't think he's being difficult at all. I don't think this is warranted. She has the right to put him in cuffs. She has the right to detain him before an arrest. She doesn't have to have probable cause for that. She just has to have some kind of suspicion that he's going to be a flight risk or some type of safety risk. You think he is? I didn't see that. Now, remember, brother over here still has his crotch, okay? She not even patted him down yet. I think she's going to regret that later. >> You're You're being placed in handcuffs and in the back of my car until we're finished with our investigation. You are not under arrest at this time. >> think I did not have to sit in the car. I was just >> Put your feet all the way in. If it's If it's uncomfortable on your left left wrist, you can slide back and put your feet out this way. All right? >> Sorry, I was trying to shift. >> Watch your knee. >> I was trying to shift. Sorry. >> This male officer here is >> clearly a rookie. He's clearly not the superior officer on the scene. The woman's taken control of the whole scene, but if I'm on the scene of that, yes, she can put him in cuffs. Just have the other officer watch him. Keep your eye on him. I'm going to go pat this guy down. That's all she had to do. She didn't have to show she was boss by handcuffing him. What do you think? >> Come over here. Right over here. Stop and turn around. You're not listening. All right. We're going to do the same thing for you. Stop. Then do what we're asking you to do. Relax. Spread your feet. He had a zero. This is what you were trying to do. Are you dumb? >> Watch this kid pull his arms away. He does not want to be searched, and he certainly doesn't want to be handcuffed with his about to fall out of his pants. >> This is what you were trying to do. Are you dumb? >> What? >> He's in there. Why would you try to do that? Keep your feet where they were. And if he's reaching for this, did you see him reaching? >> Yeah. >> I checked it. >> You okay? >> Yeah. >> Okay, he wasn't reaching. He was trying to keep you from handcuffing him. If he wanted to reach for the he had plenty of opportunity to reach for that while you're over there handcuffing the brother that was being Uber compliant. Don't blow it up. I mean, we've got video of it. We everybody knows what happened. He wasn't [music] reaching. Now, he was in the wrong. He had a It's contraband. He should have told the officer when she got him out of the car. That's context clues. Hey, they're probably going to pat me down. So, maybe I should tell them that I've got this I would have told the officer, "I'm a law-abiding citizen and I have the right to carry a So, I'm going to tell the cop immediately that I've got a on me and probably more than one. He should have told them. But, comment below. Did this cop handle this situation correctly? And if you're a police officer, do the Monday morning quarterback yourself. Tell me what you think she should have done or shouldn't have done or compliment her on what you think she did right. But, let's look at some of the comments in their section. You shouldn't be a cop if you're that easily offended and nervous. I can't disagree with that. She was an annoyance and a pest. She shouldn't be a police officer at all. She is completely unprofessional. I wouldn't say unprofessional necessarily. She did a lot of cops planning and she wanted you to know that she was in charge. So, there's that. Here's the comment of the day. Never ever smoke in your vehicle. That is just like giving cops probable cause to search. Be an adult. Smoke at home or in your apartment or house. Good comment. I agree with that. If you're going to ride around hot with car, that's still probable cause to search in most states. Even in states where there's legal hemp like Tennessee, it's still probable cause if they smell legal hemp. Like it doesn't even have to be illegal. It can be the legal stuff you just bought at the corner store. Why would you give cops that reason? Don't smoke in your car. And if you liked this video, you'll love this
