Here's what to say when a police officer asks, "Can you walk in a straight line for me?" These are what we call field sobriety tests. They are follow the pin with your eyes, stand on one foot, and count to 30. They are all designed for you to fail. There is no good thing that comes from you taking these tests. There are things that you can do that can mimic indicators of impairment that your body does normally. And I teach people, never take these tests. These tests are designed for you to fail, and you're not going to pass them. Don't fall for the gimmicks. Don't fall for the tricks.
