Get on the ground. Get on the ground. Get on the ground. Get on the ground. Get on the ground. Get on the ground. >> I'm starting to think the officer wants this guy to get on the ground. But why? What did he do? >> Get on the ground. Get on the ground. Get on the ground. Get on the ground now. Get on the ground now. Get on the ground right now. Sorry, Harley. I'm starting to feel dizzy. Punched me in the head multiple times. Watching videos like this will sometimes make you question your sanity and sometimes even your very existence. Do you remember that part in Orwell's book 1984 where it said something to the effect of the party told you to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears? It was their final most essential command. Well, the Orlando Police Department is going to basically tell you to deny the evidence of your eyes and ears in this video. They're going to tell you that this guy right here, James Metti, initiated and provoked an attack on the officer, and I don't see any video evidence for that. We're going to look at the assertion of the Orlando Police Department. We're going to look at this interaction, make some comments along the way, and you tell me what you think. Maybe I am going crazy, but I don't see the initiation of an attack by Meti, but I do see the initiation of an attack by this Orlando police officer. Let's just go ahead and get into it. Oh, and you got to hang around till the end where you see the Keystone cop attempt to bring Machete down. Let's just start with the preview again. What initiated this? >> Hey, deploy. Get on the ground. Get on the ground. Get on the ground. Get on the ground. Get on the ground now. >> Get on the ground now. Get on the ground now. >> Yeah. >> Get on the ground now. >> Get on the ground, dude. You're going to get t or you're going to get sprayed. Get on the ground now. On February 10th, 2022, an Orlando police officer was serving his community in a routine crossing guard detail at the intersection of North John Young Parkway and West Harwood Street. While sitting in his marked patrol vehicle, the officer was blindsided by 33-year-old James Mosetti, who began aggressively banging on the car window to lure the officer outside. What appeared to be a simple citizen contact quickly devolved into a violent unprovoked struggle as Mosetti launched a random physical attack the moment the officer exited his vehicle. >> Get on the ground. >> Get on the ground. Get on the ground. >> Get on the ground. >> Get on the ground. >> Get on the ground. Get on the ground. Hey, what's going on? >> Get on the ground. >> Get on the ground. >> Put yourself down. Get on the ground. Get on the ground now. Get on the ground now. Get on the ground now. >> Bravo 24. >> Listen. >> Get on the ground right now. >> You don't know about me. I don't know about you, but >> get on the ground right now. >> Bravo 24. >> Okay. Boy, get on the ground. Get on the ground. Get on the ground. Get on the ground. Get on the ground now. >> Get on the ground now. Get on the ground now. >> Get on the ground now. >> Get on the ground, dude. You're going to get t or you're going to get sprayed. Get on the ground now. The confrontation quickly escalated as the officer attempted to neutralize the suspect using his taser and a chemical agent. >> What was there to neutralize? It looked like Meti was trying to engage the officer in a conversation. The official report says a random and violent physical attack was launched against the officer immediately upon leaving his vehicle. We're going to look at the report in a second. We'll just keep on going on with this, but I'm not seeing that the random violent physical attack came against me by the Orlando Police Department. However, according to official reports, both non-lethal tools proved ineffective in subduing Mosetti's aggression. This left the officer in a difficult physical struggle to maintain control until backup could arrive. A response that was significantly accelerated by the realtime crime center, which monitored the body cam's live feed and dispatched additional units to the scene immediately. >> Get on the ground. Get on the ground. Get on the ground now. >> Get on the ground now. Get on the ground now. >> Get on the ground now. >> I don't know why they're playing this footage over again, but it's probably good to watch it again just to show you that wasn't acting aggressive in any way. There's no video proof that he even banged on the officer's window aggressively. and he certainly didn't immediately violently attack him in a random fashion upon leaving the vehicle. Again, stay tuned because I'm going to read you part of the report from Orlando PD about this incident. >> Get on the ground, dude. Are you going to get t or you're going to get sprayed? Get on the ground now, man. Get on ground. You hear me? Get on ground. Get on ground. >> Get on ground now. >> GET ON THE GROUND NOW. GET ON ground now. >> GET ON the ground. >> Get on the ground. Get on the ground. Yeah. This is the dead >> on the ground. If I shoot you on the ground, >> get on the ground. >> You can tell at least two of the cops, including this one right here, are suffering the after effects of the chemical spray that they sprayed at James. John, >> GET ON THE GROUND NOW. Get on the ground right now. >> Just wait for units. They're coming. Just wait. They're coming. >> Somebody hurry. I'm starting to feel dizzy. He punched me in the head multiple times. Get >> be honest. He punched you in the head multiple times cuz you initiated the attack against him. Officer, >> get on the ground. >> As the situation intensified, backup units swarmed the intersection to assist the lone officer. A chaotic struggle ensued as multiple officers moved in to subdue the suspect, who continued to violently resist their efforts to restrain him. After a brief but intense physical engagement, the officers were able to take Moscetti to the ground, using their combined force to finally secure him in handcuffs and end the confrontation. >> Just wait or I'm starting to feel dizzy. Punched me in the head multiple times. Get on the ground. Get >> right by >> Get on the ground. Get on the ground. >> Was he already on the ground? Get on the ground. Do it now. Get that taser. Get that taser in. >> Here you go, guys. Work together. Work together. Get the arm. Hey, calm down now, guys. Work together. >> Got one arm. >> There you go, guys. Good job. All right, good job. Roll him on his side. We got one to tell you. >> I'm on the 43. >> 1039. >> We have to cancel the 43. Maintain the 44. Following the violent struggle, James Metti was taken into custody and treated for minor injuries before being booked into the Orange County Jail. He now faces severe legal consequences, including charges of aggravated battery on a law enforcement officer, resisting an officer with violence, and hindering communication. In the state of Florida, aggravated battery on an officer is a first-degree felony punishable by up to 30 years in prison. While resisting with violence carries a maximum of 5 years, this incident serves as a stark reminder that there is no such thing as a routine shift for those behind the badge. >> But there is such a thing as routine tyranny. Now, when I initially asked Grock about this, I said, "What happened with James Meti after the incident with the cops on February 10th, 2022?" This said, "James Meti was arrested after attacking an Orlando police officer on February 10th, 2022 and faced serious charges, but he was later released. He continued a pattern of legal troubles. Eventually moved to New York and died in a hit-and-run accident in September of 2025." And filling in on the details said Meti approached an Orlando Police Department officer who is working as a school crossing guard. He, that's Meti, banged on the vehicle, then attacked the officer when he got out, punching him repeatedly in the head and knocking him down. I asked, is that the official report from the police? Because I was thinking maybe it was just the narrator of this video making crap up to make something go viral. I don't know. Is it true that Meeti initiated the attack on the officer? To which the response was, "Yes, that account, Mercedes, initiating the encounter by banging on the officer's patrol vehicle and then attacking when the officer got out comes directly from the official Orlando Police Department reports arrest affidavit and body cam video released by the department did not come out of the body cam video. In my opinion, there was no attack from Meti to the officer. The initial attack came from the officer to Meti and this arrest affidavit was quoted in multiple outlets including the Orlando Sentinel. Meti approached the Mark patrol vehicle, banged on it and then took a fighting stance and struck the officer numerous times in the head and face knocking him down. As far as the OPD statement and from the chief of police of the Orlando Police Department, police describe it as an unprovoked random attack. And I totally agree. It was an unprovoked random attack initiated by the officer. The officer was sitting in his vehicle working crossing guard duty when Missetti banged on the car for no reason. How do we know there was no reason? The officer exited to interact and Meti immediately escalated to physical assault. The party in Orwell's book and the Orlando Police Department are telling you to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears. Is that really a fighting stance? Wasn't the real initiator of the violence the employee for the Orlando Police Department? Leave your thoughts about this in the comment section below.
