I'm going to step out. Okay, go ahead and open the door. Go ahead and open the door. I'm not asking you. I'm not asking. You actually do. I need you to open the door. So, didn't I explain to you that this was a criminal charge, right? I need you to open the door. >> Spoiler alert, she gets arrested. Let's see what she says in the backseat of this police car and watch how she got there. >> Hello. Do you know why I pulled you over today? No? Okay, so are you the registered owner? Okay, so your license is invalid. Do you have it on you? Yeah. According to your tag, yeah. Do you have it on you? Do you know why it might be invalid? Okay. All right, just hang tight cuz when I run your tag it comes back as not valid, so it's suspended in some kind of way for whatever reason. Yeah, I can check for you. Just give me a second, okay? All right, Miss Renee, so your your license has been suspended since April, first of all. Um So, you have like a flight Can you turn the car off for me, actually? Just cuz she So, let me explain. So, you had like a financial responsibility. I don't know if you got a prior ticket, you got something that you didn't pay. There's no way this is happening. I got it. >> Okay, I'm stopping right there because the other officer is behind her car with a little tool taking her tag off. You want to watch somebody lose their mind? Take the tag off of somebody that's maybe got some financial struggles, you know, real life issues. That tag costs money and it sounds to me like this girl is legitimately a arguing her point here. Hey, I paid my insurance. I took care of all that. This might be a big fat mistake on the part of the clerk entering the information, and the cops might not have any real valid reason to do what they're about to do. It's going to get worse. Watch this. >> What's going on? So, the tag There's a seized tag order on your car. >> Seized tag? >> Seized tag. So, the tag has to come off. >> Wait, what's going on? I'm so You're not telling me why. >> I'm explaining to you why. >> me explain. >> You're not letting me tell you why. >> Okay, then tell me >> So, I just told you your license has been suspended, first of all. And it's suspended >> A financial obligation, whatever you didn't pay. >> make any sense. >> Okay, well, I'm telling you that's what it is. >> renewed my I just renewed this >> You can show it to me. It might not be the insurance. >> on here. It's all paid, so it's >> So, what is it? >> You said you're not It doesn't tell me what the financial obligation is. It just tells me that it is. >> going to get arrested. >> I mean, I don't want to be in a >> to say that. >> So, listen. All right, listen. So, the license has been expired since April. I don't know what it's for, financial obligation, whatever the case is. Okay. And there's also a seized tag order. So, which means we have to take the tag off the vehicle. Okay? So, with that Sure, I could arrest you. I don't really want to go that route. >> Do you really believe that? She says, "I could arrest you. I don't really want to go that route. I don't believe that." I don't believe it because I watched this whole video, and you're about to find out whether or not that's true. >> So, they're going to hang out with you for a second. We're going to figure some stuff out, but it is suspended. Okay? I'm not lying. There's no reason for me to lie. It's suspended, and there's a seized tag order. So, the tag has to come off. Okay? I know you don't know what it's for, but I don't know what it's for, either. Financial obligation. >> Insurance? >> Insurance? >> She said it's She thinks it's for insurance, but she already paid for it and whatever, but >> You have to update it with the DMV. >> Right. So, it's probably insurance like you're saying. I doesn't tell me what it is. So, if you haven't updated it with them, that's why. With the DMV? If they still got it suspended, which not only suspended, but it's got a seized tag order, so the tag's got to come off. Okay? Okay. I got to explain she doesn't have a car. >> It's going to be a minute. >> For what? >> She doesn't have a car. >> So, you have no idea what what it's for besides that? >> I really don't. I really don't. Can you see how upset I am right now? >> I get why people get upset even if they know what it's for. Do you want to see if there's any priors? >> She doesn't have a car. >> Oh, you didn't >> Yeah. The car's going to be >> Huh? >> I'm going to have to tow the car. >> I know. >> Did you see that one officer? She said, "I'm going to have to tow the car." And made a face. They don't have to tow this car, people. They're going to make you think they have to tow this car because they had the seized tag order. Okay, so you got a seized tag order. Guess what? You got the tag. Got your little wrench, you took it off. You're going to put the tag in evidence. Let her have somebody come pick this car up. Let her have her own tow truck driver tow it to her house. Don't just keep piling on this girl who's obviously paycheck to paycheck, probably like a lot of you who struggle with bills. And now all of a sudden, I've paid my insurance, I paid for my tag, I've got everything in order. Could be a mistake. It might not be a mistake. There might be some other issue, but I believe this girl, and I think the cops could have a little compassion here. What do you think? Comment below. >> Uh Let me do a search. Do you want to see if she has someone she can call? Cuz we're going to Just take it. All right. Sit in. I need you to roll down the window. >> I need a moment, please, just to gather myself. >> out. Okay, go ahead. >> Okay, now remember this police officer told her a while ago, I could arrest you, but I don't want to do that. I think [clears throat] in this split second, [music] when she said I need a minute to gather myself, and she wouldn't immediately get out of the car, the cop decided in that split second, I'm going to arrest this girl because she's just not following my commands. Now, what do you think about that? Should this cop have arrested her? Let's watch this interaction and see if the cop could have handled it any different. I think she could [music] have. >> Am I being arrested? >> I need you to open the door. >> So, didn't I explain to you that this was a criminal charge, right? >> arrested? >> I need you to open the door. >> Am I being arrested? >> Ma'am, are you kidding me? >> Am I being arrested? Am I being arrested? Use your words, officer. Tell her, yes, ma'am, I'm going to have to place you under arrest today because whatever, or no, ma'am, just get out of the car and let me write you a few citations. We're going to have to tow your car, but let me write you a few citations and then you'll be free to go. Tell her what you're going to do. Don't make her go through this anxiety. She thinks she has the right to stay in the car. She doesn't have the right to stay in the car. Pennsylvania versus Man says the cop can ask her out of vehicle. It's perfectly legal for them to do so. This girl's hesitant because she feels in her bones, which probably true, this cop was always going to arrest her. That's my opinion. >> What do you think? >> Are you kidding me right now? >> Have her step out. >> I've asked you. I've asked you. >> Yeah, I don't have to do it. I can't believe this. I can't believe this is happening right now. >> Stop. It wasn't ABOUT THAT. >> ME. DON'T TOUCH ME. >> OKAY. >> Don't touch Oh my god. >> Yeah, you um she's so small. This happened yesterday. And um The same thing happened at the last small car stop. >> Yeah. >> I'll keep you posted. >> I'm a big threat. I'm a huge threat. That's why you got to arrest me. >> No threat. You're not. >> No threat. >> It's not cuz you're a threat. It's cuz I asked you to sign it. I asked you multiple times. I wasn't going to rush you, but >> And now you're feeling the hurt cuz I didn't sign the damn citation. I asked for a second just TO HAVE A GODDAMN MOMENT. JUST TO GATHER MYSELF. I asked for a moment. >> but I want to ask you a question. >> I asked for a moment. >> Okay. >> I think the officer's feelings were hurt. I think this girl is spot on. Your feelings got hurt because I wouldn't sign the citation. She's going to sign the citation, she says. I didn't see the officer present a citation to her. I saw the officer ask her to step out of the car. She was hesitant to do that. I understand why, but this cop got butt hurt and in that split second decided to arrest her. Watch the rest of this arrest because when this girl gets in the back seat, she's going to say a few things that are pretty telling. >> Calm down, man. >> What? Are you Are you kidding me? You're arresting me for no reason. DON'T TELL ME TO CALM DOWN. >> COME ON. >> NO, WHAT SHE SAY? >> She said I'm not signing that. >> I'm so sorry. >> I wanted this. It's sworn to god. And this is the only thing I give a [ __ ] about any of this. We're all women. And we all suffer at the hands of this system that you slave for. >> I most definitely told you that I was not trying to arrest you. Come on. You were very much uncooperative. >> Did you hear that? I told you that I didn't want to arrest you, but you were so uncooperative. Do you think she was uncooperative? I think she was a little stressed out. I don't think she resisted here by any means. I don't think they charged her with resisting. When I was a police officer, I wouldn't have done this. I would have had compassion on this girl that's clearly having some financial problems and give her a break. I mean, you haven't solved the crime of the century by putting this girl in handcuffs in the back of your car. I think you could have taken a different route and you could have showed that police officers really do have compassion when they need to. >> Or for that woman I see for just a few minutes to gather herself after being pulled over inexplicably, literally, cuz you still haven't told me why my license is suspended. >> I've I've explained it to you I've explained it to >> say all this stuff like I'm just supposed to okay, yeah, great, thanks. That's not enough for me. >> I mean, I'm not sure what it is you want. I explained it to you. >> Why why is it suspended? >> No, you didn't. >> Yes, I did. It's for financial obligation. I can't see what financial obligation is that you didn't fulfill. >> You do. That's why the license has been suspended. Florida authorities only seize Florida tag if the driver is the owner. >> What does that mean? >> It's a for financial obligation. So, whatever it is that you didn't pay or whatever the case >> told me I owed. Nobody told me I owed anything. And I'm in the back of a police car. Like And you couldn't give me a second to calm down? >> She's trying to tell her it's a financial responsibility that nobody told me I owed. I paid my insurance. I went to the DMV. I got everything squared away, I thought. This girl might truly be innocent in the sense that she didn't know what financial obligation they're talking about. And this cop should have had a little more compassion, just my opinion. I'm anxious to hear your comments below. So, it's interesting here to go through the comments of the video that I'm referencing, I'm reacting to. I'm looking at one here from Michael Simpson. He says, "Tired of these kids needing a moment. The world doesn't revolve around your feelings and your needs. Grow up, be an adult, pay attention." What if she did pay attention? What if she had paid her insurance recently and it just wasn't updated in the system? What if she's really right? Yeah, you can have that argument and I mean, I did kind of laugh, I chuckled a little bit under my breath when she said I need a moment to gather myself. I get that, but you know, that's from her age. It really is. And as a cop, I'm not going to be so crass that I ignore somebody's feelings. Call me a softy. I could be salty when I needed to be, but I was a softy when it comes to situations like this and financial responsibility stuff. This girl hadn't committed a criminal offense. She didn't even commit a traffic violation. She wasn't even speeding. This is a financial responsibility stop from the jump. She stopped because she didn't have the money to pay what the man said she should pay. How do you feel about that? I used to be a cop. I think this cop could have handled this differently and did not need to make a physical arrest in this case. That's my opinion. And cops sometimes think that's no big deal. Okay, I made an arrest. It's just for financial responsibility. You're taking her to jail. Write her a citation at the most. That's my opinion, but it ought to be yours. And if you like this video, you'll love this one.
