I've done some research on this video. I've watched the depositions of these officers who were sued as a result of this video and the officer has to concede, "Yeah, the surveillance video of this motel shows the car pulling and then it shows the police car turn the corner. So, there's no way the police officer who was behind the building when this car turned in could have seen the non-use of a turn signal. Now, I don't know if he used his turn signal or not. I just know the cop didn't see it, either. The cop saw about as much of the turn signal as I did and I wasn't even there. So, let's educate this cop on the law. Number one, you have to have a valid traffic stop, which you don't know yet that we don't have, but we don't have that. We don't have a valid traffic stop. No way the cop could have seen his turn signal on or off. He stops him because he was suspicious of them for some reason because of the way they backed in here or just something about their looks caused him to have a belly hunch. We call that a belly hunch. You can't justify a stop for a belly hunch. Let's just say the stop was legal. He didn't use his turn signal. It affected the driving of another. We have a legal stop. He can get the ID of the driver and write a citation. He cannot ID the passenger, front seat passenger, back seat passenger. No passenger has to give ID unless there's reasonable articulable suspicion of a criminal offense. [music] We don't have that here. Somebody sent us this video and there's some comments on it. But one of the comments was that's a lie that passengers have to ID. They do not. You're right. Passengers don't have to ID, but we don't fight about that on the street. I don't think this citizen did anything wrong at all. And I think he was successful in his civil lawsuit. Reasonably sure there was a settlement. I don't think it was public, [music] but he did sue them. A comment to that says, I don't want to make excuses for the cops. What they did was so wrong and disgusting, but all of this could have been avoided if the guy or just had said his name and did not resist. Cuz you can clearly see him resisting. You watched a completely different video than I did. I didn't see this cat resisting at all. And yeah, if he'd have just given his name and his ID even when he wasn't required to, let's just burn the Constitution and we won't get brutalized by the police. Let's do that.
