suspected carjacking that break-in, that was just started with a police chase, ended in North Miami, Northwest Miami-Dade. NBC 6 reporter Christian Colón spoke exclusively to the owner of that stolen car, and he joins us with more details. At 4:30 in the morning, video obtained by NBC 6 captures the moment two men smashed this Dodge Challenger's window and take off. "They smashed my window, they opened the hood of the car, and they just drove off," says Idan Garcia, who was sleeping when his car was stolen. The broken glass still remains, but his car gone in a total wreck. "I don't know how they did it. Maybe they hacked the computer," Garcia wonders. Hours later, police found Kenneth Barahona and Edwin Figueroa with the stolen Challenger. The two leading police in the chase, officers only catching up to them when they smashed into them during a PIT maneuver technique, which stopped the fleeing suspects. She's also being supervised until 2027, it looks like, through the Interstate Compacts for domestic battery by strangulation. Figueroa now facing new theft and resisting charges on top of his open criminal case. Barahona charged for fleeing from police and for smashing windows and breaking into about 10 other cars earlier in the month, at times stealing expensive power tools. I already took those pictures.
