Hey, I'm looking at this Reddit post where Turtlelist F128 thinks he's getting over. This guy on Reddit has complained that his lawyer has suggested to him that he enter into a diversion program. It's a great program. I don't know why Turtlelist is whining about it, and it's a great tool that criminal defense lawyers can use. In Tennessee, you can have a pre-trial diversion or a judicial diversion. A pre-trial diversion is a period of time by which you divert your sentence for 2 years while you go through certain things or conditions that the court may may offer. What a judicial diversion is, you actually plead guilty, but the judgment order is what we call a conditional order, which means it's conditioned upon you successfully completing this diversion program. Both of these programs are gifts to people who are charged with criminal offenses. So, I'm going to speak directly to Turtlelist F128 here. Quit whining. You got a great deal. At the end of your deal, you'll get it dismissed and expunged as long as you're successful.
