So, something clearly went wrong here. If there's a taser in your back and you're not resisting. St. Pete's police chief says a former officer took it too far when a wheelchair-bound man didn't want to go to jail. This should not be your first option. So, when do you use a taser? Let's talk about that. A taser is a tool that you really can use when somebody's not being compliant, but it can't be used for only passive resistance. And this man, if anything, was passively resisting. But, I don't know why this cop thought that he was going to revive this man's paralysis with a taser. And that's really what he used it for. The guy wouldn't get up and get in his car because he can't get up and get in your car. And so, you think tasing him is going to fix that when all the doctors couldn't fix it? Good grief. What a bully.
