Can you legally tell a cop to go F himself? In my opinion, you simply cussing out the police officer can't rise to the level of disorderly conduct unless it includes a threat. You committed an assault there, and you can be arrested for that. But simply cussing out a police officer or telling him what you think of his weight, that should all be protected speech. When I went through the police academy, our instructors would get in our face, they'd cuss at us until spit was flying. They did that because they want you to be ready for that kind of abuse so that you don't lose your mind on the street when they sit you out there with a badge and a gun.
