Call your supervisor. >> I got somebody else coming out. Don't worry. >> Tell them to pull up. Tell the whole force to pull up. I'm not with it. >> The whole force for what? >> What- Whatever you want it to be. I'm on whatever you want. >> a little ridiculous right now. >> called up, being a >> He is a badass. I like this guy. So, we've identified everybody on the scene. We got badass on the bench, and we got bully cop behind the camera. What we're about to see is a cop with absolutely no compassion for the loss of a loved one. That's all this man's doing, sitting on this bench, is remembering a friend that just died with some candles. And watch what this cop calls reckless burning. >> How you doing, sir? >> You think that light on is >> Uh I definitely cannot. It's for my safety, okay? Uh what do you got going on out here? >> What does it look like? >> You want to be a smartass? >> What does it look like? >> You want to be a smartass? It's called reckless burning if you want to If you want to go that route, we can go ahead and push that route. Reckless burning when you're burning something outside of an authorized area. >> Okay, I don't even believe that's true, but maybe they do have a statute for reckless burning. This ain't it. We're on a bench on a walking trail, probably at a park with four or five candles that he's lit in memory of a friend that died in a traffic accident that day. He's out there remembering his friend. This bully cop thinks he's stopping some criminal offense. He gets butt hurt really quick when this guy says, "Hey, turn your light off." And the cop says, "Oh, that light's for my safety." And I don't fault the officer for having his take-down lights on if he's going to talk to this guy. He's entitled to light him up, and that's what he did. He lit him up. >> The light is for my safety. I don't know who you are. I don't know if you're a criminal who's going to try to run out on me or a knife or anything like that. >> So, maybe you don't know that he's not somebody that would pull that on you. You need to deduce a little quicker, officer. Deductive reasoning happens fast, and you're not fast at it at all. >> That's what the light's for, okay? That's what they're there for. That's why they're put on patrol vehicles. What's your What's your name? >> My name is Mora. >> What's that? >> I'm saying. I need you to call your supervisor. And if this is bothering you, I'll put it out. >> I'd appreciate that. That's what my contact is. I was just going to ask you nicely to do that, but since you want to be a smart ass and ask me what does it look like and talk to me like I'm dumb, I'm obviously going to push the other route, if that's I mean, if that's really how you want to go with this. >> Would you like me to put that out? If that's bothering you, you want me to put it out? >> I'm telling you. >> Okay, I'll put it out. >> to have to put it out, but let me get your ID. >> Really, officer? You're that butt hurt? You're that pissed off that you're going to make him blow these candles out? Really? You need another line of work, buddy. If your thin blue skin is that fragile, you really need a different line of work. >> What's your name again? >> Officer Mora, M O R A. Make sure you spell it out, okay? I'll make sure you spell it out. >> Now, who's being the smart ass? Just for some context here, this man was had set up a vigil for a 26-year-old female friend of his who passed away in a rollover crash earlier that day. That's all he was doing. Can anybody in the comment section take up for this cop? Tell me what you think about this cop. Who is this bully cop? Let me identify the bully cop. Officer David Mora with the Longview Police Department, Longview, Washington. This happened in September of 2022. So, it's a little old, but it really gives you a a good picture of Officer David Mora, doesn't it? [music] What do you think? Comment below. >> I'm not saying you are, but what if you're some individual who's trying to hurt anybody, [music] not just an officer, but anybody? >> But I'm not a light. >> I'm not saying you are, but I don't know that. >> Okay. >> Well, now you know. >> And that's what my lights are for. I still don't know that. >> Well, now you know. I'm going to be rude. >> How am I being rude? Cuz I told >> I didn't my >> Hey, you need to relax, okay? >> to relax. >> Okay, then amp yourself up then, if that's the route you want to go. >> you can go ahead and head back to your vehicle. >> I'm not going to head back to my vehicle till you're identified. >> Nothing wrong. >> So, Washington is a stop and identify state, but only during a lawful investigative detention. I can tell you in Tennessee, this would have been completely illegal for him to try to identify this guy. Tennessee is not a stop and identify state. You have to have reasonable articulable suspicion of a criminal offense. Reckless burning might be on the books as a criminal offense. You do not have reasonable articulable suspicion of that offense here. You know exactly what this man is doing and he's not committing a violation of any offense, of any crime. He's out there remembering a friend and he lit a few candles in remembrance of her. That's all he's doing. This cop got really offended and wants to make sure that before he leaves this interaction, he gets this guy to submit to him his authority. He wants this guy to submit. This guy ain't having it. He told you from the jump, he said, "I am a badass." Which is just not what we're talking about right now. This cop should have just tucked his tail and went back home. Realize your mistake, apologize to this man for misinterpreting what was going on, offer your condolences for the loss of his friend. I mean, you don't even have to do that, but at least slink back to your police car and go bother somebody else. >> Do you feel tougher now by talking like that? Do you feel like you're this big bad guy or this big badass by talking like that? >> a badass, actually. >> Okay. >> But that ain't got nothing to do with what we talking about. Nothing. >> I mean, I hope not. It's dark out here, so. >> you could run your headlights. You could do all that, man. You say you want to push your little light bar. Want me to go get my light bar? >> That's That's her friend. >> I don't care about >> He doesn't care. He wants to be belligerent. >> Well, I turned mine off. >> Cuz I have mine on over here, so I mean. >> Thank you. >> That's common sense. >> Well, I could see you wanting to pay your respects to Katrina. That's pretty [music] awful. >> Raise your hand if you think he was belligerent. Uh comment below if you think he was belligerent. Tell me what he said that was belligerent. He's a little bit abrasive with this officer, a little bit short, but I think he had the right to be short and trite. Now, this lady does a good job at offering her condolences. She has a little more compassion, [music] I will say. >> I'm just sitting here. >> I'm going to sit right here. Like I said, if you want the candles, if you want this lighter, if >> I don't need to take anything. I simply asked what you're doing out here, right? >> You can go throw it away if you'd like to. You don't have to. I'll throw it away on my way out. But >> That'd be appreciated. That'd be appreciated. I'm not asking you to leave. Nobody's telling you to leave. >> here. There's nothing There's nothing >> I was simply asking what you were doing out here. I see candles here, right? >> I'm doing out here? What would you be doing out here if your friend What would you be doing? >> I don't know who your friend is. I don't know about that. >> Everybody's my friend. >> Okay, well, I don't know about that. >> I'm a human being just like you. >> Okay. >> So, you want to write me a ticket? Cool. >> I'm not writing you a ticket. I was simply trying to identify you. >> with you. I'm not dealing with you. I'm not. You already done pissed me off. >> Okay. >> You already You already took it too far. You still won't turn off Like >> I'm not going to turn off my lights till I'm done here. >> want to hear it. I don't want to hear it. If you ain't got nothing to say to me, I ain't got nothing to say to you. >> So, at least the female officer had some compassion. She knew exactly who he was out there remembering. The other officer had no clue what it was even about and didn't want to know. Didn't even care to know. He made him blow the candles out, for crying out loud. I'm surprised he didn't take them as evidence. A good cop knows when to enforce the law and when enforcement is necessary. A better cop knows how to give compassion to somebody that's mourning and grieving the loss of a friend. And hats off to the female cop here. I will credit the female cop for at least having some modicum of respect. [clears throat] You know, I'll say this, Officer David Moore, you missed a really good opportunity to make the good guys look like the good guys. And instead, you made us look like a bunch of jerks.
