If you don't mind, may I ask you, why do you have like this negative view towards the police? What's the deal? What have What's ever happened in your life personally where you like You can give me a good explanation. >> Absolutely nothing. >> Really? >> I just graduated. I got a good ass job. >> Right. >> I got to graduate with a 3.4 GPA on a scholarship. I ain't never did nothing in my life. I've been in the house all day. >> So, what's what's the the problem? Like, why Why are we in this situation? >> You. What do you mean we? >> We didn't do We didn't do it. >> You pulled me over. >> We made a traffic stop for your violation that you did. >> All right, man. I don't want to talk to >> And then you went up here with it. Huh? You did the entire time. >> Well, what do you think, officer, that's happened to this kid that makes him untrustworthy of police? You're in a violent crime division. You're going to pull over 30 people today for a pretextual reason with the only hope to search their car. You don't care whether or not you're violating anybody's civil rights. You just [music] are doing the thing that you've been trained to do. You're protecting society. That's what you really think? No wonder this kid has an off view of police. Watch this [music] video of these bully cops doing what bully cops do. >> All right. >> What's going on, man? >> What's up? >> You know what I'm stopping you for? >> No. >> Man, when you turned on here onto Dixie or 18th Street, you turned in the far left lane. You're supposed to turn in the right lane. >> That's a reason. It's not the reason. It's what we call pretextual. It's a pretextual stop for any violation that you can find, but the reason for the stop is I want to search your car. Watch this video. >> Are there any weapons in your car? No drugs? Do you have your ID? >> I got it in my briefcase. >> No, you ain't got any guns, right? You good, man. >> I like what this kid did. He said, "Can I go get it?" The kid does the right thing in telling him what I'm going to do before he does it. I like the way he did that. I'm sorry? >> I have work today at the factory. >> Hey, you got to speak up. All this You said something about work? >> Yeah. I just I got to go to the factory. I'm going to go ahead and check you out, man. >> Do me a favor, put your hands on the steering wheel. I don't know. Do me a favor, grab your phone and watch you get on >> What? >> Because I'm telling you or it's going to fall out when you get out of the vehicle. >> Why are you taking me out of the vehicle? >> Move it up here for you. >> Mama, they're taking me out the vehicle. >> Go and hop out. >> Get out of the car. They're They're telling me to get out of the car now. >> That's the reason why I didn't want anything on you. I don't want to break your phone, brother. >> All right. >> You don't have any weapons on you, do you? >> No drugs? >> Nope. >> Awesome, man. You turn your hands behind your back for me. Switch feet. >> know why I even did anything. Why are you checking me for? >> I didn't say you did anything. So, you don't have any >> Why Why did you take me out the car? >> Do you have any drugs, weapons on you at all? >> I don't. I told you that the first time. I do mine. >> Okay. Awesome. We want to make sure you don't have any weapons, okay? >> No. >> Yeah. We're allowed to pat you down for weapons. >> Mama, they're patting me down. >> Yeah, we're allowed to do that. Quit doing the clenching your fist thing. Did you see him doing this clenching the fist thing? Did you see any clenching of the fist? These cops are being overly aggressive with this kid. Do they have the right to pat him down for weapons? Yes, technically they do, but that's not all they're going to do. >> Can you close my door? >> No. >> Why? >> I can't leave you to go close the door. Quit with the attitude. He's not giving you an attitude and I'm not giving you an attitude. >> [ __ ] He's not giving you an attitude and I'm not giving you an attitude? What do you think? Comment below. Is this cop putting off attitude? I think so. >> And we deal with violent crime all day, every day. We're going to stop more people after you. As soon as we get out of here, you'll go home, okay? If you're wasting our time and we're wasting your time, I'm sorry for the small inconvenience. We're allowed to get people out of the car. Your Your heart is beating through your chest. When you're on the phone with your mama and you narrate to your mama, "Mama, I stopped by the police. This is where I'm at. They're getting me out of the car. Oh my gosh." When you do all that, it's the same thing that people do when they're trying to hide something from the police. >> First of all, stop doing this, cops. Your heart's beating out of your chest. Everybody that gets stopped has a high heartbeat because they have an adrenaline dump. And when you dump adrenaline, what happens? Your heart beats fast. Really seriously, when people are pulled over, it's a stressful event. That's why everybody should read my book, I don't answer questions. It's on Amazon, so they know how to encounter the police, they know what their rights are, they know what to say, how to invoke their right to remain silent, how to do it early and often, how to use the word lawyer, why to use the word lawyer. All of that's in the book and it should be required for young people that drive cars and old people that drive cars. >> trying to take the the situation off of it. Just like you're looking back at my partner over and over and over again, like you're waiting for him to see something or for him to do something wrong. It's 2018, young man. We all wear body cameras, it's recording all of it. It records your audio, my audio, it records all that. So, guess what happens? When if if and when if there was something in that vehicle and we go to trial over it, guess what? The jury you're out of here, too. K9 indication at 18:10. Yeah. Come on. >> I can't really see the K9. I don't think he indicated. I think they made that up. The K9's supposed to go around the car. When he smells what he what they're looking for, he's supposed to sit down and just look at at where he smells it. He's not supposed to get him in the car. That's not lawful. I wish I had the whole video of the dog going around. I'd tell you real quick if he's lying because they'll entice them to sit down, and the dog knows that when he sits down, he gets a treat. He's supposed to do a free air sniff around the car. They're not supposed to let that dog crawl through your car. >> He really likes the wallet. >> He sniffed the wallet because that's what dogs do. They sniff things. My dog really likes poop in the yard. That don't mean there's drugs in it. >> There's a the [clears throat] dog indicated on your vehicle. I don't know what's in your car. But like I said, I don't want you to run. >> Spoiler alert, there's nothing in the car. >> You're not under arrest at this time. I just don't want you to go anywhere, okay? But I'm not going to fight you, and I'm certainly not going to chase you. I had to chase some guy last night, and I haven't recovered from it. So, I'm not chasing you today, okay? >> Man, I had to chase somebody last night, and I still haven't recovered from it. I'm not going to chase you. I'm not going to fight you. I'm just going to handcuff you because I can, and I want you to feel the full wrath of the police department, but I don't want you to have any preconceptions about police from this negative encounter that you're having because this cop is clearly white. You can tell he's never been in a situation where he thinks he's being racially profiled. This cop's never had to experience what this young man has had to experience. How can you even remotely put yourself in his place? >> Look, can I talk to you? Just do me a favor. Hang out by the telephone pole. >> Why did you pull him over before? >> I'll I'll come talk to you, okay? Let's come over here for me. >> There's nothing in there. >> Okay. >> This is my car. >> Can you do me a favor and come back over here? I'm just giving you a reference point so that you can see, man. >> Okay. Okay. >> All right. I'm the I'm the detective who pulled him over, okay? So, basically, he committed a traffic violation right in front of me. >> He conducted an improper turn onto 18th Street, Malgonia. >> I'm Malgonia. I was on the phone with him the whole way. Okay. He said you were following him the whole way. >> Okay. >> There was no improper turn. >> Okay. Well, >> And he didn't give you a ticket. >> for you, ma'am, luckily enough for you, everything was captured on body camera, okay? >> No, luckily enough for you >> Oh, really? Okay. >> give you permission to search >> Okay, we don't need his permission, man. We had a positive indication by the camera, okay? >> Oh my god. >> So, ma'am, you guys are more than welcome to watch, videotape, whatever. Just do me a favor, give us some room and stay over here, please. Ma'am please stay over here. >> I'm staying over >> You're trespassing on private property right now. >> Yes, we're safe. >> Ma'am, stay over there, please. If you approach my traffic stop, I will take you. Ma'am, if you approach my traffic stop, I will take you to jail. I don't care. >> I do not care. >> either. >> You know what? Okay, great. >> Good job, walk away, officer. Do the walk of shame. Do not engage with this lady. She ain't having it. And she's going to stand close enough to see her son. That's mama bear you're fooling with, son. >> Ma'am Sir, can you do me a favor and talk >> no. She's staying back. We said >> Sir, can you handle your wife? He almost said that. Really? You want him to handle her? I don't think she's being handled. You sure ain't handling her. >> Can you go I'm giving you a right point to stand at, okay? It's right here by his yellow Do you see where I'm pointing at? Yes, that would be amazing, please. >> So, we just step back over >> I'm not going nowhere. >> And she's within her rights to be where she is. She's far enough away. This is a reasonable distance from the traffic stop. She's not interfering with the traffic stop. She's not shouting commands to him. She's not telling him don't answer questions. I mean, she's well within her rights to be where she is. >> She opened up the door and took me out. >> You've been in trouble before? Anything as a juvenile at all? >> No. >> Okay. >> My mom private investigator [ __ ] ain't never did [ __ ] >> Your mom is? What's with all the cussing, man? Work anywhere? You probably just graduated high school, didn't you? >> Sell cars. >> Do you? >> I work at North Point. >> That's good money. >> [ __ ] yeah. >> You actually like a car salesman? Man, it's awesome. >> What would she like so much in his wallet? >> I don't know. Probably >> Maybe a bending >> or handling the narcotics and then touching the wallet. >> Yeah. >> You know what I mean? >> You know what I mean? Handling the wallet and touching the narcotics. They're really, really wanting you, the viewer of this body cam, to think that somebody handled narcotics and [music] touched the wallet. You're going there, officer. The dog didn't hit on the wallet. The dog sniffed the wallet. The dog didn't sit and didn't indicate. According to him, she liked the wallet. It just makes me roll my eyes all the way to the sky. >> Sir, have you had anything in your wallet like uh maybe some narcotics in the past or anything like that? No little bit of anything? Okay. >> Have you had anything in your wallet like narcotics, illegal stuff? Will you just tell me, you know, why my dog likes your wallet? >> Do you mind? You want to talk to me? You doing all right? >> I'm pissed off for real because I was on >> off for? >> Cuz I was on the phone with my son. He was scared to death. The narc is following me and I don't know why. I said, "Well, where you at and what are you doing?" He said, "I'm not doing nothing." Cuz he went to the store to get a slush. I said, "Okay. Okay. Look, just don't do nothing wrong." He knows rules. He's just got He got his license, you know. He's a working young man. He don't cause no problem. >> Yeah. >> And then he The thing is, took him out the car. He didn't tell him what he was pulling him over for. Nothing. Put the phone down and get out the car. He said, "Well, for what?" You know. And he said, "Just put it down cuz it's going to drop." Well, why are you taking me out the car? That's what he asked. He said, "Cuz I want to. Cuz I can." And then he's going to tell me for my I'm lucky that he got his body camera on. No, you lucky that you got the body camera on cuz if what you said happened is really on that body camera. >> It's on there. Yeah. It's public record. It's on there. >> Exactly. Yeah, I know. Exactly. But I mean, and then tell me that you detected drugs in my car. Come on, dude. I'm telling you. I'm an officer of the court. There's no drugs in my car. We know better than >> We didn't say there's >> He didn't say there's drugs in the car. Yeah, he said that he detected drugs in the car. >> Okay. So, we're a violent crimes unit. First, we're not narcotics. Okay. >> But he >> So, listen. Just Will you Will you listen to me? Because I want to Okay. Well, you're not going to listen, I don't think, cuz I'm trying to explain to you and you before I can even tell you what we're doing or why we're here or who we are, you're already asking You're already asking another question. You're just not allowing me to explain >> I'm cuz I'm still going off of what he's saying. >> Okay. Well, I'm not him. Okay. I'm trying to talk to you to help you understand as a parent and know why we're out here and what's going on with the whole situation. Will you let me do that? >> Okay. So, we're a violent crime unit. Okay. We don't pick and choose where we work. We are told by our commanders, by the chief's office, where to patrol. And all that is based off of criminal violence statistics. Okay. The 18th Street corridor, California Park, Victory Park, Park Hill, these are all neighborhoods that we patrol. We're told to go to these areas and patrol. >> Okay. >> That's why first off, that's why we're here. Okay. >> I have a problem with that. >> Yeah. I'd hope not. I mean, it's We're just doing our jobs. We're trying to make the city a little safer. So, So, what we do, one of the aspects of what we do, is we focus on traffic stops. Okay. Right now, do you listen to me? >> Yeah, I'm listening. >> Okay. Right now, the city has been plagued by gun >> I don't want the history. I just want to know why my son >> When I say right now, it's not history. I'm telling you what we're doing right now. Okay. And I'm trying It's cuz your cops playing to her. [music] And what she sees, several white police officers pull over an African-American son of hers, and she knows him to be a good kid, working kid, works for his money, doesn't use drugs. She doesn't have drugs in this car. She knows the history and the background of the kid. He's never been stopped by the police. So, talk him through it. Help him understand why you're asking him to step out of the car. >> I just want to hear about my son. I know this >> I'm getting to that. >> I know all of that. >> I'm getting to that. I'm telling you why your son is being stopped. >> You're not telling her what she needs to know. Why did you take my son out of the car? What was your reasonable articulable suspicion to believe that he had something in his car? Use your words. >> So, it's a traffic infraction that he was stopped for, okay? A traffic infraction. He I wasn't here, but I asked the detective why I can't talk to you why y'all stopped him. They did an improper turn, okay? >> that, but okay. >> Okay. You don't believe it. You weren't here. You didn't see it. >> even here. I don't believe your guy, and I believe my son. We done here? >> If you want to be done, you can. I'm trying to help you understand. >> I don't need the stats right now. I don't It don't >> matter at this point. >> It's your own discretion. >> No, it's not. >> Yeah, it is. The reason why you took him out of that car is because you're doing some violent trafficking. >> You just made every word of that The most impressive thing is you made every word of that up. >> you're doing >> I never said that. I never I never said anything about taking him out of the car. >> I don't I don't need the stats. >> You're just making it up. You're making it up. You You can believe what you want. I came over here to try to explain to you, but you don't >> There's a difference between really trying to make somebody understand what you do and trying to make your job look glamorous, and that's what [music] you were doing. And you need to explain why he's still in handcuffs, Officer. You haven't found anything in his car except for a wallet that your dog seems to like to lick. There's no evidence that he's involved in any kind of violent crime. So, why is he still cuffed over there leaning on the bumper of your car while you're over here cops playing into his mom the importance of your job. >> Hey, I'm dealing with my son right now. >> Have a good day. I will. We can just keep trying. Just keep trying. She goes making stuff up again. She's making stuff up again. She's making up stuff. It's a She'll spill that over the internet and you'll have a thousand likes before you know it and none of it's true. >> She'll spill that over the internet and you'll have a thousand likes before you know it. He's got no respect for her. I think the feeling's mutual. She has no respect for him. There needs to be some mutual respect between the community and the police and that's what this channel is for. I try to call out good cops when I see them, but I call out bully cops when I see them, too. Now, these cops are in some regard doing their job. They didn't falsely arrest this kid for anything, so they didn't go that far. What they do, they have to really back up and evaluate what they do on a daily basis. They pull over 30 to 40 cars a day with the whole intent to search the car. You're going to run across people who don't encounter the police every day if you do that. If you pull over enough people, you're going to encounter innocent people. You need to understand that and treat them with a modicum of respect. Comment below, tell me what you think about this video. And if you got a mama bear like this, that's your mom, comment below on how she would handle something like this. Dr. Judge has merch now.
