Here's three ways to tell if you're dealing with a bully cop. Number one, the officer comes in hot. What I mean by hot is he comes in aggressive in his tone, in his demeanor, in his approach to your car. He comes in basically in an aggressive tone. The second way you can determine if you're dealing with a bully cop is every question he asks assumes guilt. How much have you had to drink today? Do you have anything illegal in your car? Where are you coming from? Where are you going to? He's asking probative questions that presumes that you're number one going to answer them and number two that you're actually guilty of something. And number three, a bully cop will always escalate when you stay calm. I teach people don't fight with this cop on the street. Do what he asked you to do. Just remain silent, ask for your attorney, never answer questions, and we'll fight about it in court.
