Is there a magic number of hours that the police have to release you? I've got a particular client who was in interrogation for hours because he didn't invoke his right to remain silent and he didn't ask for a lawyer until about 3 days later. He goes, "You know, you guys are just not believing what I'm saying. I probably need a lawyer." So, the people that don't follow this channel, they don't know to invoke their right to an attorney and they just go along to get along and that going along to get along can be a long time. They can be in these rooms, interrogation rooms, answering questions for hours. Sometimes without food, sometimes without water, sometimes for days because they didn't know better than to say, "I want a lawyer." You really need to learn what I'm teaching here and you need to invoke your right to remain silent early and often.
