Evidence planning by cops is obviously illegal. Is it prosecuted? So, some of you think that police might not be prosecuted for evidence planning. In Nashville, they absolutely would be prosecuted for planning evidence if they're caught. How do you catch them? Now, obviously with body cams, cops are getting caught doing things that they shouldn't be doing. And there are some officers who can get caught planting evidence. And when it happens, it's usually ugly because it's caught on tape, and there are some serious consequences for it. If the DA's office catches a cop planning evidence illegally, they're going to prosecute that police officer. They're not going to care about his previous cases or his pending cases. Because if a cop is caught planning evidence on one case, it ruins his credibility for every case.
