Investigators later alleged that the BMW M4 featured in this video was connected to a larger luxury vehicle theft operation that targeted high-end vehicles throughout Orange and Semino counties. According to investigators, the organization is accused of stealing 33 luxury vehicles valued at more than $2 million, including BMWs, Range Rovers, Mercedes G Wagons, Lamborghinis, and Ferraris. Authorities ultimately charged five men in the connection with the investigation, including D. Mauo Fugar. >> What the kind of name is that? What what was your mom thinking when she named you that? The two suspects shown in this video. Investigators alleged the group targeted affluent neighborhoods, identified desirable vehicles, and exploited vehicle security vulnerabilities to steal luxury cars before transporting many of them out of state. The pursuit featured in this video came to a dramatic end on I4 in Semino County at 11:47 a.m. when a stolen BMW M4 crashed and separated into two pieces. Despite the severity of the impact and the extensive destruction to the vehicle, both occupants somehow survived the collision. Authorities later tied the incident to a broader racketeering investigation through cell phone records, surveillance footage, and other investigative techniques. The defendants face charges that include racketeering, grand theft motor vehicle, burglary of conveyance, and related theft offenses.
