And this officer said, "Hey man, you're walking on the wrong side of the road. You're not walking on the sidewalk. Mind you, the road that he's on doesn't even have sidewalks or anything like that. Obviously, he's not going to walk on the sidewalk." But you having this officer really just wanted to get his name and his ID. But the thing about it is this guy didn't have his wallet on him. And for some reason, their system just couldn't find his name. So, this officer end up saying, "Well, since I can't find your name in our system, I'm going to have to take you to jail for walking on the side of the road, even though that there's no sidewalk." Will you guys be uh having to uh pull me over every time I walk to Lowe's to work? >> Will you guys have to pull me over every time I walk to Lowe's to work? Cuz there's not a sidewalk all the way there. I mean, that's what you're doing right now. I'm just trying to figure out why why it's just a big deal to walk back and forth to get food. I look both sides of the road, make sure I don't get ran over and everything. I use crosswalks when there's crosswalks. I mean, the sidewalk ends right here and you're pulling me over and there's no sidewalk anywhere around to walk home. And you can call the restaurant. They know I was just up there looking for my ID. the Giovani. The owner's there right now. He can vouch to who I am or why I'm over here looking. If you want to get me a ticket, that's fine. I just If you want to get me a ticket, I guess give me a ticket. I'm just trying to move on. >> I can't find this Ohio ID you're supposed to have. >> Cleveland, Ohio. >> Huh? >> Cleveland, Ohio. Yeah, >> right. So, I can't find it, right? It's not pulling up. It's not existing. >> Well, I mean, it expired like 7 years ago. I just haven't had a renewal on it. >> Doesn't matter. He can vouch to who I am. >> Said you have a twin. What's his name? >> His name's His name is John David. >> John >> John David. >> John David. >> Yes. Yes. >> I know parents like the word David. Our dad's name David as well. >> Food's going to go cold, sir. I mean, is anything else we can do? I mean, I'm giving you all the info I could possibly give you. 89 to79, right? >> 8979. August 7th. That's why I'm trying to get my wallet cuz it has everything in it. I got to have my wallet. Okay. >> And you know, he know he the guy would he'd tell you right now that I was just walking over there. He knows I was over there trying to find my wallet. So I had to have my ID. Okay. >> I need to work. >> Yeah. Where do you work at? >> Lowe's. Right here at the home improvement. Bruce is my boss over there. Let me tell you who I am. >> And you don't have any picture of anything that has your name on it? >> It's all in my wallet, man. Dead serious. There it is in the wallet. Okay. Okay, just stand right back here. >> Yeah, no problem. No problem. >> I'm going to have somebody else show up. Relax just because I'm required to. I'm just trying to get home to eat, man. I just know what the problem is. Like, I can't just walk home and go eat. Unfortunately, when you're in small towns in Texas, officers don't got nothing better to do. So, they'll try to harass you to get your ID to run you for warrants. >> Lived anywhere else outside of Ohio? >> No, I've been I just barely moved over here after my dad passed away. I just moved down here to be with some friends. The only people I have to stay with right now. >> Okay. So, you live in Ohio and then stretch, right? >> Oh, here in Texas. Yeah. >> Where in Texas? Oh, we we came in through Fort Worth over in Fort Worth and Dallas at DFW area and just took took a bus out here and then rode two other people to get out here. I met I met my friend over here, Phil, at a church in Still Water and he basically got me a place to stay for right now. >> When did you come? >> Not even like two months ago, man. Like I'm fresh. It's barely got here. I got pulled over walking home. I don't know what I'm doing wrong. >> I'm just letting her know what I'm doing. Recording the whole thing just to make sure everything's all right. Set all this stuff. >> Set it up on the hood. Set it up on the hood. Set it up on the hood. >> Set it down. >> Relax your arm. >> What am I? What are you doing? >> Stop. Listen to commands. >> Please tell me. >> We'll explain everything in just a second. Okay. Just ease up. >> I'm I'm fine. I'm not trying to resist or nothing. I just want to know what's going on. >> I see. I hear you. >> Please. >> We'll we'll let you know everything as soon as we get you. >> Larry, don't get me wrong. >> Good. I don't consent to any surges or seizures. I've been recording this whole thing. Can you just tell me why you're copying me? >> What's your date of birth? >> I told you 8979. >> 8979. >> All right. I'm just going to be honest with you, right? I can't find anything on you that you said you've had. So, I think you're lying. So, you're going to go to jail for walking on the wrong side of the road, we'll fingerprint you at the jail to figure out if you're actually being truthful. Okay? >> Now, I will tell Hang on. So, I'm going to let you know right now, if you're wanted, you have any warrants that you know of or even if you don't and you've lied to me about it, I'm just going to charge you. Okay? >> Well, that you already come on. Do you have anything on you that's going to [ __ ] me sick? >> No, I have no drugs or nothing. >> No wonder he won rookie of the year. He probably took so many people to jail for the most pettiest reasons because Clus obviously knew that there was no sidewalks on this road. He just wanted to get this guy's ID. >> Will you guys have to pull me over every time I walk to Lowe's to work? Cuz there's not a sidewalk all the way there. A sidewalk ends right here and you're pulling me over and there's no sidewalk anywhere around. >> Just another example. Officers will pull anything out their hat to get your ID. And then you have another officer saying he's going to have another officer show up. Like there's no reason to have a second officer here for somebody not walking on the sidewalk. You could have just wanted to take him to jail. >> I'm going to have somebody else show up. Relax just because I'm required to. >> And then you have in this officer say towards, "Hey man, since our system's not working, I can't find who you are. I'm just going to take you to jail for walking on the road." >> Be honest with you, right? I can't find anything on you that you said you had. So, I think you're lying to me. So, you're going to go to jail for walking on the wrong side of the road? We'll fingerprint you at the jail. >> This guy told his officer the full truth about who he was, and he still went to jail. But that's my take on it, though. Let me know what y'all think about the comment section. How you feel about this Cleburn police officer for arresting this guy for walking on the road. Mind you, there's no sidewalks on this road. This officer literally just found a petty reason just to get this guy's ID. He didn't even have it on him. And so you having this officer saying, "Oh, well, you know, since I can't find who you are, even though you're telling me the truth, I'm just going to take you to jail anyway. We're going to fingerprint you there." And it just goes to show, man, how bad these officers really be feeding for people's ID. And he probably got his name, found out he didn't have any warrants. Oh yeah, he walked on the road. So yeah, I'm just going to take him to jail for that. and this dude sat in jail all because of he went to the store to go get some food. That's my take on it though.
