You having this officer saying that they got a call about this guy displaying a firearm. He has this firearm out because he's open carrying. There's nothing illegal about that. And then you having this officer start asking questions, even asking the person that he's with him, "Ma'am, do you feel safe? Ma'am, are you sure?" Like this officer was like trying to fish for something, and this guy was like calling her out for it. I'mma watch it get my reaction. Let me know what y'all think about in the comment section. Let's get into the video. I'm sorry. I don't ans- answer questions without an attorney. I'm just trying to figure out where this is stemming from. Cuz I was doing my job, and you chose to engage with us. I didn't engage with you. >> not only did the person I was talking to >> Nobody engaged with you. See, I told you I'm I'm going to I'm going to invoke my fifth amendment right. >> I'm not accusing you of anything. I'm just asking what the issue is. Thank you. Ma'am, do you feel safe? Yeah. Yes? Yes. Okay. You don't look like you feel safe. Why Why are you so uptight? Like I said, you you watched him engage with me. I didn't engage with you. >> I'm doing my job. Okay. And so am I. >> vendor. So, what What was your point of Are you I I don't have to answer that. >> Trying to get famous or something? >> have to answer that. And if you pulled us over for that, you got a big problem coming. >> sir. Because I just had a complaint from a resident that you that you displayed your firearm to them. >> Okay. I'm carrying open. I'm allowed to carry open. Well, cuz you were you were you were progressing >> I I I I felt threatened, too. How's that sound? >> his neighbor, who is a deputy. And there was no point in doing >> I'm allowed to, though. First amendment. First amendment. >> Is there a reason for that? >> First amendment. You chose to uphold that when you took your oath. Did you not? First amendment. So, where is this coming from? You don't listen. Again, you engaged with me when I was doing my job, giving a warning. >> I didn't engage with you. I was on a public right of way. >> So, I don't understand what You can't stop people for that. Well, I can when somebody is saying saying that you they felt threatened because you displayed your firearm aggressively >> Uh uh people well well You you parked I I Well, I don't have to answer your questions. If that person feels so threatened, they better not come to Texas. >> I have an open firearm on my hip, which I I'm allowed to carry either way. Which I I'll be glad to show you. But I If you need like to need to show me No, you don't touch yours. I won't touch yours. >> Okay. No, no, no. I meant my license, not the No, you're fine. You don't even need a license right now. Right. >> The laws changed back in April. Right. Big Town Sheriff Police. Right in front of Oak On Lawrence and Mering Neck. Apparently you didn't check your system for the call that I made. What was that? About the the police car blocking the sidewalk. And that's a crime. The one that's parked next door to where you were. Oh, is that why you were recording it? I don't have >> I was needing an explanation. >> answer questions. You just volunteered information to me and I'm just trying to further this >> but I'm allowed to figure out what I want to tell you and what I don't. So I'll selectively >> opened that door up for me to ask further questions. >> Well, you can if you want, but I don't have to answer them. I don't have to help in the investigation. >> his house. >> I don't have to answer those questions. Nor am I going to. Okay. Sir, do you have your ID on you? For what? You sure you're allowed to ID me? >> we make contact with. >> I'd rather not ID. And again, like I just said, I just had a complaint from the the resident >> Well, are you going to Okay. with his kids on the porch. >> Okay. And you displayed your firearm. Well, I displayed my firearm as I got out of the car. Meaning it was open. So if, you know, he felt threatened by that, then he should have felt You're carrying one open, aren't you? I have a badge. What's that mean? You got a badge. >> I have business to be over there. You didn't have I have business, too. It was none of yours why I'm there. >> What I'm trying to figure out is what what your whole ordeal was. I see you just got out of the hospital. Are you okay mentally? Do you feel okay? None of your business. Because I'm kind of concerned with you having that firearm on your hip if you're not >> concerned and do your investigation and do what you got to do. But I don't have to answer questions. Is this your husband, sir? No. I mean She's a man, by the way. Not a sir. Is it I'm sorry. Is this your boyfriend? >> Yes. Okay. Or ex. So you got a kid. You said ex. >> You don't have to answer her questions. >> Okay. You guys live together? Yes. Yes. Okay. And that's our son. Okay. Sir, I'm talking to her. I wasn't talking to you. >> I'm allowed to and I'm allowed to talk, too. And I'm going to continue to talk. I'm going to advise her to keep her mouth shut. I'm not incriminating her in her anything. >> I know. I'm just simply making conversation. >> No, we're seized right now. Your blue lights are on and we're seized. I'm not answering any questions. You're detained because I'm further investigating what this resident said. He felt threatened. You guys pulled over on the side of the road in front of people's houses. All the residents were out. >> Okay. You openly had your firearm. People's kids are over there. >> illegal about that? When you're recording people's houses Are you kidding me? You should probably call your boss right now and ask him that. Ask your boss if you should have us detained right now. For carrying a firearm? >> like to speak with my supervisor? I could get I could give a [ __ ] less. So, would you like to speak with him or not? I want to be unseized right now or I'm going to sue your ass. Okay. Ma'am. Mhm. We didn't do nothing wrong. Sir, can you not touch your firearm, please? My firearm is nowhere near. I'll keep my hands here. >> hands where I can see them for me, please, okay? >> Yep. All right. Um do not go anywhere for me, please, okay? You guys are detained right now, okay? Just stay right here for me, okay? She said she's detaining us for videotaping people that felt uncomfortable. Did you go up onto the property? Nope. You stayed on the sidewalk? >> I certainly did. Not only did I I I called 825-2280 about the sheriff's deputy's car that's blocking the public right-of-way. So, there should be a call in for somebody to go over there for that. What part of the public right-of-way? I'm sorry. Is it extending past the sidewalk? >> Yes. The Cleves uh patrol unit Hamilton County Sheriff's Office car. All right. Did [clears throat] you call before the stop? After the stop. No, what do you mean? I just don't know if they >> Oh, it was before we got stopped here. Okay. Yeah. All right. I don't know if anybody >> I did, just so you know, it's my I just didn't want you to think I How come you started carrying when you're I don't know. Huh? I always have. Thanks for not being nasty. This was a just for the record just so you know, this was definitely retaliatory. She didn't like the fact that I was videotaping her. So, what she do? She waits till we leave and pulls us over. It's obvious. I mean, it's obvious. They said, "Oh, the neighbors said you had a firearm and they feel threatened because you're videotaping." Well, I mean I I don't know. You guys aren't the feelings police. And I don't mean I don't mean that you're supposed to be inhumane, but what about people's rights, you know? Then she says, "Oh, you just got out of the hospital. I'm concerned about your health." I mean, don't No, you're not. You're pissed off because I was videotaping. It's and it's obvious. We get pulled over right after we leave. She was definitely trying to find a way she could take away his right to carry. Then she says, "Oh, you just got out of the hospital. I'm concerned about your health." I mean, don't No, you're not. You're pissed off because I was videotaping. It's and it's obvious. We get pulled over right after we leave. And I I mean, whatever. I'm I'm at you. I'm All right. I forgot. I'm saying You know how you stick Yeah, my bad. No, it's it's comfy. You know what I mean? Just like how you Now, that's a new thing in the past couple years, isn't it? How cuz I noticed a lot of cops or police officers have the vest over there It's not like a regular uniform anymore, right? It's probably easier on your hips, I would assume, right? Yeah. But I Yeah, you know what I mean? Digging into your hips and stuff. Is that it? Okay. Thanks for your professional Yeah. Thank you. Yeah, the first officer was definitely on something. And just because he doesn't want to answer questions, she's thinking that the person he's riding with is in danger. Not only the person I was talking >> Nobody engaged with you. See, I told you I'm I'm going to I'm going to invoke my fifth amendment right. >> I'm not accusing you of anything. I'm just asking what the issue is. Ma'am, do you feel safe? Yeah. Yes? Yes. Okay. You don't look like you feel safe. Why why are you so uptight? Like I said, you You watched him engage with me. Because of you. A lot of people do get nervous whenever cops are around. And just because he was carrying, that was the reason why she stopped him. I I don't have to answer that. Trying to get famous or something? I don't have to answer that. And if you pulled us over for that, you got a big problem coming. >> sir, because I just had a complaint from a resident that you that you displayed your firearm to them. I'm carrying open. Then she's trying to pull the I just see you got out the hospital. Are you sure you're okay to carry? >> or deal with. I see you just got out of the hospital. Are you okay mentally? Do you feel okay? None of your business. Because I'm kind of concerned with you having that firearm. She's definitely trying to find a way to take his rights to carry. But that's my take on it though. Let me know what y'all think about in the comments section. How do you feel about this Green Township police officer for pulling these people over because she got a call? She wants to say that all these people called say they feel threatened that he was open carrying. If you going to get scared over that, don't come to Texas or down to the south. And then you having this officer even say, "I just see you got out the hospital. Are you all sure you're okay mentally?" Like she was really trying to find a way that she could like take his rights away to carry. Like yeah, she was acting very calm, but you could tell deep down that she was getting frustrated. For one, he wasn't answering questions and two, he wasn't bowing down to her because she was trying to find a way just to aggravate him even more when she could have just made this interaction quicker and just went about her day. She wants to stand here ask the person that he's riding with if she feels okay, does she feel threatened because apparently him not answering questions is weird to her. That's my take on it though. Let me know what y'all think about in the comments section. Make sure to like and subscribe, but y'all have a wonderful day. >> [music]
