five a video of Cincinnati police officers arresting a man here has millions of views on social media and today CPD announced it has launched an investigation into the situ situation let's bring in WCPO 9 news reporter Taylor nmo joining us live from CPD headquarters tonight so Taylor on the video that we see an officer here Tas a man while another officer draws his gun but what happened actually leading up to these moments Eddie Lee is the man who recorded the now viral video and you can see the interaction between officers and Lee's friend Johnny Taylor and Lee says once things started escalating he pulled out his phone and started recording Lee says him and Taylor had just gotten to government square a few minutes before officers approached them policeman just came over and was like I'm I know y ain't smoking me well sitting across the street Lee claims they weren't smoking or drinking and that Taylor spoke up you can't talk to us like that we're not even doing anything we just walked up literally just met up with each other in the 3 minute 45C video you can see the situation escal and officers use a stun gun on Taylor hey man hey he ain't got no gun bro and another officer draws his gun for what I a't nothing I ain't get nothing I'm backing up bro I'm backing up sir I'm backing up I spoke with Lee about the incident on Thursday after noon I do feel like was treated unfairly I was not armed and I wasn't doing nothing video you had your blun at somebody that was videoing we took his concerns to the president of the police Union we just spoke on the phone with Eddie Lee the one who was recording on the sidewalk and he feels that him and Johnny were treated unfairly by CPD officers what would your response to that be well let the investigation play out because there's a lot more to this than just a 9C clip of what actually occurred CPD is currently investigating the incident Cobra says the officer did exactly what they were trained to do and the officer was right to pull the gun what he's doing is trying to keep these officers who have their attention directed somewhere else to keep them safe do you feel it was appropriate to um draw the gun on somebody who was recording standing on the sidewalk well he wasn't drawing the gun on anybody in particular he had the firearm pointed at no one at any given time Taylor was charged with resisting arrest Lee was charged with obstructing justice we are a word be you can video so this officer wants to say or the president whever this guy is he wants to say there's more to it than a a 90 second clip bro so for someone to get arrested for resistant arrest or instructing that's a secondary [ __ ] charge where the [ __ ] is the first one at and I think this reporters just probably just generally didn't know that because they just said it like that just went over their heads like bro what the [ __ ] like what that's a secondary charge where the [ __ ] is the first one and they talk about um this dude and he did the right thing bro the first this dude like he was ready to catch a body with his nidel tur looking ass given time that's Taylor was charged with resisting arrest Lee was charged with obstructing justice we have a word of speech and we can video just like they can the video now has more than 13 million views in the day of social media it it's it does you know get to everybody very very quickly they're quick to pass judgment now we've requested a copy of both body camera footage and Metro surveillance video Cobra says both of those will likely be released once the investigation is complete and that's the end of that so my take on that bro first off you got this officer calling him boy and all this and all this put your hands behind your back but they said that that dude that um that got tased by these cops he got arrested for resistant arrest but that's a secondary charge the person that was recording and got arrested for instruction that's a secondary charge where the [ __ ] is the first one at like I think that that really just went over the reporter's head whenever they said they mentioned that and I don't know man that that's a real that that's a really really bad situation in my eyes and then you also have this officer right here who just pulled up like he playing Call of Duty or something bro like what and then they over guy that all this all the guy was doing was recording he wasn't doing nothing different than what this guy is doing right here just recording and they arrested him for obstruction and it's like bro that was just I don't I mean I don't see it that I understand that President uh that President police president whatever the [ __ ] that dude was where he was saying it's more to it than a 90c clip bro the the arrest says honestly says a lot cuz resist and arrest obstruct him secondary [ __ ] charges bro like be [ __ ] for real and then you know when you have these police unions and you know whatever and they do
