hi everyone donut here today we're going to be talking about a shooting that took place in Connecticut where three people were killed two police officers and the suspect YouTube this is an educational video/ newstory from a former police officer that follows YouTube's policies and terms of service first off I am throwing an ad in this video because every single penny from this ad will be going to the families of the slain police officers as for the third police officer I would love to treat you and your family to a fun time couple days in San Antonio or pretty much anywhere to get your mind off of everything so please don't hesitate to reach out all right let's do it this video is sponsored by my bookie the incident that we're going to be talking about today took place in Bristol Connecticut October 12th 2022 10:42 at night three Bristol Police Officers Sergeant Dustin Damonte officer Alex hamy and officer Alec Laredo responded to a domestic violence call I've said at 8 million times on this channel and I'll keep saying it just so you know domestic violence calls are super super dang dangerous it's one of the most dangerous calls that a law enforcement officer can respond to you never know what you're getting into and in this case it was an ambush set up by the suspect our 35-year-old suspect whose name I'm not going to say because F him and the horse he rode in on was waiting for officers to arrive he had put camouflage on and was hiding in some bushes outside of his house with an AR-15 police spoke with the shooter's brother and asked him to step out of the house around the same time the shooter opened fire from behind the officers in the entire incident the shooter fired over 80 times there isn't video of the initial burst of fire but all three officers were struck two of them went down instantly and later died from their wounds but officer Laro found some cover and assessed the situation you got to imagine being there when gunfire erupts they had no idea where it was coming from the guy was hiding in bushes this is a hard one to watch mainly because of the audio when I first watched it I thought it was one of the down officers screaming after doing a little bit more research I saw that all the officers were dudes so I have no idea who that woman is a neighbor maybe girlfriend wife of the dude I I don't know reports don't say we're just going to watch the rest of the video completely through because there's not too much to break down officer Laredo did an amazing job he assessed the situation he saw where the shooter was he found cover got a good angle on the shooter fired one shot and killed him shots fired shots fired more car send everyone officer shot officer shot off shot oh oh my oh my God the address 310 310 redone clear 10 to 14 they're already going my [Applause] one down suspect down as far as why the suspect decided to lure Bristol Police to his house that night it's unknown some sources are saying that he did have a runin with the Bristol Police at a bar the previous night so that could be it maybe he was holding a grudge as for officer Laredo he is currently at home recovering from his wounds I'm I'm going to leave some links in the comments below that were put out by the department these are just some Charities to help out the families and officer Laredo thanks for watching the ad at the first of the video I don't ever like putting ads on videos where officers die but like I said every single penny is going to go help the family if you want to help support the channel you can go over to Donut operator.com get some super sweet merch come over to my patreon where I have donut after dark now I think there's I got 11 episodes up I'm about to knock out the 12th until next time everyone please have a fantastic day backer oh
