Who's he? >> Cuz my back neighbor is Steve Panel, >> right? >> Yeah, I told him that on >> um >> trying every avenue he can to shut me down. >> Yeah, >> you've got dogs barking. Okay, no problem. So, I text the manager. We let the barking dogs in. >> That went on for a couple of months and then it just kept escalating and escalating, him getting more and more mad. And then finally, I in all honesty asked the guy, "What do you want me to do?" Like, "Whatever you want me to do, I'll do." And his response was, "I suggest you quit letting dogs bark." He called animal control and sent them over here, filed a complaint against me saying who knows what. So to write him a ticket for unnecessary noise. >> Okay. Can he do it? Someone from the the city attorney wants it written. >> Somebody from the city attorney wants it written. >> Yes. >> Okay. Cuz this is putting us in a really bad spot coming out here issuing an arrest with basically nothing. What's good, YouTube? It's BB Cass back again with another video and another reaction. And today's video is from the Broer City Police Department over there in Louisiana where you had this guy that runs his animal service business. He has all of his paperwork and everything like that. You having a fire chief deputy who stays behind him who keeps on putting complaints and complaints on this guy in hopes of getting him shut down. And you will see since this guy is the fire chief deputy, he knows all of the officers and everybody that's city officials and he wants to put in a few favors in hopes of getting this guy shut down. He's not going for it. And you will see in this video just how much harassment he's been dealing with where you even had this officer call his lieutenant and saying that he didn't want to write the ticket for this guy. Like you could tell that this officer didn't feel comfortable doing this. And it just goes to show, man, like I said, when you want to put them favors in, you're in that circle. I guess you could just get it done like that. I'mma watch it. Give my reaction. Let me know what y'all think about the comment section. Let's get into the video. >> I did. She did. >> What' she say? >> Um, she said the same thing. He said that he he has no business coming to the city because this is city property, not parish. >> Uhhuh. >> And u she said that they going to set up some type of meeting and do what they call their side. But um he said that he going to do a lawsuit against us and him. We going to put a lawsuit. Like I said, I don't like being put in the middle of this. I ain't did. So, um I did take I did take her back, but she's still inside. >> Stacy? >> Yes. >> Okay. >> What's going on? >> Hi. >> Hey, >> nice to meet you. >> Nice to meet you. >> Sorry. >> Uh did we get it figured out or who was it? >> It was apparently Rodney from permits city. because my back neighbor Steve Panel, >> right? >> So, >> and yeah, I told him that on my >> um >> trying every avenue he can to shut me down. >> Yeah, >> I guess um permits doesn't have the ability to write tickets in the city, but for some reason he does something for the county that lets him write tickets is what it sounded like he was. >> I got no clue. >> Rodney Taylor. >> Rodney Taylor. >> Your position with the city? Okay. >> Director of permits. >> All right. >> And he come down here on behalf of y'all or >> I'm pretty sure Steve knows. >> And this is all his own business. >> Yeah, it's his own business. Um, and like I said on the phone, there's no permit for an animal service >> um business specifically. So >> Scott Connie was back all the way up to the beginning when we bought this place from Zach Taylor's old lady. >> Yeah. >> Right. She would bend over backwards for this dude >> and >> to help or whatever. >> I'm not going to do that because I'm within my my rights within the law. >> Okay. But let me interrupt you a little bit. They have done a lot to try to >> to make things better to try to accommodate him. And the fact that you got animal control saying this just shows that he's been really trying his hardest to meet that guy's needs. >> Got 8 to 10 grand and stuff to try to silence the noise, right? >> And I've done everything I can. I mean, at first I was cordial to the guy, but one afternoon he walked out and according to one of my employees, >> couldn't see his hand. He walks out on the porch, raises in the hand, he hears a bang and sees a flash. Thank >> give me just a second. That's my lieutenant. >> Yes, sir. Yeah. Uh Rodney Rodney Taylor from the city permits permits director. So now where were we? I don't remember where we were. >> So >> I won't lay down for this guy. And at first we were amicable, right? He would text me and say, "You've got dogs barking." Okay, no problem. So I text the manager. we let the napping dogs in. That went on for a couple of months and then it just kept escalating and escalating, him getting more and more mad. And then finally I in all honesty asked the guy, "What do you want me to do? Like whatever you want me to do, I'll do." And his response was, "I suggest you quit letting dogs bark." [Applause] And then he called animal control and sent them over here, filed a complaint against me saying who knows what. So she came, checked everything out, everything was good. >> And while all that was going on, my employee came and said, "Yeah, last night he walked out on his porch and raised his hand up in the air. I heard a loud bang, saw a flash >> while I was outside in the yard." >> Mhm. >> So I called him, filed a police report against him, and then he's pissed about that. I did not pursue charges against him. You know, I just wanted something on record that that that happened because this is clearly going to continue to escalate and escalate. >> Oh, yeah. It's getting >> way up there now. >> Yeah. I mean, this >> my director's been involved. >> This is a big problem. >> He sent me to deal with it because he didn't know animals. >> And, you know, I I have I've offered to buy the guy's house because I'd heard that he wanted to sell it anyway. >> You know, I I've put sound barriers up. I've offered to sit down with him and whoever his contact is with the city to try to work it out peacefully, but this is the >> I offered to sit down and he said, "Nope, it's not going to do any good >> with him." >> Okay. >> Yeah. All of us in the same room so that we can come up with a solution that's best for everybody. >> And the guy that came down, what was it? Rodney Taylor. >> Rodney. Yeah. >> And he is who? >> City per director of city permits. >> Director of city permits. >> Or maybe it's director of permits. And what did he say when he came down? What was >> uh I mean he didn't really say much to me. I have to have to look back at the tape. I don't remember him saying too much. >> Did he call y'all? >> No. >> You called? >> No. I mean, did he did he has he ever called y'all? Okay. >> Steve or Grunty? >> Either one of them. >> Steve called us and I personally sat down with Steve. That's when I offered, you know, a sit down with everyone to see what could maybe >> be done >> be done. And he said, "No, it's not going to do any good." >> Um, obviously there's >> two very different stories going on there. >> But every time I've been here, I can hear barking inside where the people are, but when I'm outside, I might hear a bark once in a while, but I don't hear consistent barking. Now, the first time I came, they had just put some dogs out. I heard them barking for a few minutes and then they stopped. But he seems to not want them at all. >> At all. >> Yeah. >> Um, you know, and my point to him was, you know, we have to find a way for our businesses to be able to to function. >> He's a resident. >> And >> he's literally the only one. And you know, when I was here the first time, I suggested maybe you start letting them out a little bit later or you know, whatever. And they they even tried that. >> What's his complaint hours like? I mean, or is it just various? >> Scotty, we we get here at 6:30 in the morning to start out and we leave at 6:00 at night. So, between >> 6:00 p.m. 6:30 a.m. There ain't a dog outside anywhere. We shut off the lights. The dogs quiet down. >> So, there's complaints during the daylight out. Yes. >> Yeah. >> And generally on the weekends. >> Generally on the weekends. >> Yeah. >> Okay. >> He says his wife can't even go out and have her coffee in the morning anymore. Um, you know, >> but the business was a dog. I mean, it was a boarding facility before they bought it. >> Yeah. I remember eight years. >> Mhm. >> Six years total. And I think part of the problem is he it sounds like he may have more business than she did and so he has more dogs, >> but we can't I mean what do we want to keep our businesses from thriving? That doesn't make sense to me. >> It's pretty obvious this guy's trying his hardest to get this guy's business shut down. >> Give me just a second cuz Yeah. Now we're getting dragged in the middle of all this. >> Yeah. [Music] Do you know what the deal is going on out here? >> It originally started with some sort of animal complaint. We're supposed to contact the parish out there to issue a ticket, but we can't do it for the parish because it'll go to parish. Our city was supposed to go out there and do it. But now it turns out there should be a guy named Rody Taylor or Turner that's out there. >> He's gone. >> Okay. What did he ask you all to do? He was Bradford. I didn't get a phone call until after this was all over, but Bradford uh told me that he asked him to write him a ticket for unnecessary noise. >> Okay. Can he do it? >> Someone from the the city attorney wants it written. >> Somebody from the city attorney wants it written. >> Yes. >> Okay. Cuz this is putting us in a really bad spot coming out here issuing an arrest with basically nothing. Rody with the attorney. Yeah. Well, it came from the city attorney and we were to assist Scotty Taylor and he wants a ticket. We to write that ticket. >> Okay. So, >> what was it? Do me a favor, Scotty, cuz I'm driving down the road. It sounds like you're driving down the road, too. >> No, I'm the deal. >> Okay. Text me the ticket number and what the orders that you wrote it under. >> Okay. The orders that we wrote it under. >> Ordinance? Oh, the city ordinance. >> Yes. >> It's unnecessary noise. >> Okay. You wrote a ticket for unnecessary noise >> for guard Taylor's request. >> Yeah. >> Which came from the city attorney. >> I guess it did. >> Yeah. Well, that's what we got. All right. Let me make another call. That's what you all did. >> All right. >> All right, buddy. >> All right. >> Put in your hardest every day to run a business. is just to have somebody try to take you down. I'll be suing too because you're having this guy really trying to work with him, trying to do everything he can to regulate this sound and it just wasn't working. >> Okay, no problem. So, I text the manager, we let the walking dogs in. That went on for a couple of months and then it just kept escalating and escalating him. >> But when you having this officer that was on the phone with his lieutenant, he was not comfortable at all writing this ticket. >> Somebody from the city attorney wants it written. >> Yes. Okay. cuz this is putting us in a really bad spot coming out here issuing an arrest with basically nothing. This officer was not comfortable at all riding this ticket because he knew damn well this guy did nothing wrong. But that's my take on it though. Let me know what y'all think by the comment section. How you feel about the bro city police officer for coming to this guy's business. Then you having a deputy chief of the fire department just keep on making calls, harassing this guy, trying his hardest to get this guy's business taken down. And you having this guy literally work with him, doing everything he can, it still wasn't working. And even when this officer was on the phone with his lieutenant, he was not comfortable with giving this guy this ticket. You having a lieutenant said, "We just going to do it just going to do it, you know, forward to me." Like, they did not care at all. And like I said, man, when you know the city officials and you're in that circle, you could put in a few favors to do whatever you want apparently. That's my take on it though. Let me know what y'all think about the comment section. Make sure to like, subscribe, and y'all have a wonderful day. [Music]
