what's up everyone donut here today we're gonna do the video a little bit different because my kitchen is being torn out and it's really loud in my house and I want to make a video and I can't because it's so loud today we're gonna talk about a question that I am asked a lot by people on stream and people and emails and people in my videos in the comments who aren't toxic that question is donut how do you prepare yourself for the police academy all the cad amis are different but i can tell you a general guideline on what you can prepare for and how you can get through the academy without getting your ass thrown out one of the biggest tips I can give people wanting to join the military wanting to go to a police academy is a stay away from crime oh no [ __ ] donut especially crimes of moral turpitude this includes shoplifting theft fraud things like that most agencies if you've ever had a charge of any of those things they won't even look at you if you smoked a little the devil's lettuce or you did some drugs at a younger age just go ahead and tell them I told him I smoked weed when I was a teenager and everything was fine they want you to be honest with you and most of the time they can tell if you're lying to them also try not to rape or murder anyone we're gonna talk about Fitness a lot of the questions I'm asked about preparing for it have to do with getting in shape for a police academy the one thing that you probably need to focus on for any police academy is cardio you need to run you may hate running but you're probably gonna have to run quite a bit in any Police Academy that you go through a good program that's that's fantastic for beginners you can find on the sill Swick website if you're going into the military go into a police academy or anything they have a huge huge guide a mate of amazing resources for free that's SIL sweet calm I'll be sure and put those links in the comments below also I'm also a very solid believer and picking up heavy things and putting them back down so get a solid weight training program - there are hundreds of them that you can find online for free I'll list a few of my favourite ones in the comments and the description below I just got into straight weightlifting for bulk a few months ago I've always been kind of more of a runner swimmer crossfitter type and I can't tell you how much better I feel after putting a little muscle on I've never been able to put muscle on in my life really I've always had like a runner swimmers type body and within the past 3 months I've put like 15 pounds of muscle and it feels really good I was actually comfortable enough the other day to put up progress pics of myself so no matter how skinny you are I think you can't put on muscle or no matter how fat you are just go ahead and start working out you'll feel so much better nutrition as far as nutrition goes just cut out all the [ __ ] stop eating pizzas stop eating burgers and french fries and sugary ass sodas it's not good for you the best tip that I can give you is when you're preparing your own healthy Mills go to the grocery store and stick to that outside of the grocery store don't go down the aisles because the outside always has your fresh fruits vegetables meats things like that I can't give you professional nutrition tips I can just tell you eating clean is better than eating a bunch of [ __ ] as far as supplements go I get all mine from milk or calm a Texas police officer named Jason Bourne actually runs that company if you use the code donut you get 30% off as far as the interview process goes you're probably gonna have to do some kind of board or interview with the person in charge go ahead and learn as much as you can about the agency that you're interviewing for learn how many sworn officers they have who the chief are the sheriff is learn their their motto a lot of departments that a lot of agencies have mottos learn their mission statement things like that look on their website learn as much about the agency as you can because they're gonna ask you what do you know about our agency and if you can tell them specifics especially their mission statement they're gonna be very impressed let's say you get through the interview process and they say hey we'll sponsor you to a police academy here are some do's and don'ts for a police academy don't sleep with other students don't sleep with the instructors not even the hot redhead don't draw dicks on other students property don't tell other students that they're worthless even though you lay awake at night staring at the ceiling wondering what kind of divine intervention call it's an agency to hire their dumb ass even though someone's a Blue Falcon try not to punch them in the face you're gonna have blue Falcons in your class you're gonna have blue Falcons at your agency no matter what you do there's always gonna be blue Falcons they're gonna tell on you for stupid [ __ ] we had a guy almost get kicked out of my Academy because he's really white he's like hundred percent Irish we were out in the Sun all day he was beet red and he said ah damn I'm too white for this a black student heard him say that and told the cadre and he almost got kicked out for that watch what you say there are people there other students mainly that will try and [ __ ] you and I'm not saying don't make friends there's some people that say you're going there to learn how to be a police officer not to make friends that's [ __ ] don't listen to that if someone tries to tell you that if you're gonna be working with these people at sister agencies for the rest of your career so you want to have friends Network as much as possible with that being said don't light your farts on fire in the dorm with your friends oh and don't worry you're gonna watch into watch training day and super troopers a million times with those friends be the first person to volunteer for everything and don't be scared of failing especially when it comes to OC and Tasers just go ahead and get that [ __ ] out of the way you're gonna have people that want to be the last ones because they're putting it off but just get out the way it's gonna suck the first time I got OCD I was in the Navy I was gonna be auxilary security and so I had to go through the whole pepper spray program and that what the way they do it is you have a baton and you'd go to different stations after you've been sprayed in the last station you fight this big-ass dude wearing a padded suit a lot of you may have heard of the red man well our red man said I have a bad knee don't hit me in my bad knee when you get to my station first thing I do blind is [ __ ] I run up and I whack him in the bad knee as hard as I can so he punches me in the face as hard as he can and he broke my nose so I'm pepper sprayed got a broken nose I passed the course though and then right after the course I went to use the restroom and I got pepper spray on my wobbly bits it's such a good day for me if you are in the Academy and you're close to becoming police officer make sure you grow the biggest mustache that you can thinking thinking thinking emoji just remember when you're in any kind of training like that whether it be for the police are the military that it is what you make of it there are gonna be dirt bags and turds who want to bring you down that there are always those people just like the blue Falcons you're always gonna have the dirt back interns and usually they are one of the same if you go in there with a negative attitude like a [ __ ] this is [ __ ] stupid this is [ __ ] boring then you're gonna fail if you go in there with a positive attitude say [ __ ] you I'm getting paid for working out I'm getting paid to shoot guns I'm getting paid to learn about the law you're gonna do good and you're gonna be happy just because you're in the Academy also don't think that you're a police officer some of the students in our class were able to drive patrol cars back and forth between the police academy and their agency one of them got pulled over one time about I don't know two weeks into the Academy and he tried to tell a state trooper I'm one of you why are you even pulling me over after he was doing 95 down the interstate in a patrol car he wasn't at the academy for long after that I'm gonna leave a bunch of useful links in the description in the
